    Vena quickly got up and rushed to his side. "What happened? Are you okay?"

    "You still didn't deserve this. And it probably will be hard for you, once you start getting your memories back."

    "I'm sorry." She looked up at him, and in her eyes there was an expression of remorse, or perhaps longing.

    "Yeah! I have no idea how or why it happened... somehow my magic must have made it change."

    Vena just sat and put her head down, exhausted, worried, and guilt-ridden. @Rallohir

    "Sure... Rue, I think we might have just made more Stacis crystal!"

    TAAron's eyes lit up. "I think it's very good!"

    TAAron examined the sphere. "I think it changed. The gemstone, I mean."

    "It doesn't interact with other magic." The frost had begun to melt from the sphere, and TAAron picked it up. "Wait... shouldn't this be glowing green? It's emerald."

    "I'm not sure, but it did something." TAAron reached for it, then quickly jolted away. "Wow, that's cold." The sphere glowed with a bright white light that refracted in unexpected ways, casting strange patterns on the walls.

    "Okay..." He took one of the spheres in his hand, and closed his eyes. The glow appeared, and began to coalesce in his hand, faster than last time but still very slowly. It moved into the sphere, and seemed to infuse it with its light. TAAron yelped, eyes snapping open and quickly dropping the sphere. It had formed a layer of frost.

    "Okay. Is it alright if I do the trance... thing?"

    TAAron approached her. "Hey. How's it going with the thing you were making?"

    When you get into a conversation about what color mirrors are, or what the worst death ever would be, or when you spend half an hour making up the social commentary secretly embedded in nursery rhymes. Or when you spend like an hour messaging someone back and forth with circle puns.

    "We're still at the inn. You passed out randomly, but it hasn't been too long." "That's Eddie and Lilyana." Vena pointed at them in turn. "Uh... Rallohir lost his memory in a fight a bit ago."
