    Why... The man sighed, then started dragging his staff away from the group, ignoring the officers.

    "I'm not paying for a legal defense. I don't know what this is supposed to be, but I doubt conventional law applies to it."

    The man nodded slowly, and rubbed his temples. "This is a strange group."

    The man sighed. He raised his staff and gave the person a small shove. This should send him flying. And if he's physically unaffected, it'll still hurt badly.

    "Do you really want me to hit you with my staff?"

    "...You're here to rob me?"

    "I have no reason to fight you, I don't think."

    "I guess I will stay, for now. See what this is about." Don't underestimate the power of very heavy objects and those who can wield them.

    Right, and the magical stuff might do that. Also, I got it. He didn't, because they never called it a stick in their conversation. "It's not a stick. It's a staff."

    Interesting. Though I am debating giving the staff some extra magical oomph that might make a full hit considerably more deadly, even to those that are normally not very susceptible to physical attacks. "Well... Should I be sticking around here?"

    Is he immortal? Could he survive having his body basically completely obliterated? "I wasn't planning on it."

    "That's why I carry the staff." That's... very hard to parse. "I'm not going to give you my name."

    The man lifted the staff out of the hole in the ground, then held it level. He gave Eldyn what seemed like a light shove. It felt like being hit by a truck, knocking them back with unusual force.
