Kole lowered his, but did not holster it.

"You're Ikanlian Reed? If that's true, put your gun down, and you know I'll have no reason to shoot you. I'm here to hear what you have to say."

"Who are you?"

Kole had a previously concealed gun drawn in an instant and trained it on the newcomer.

Kole looked up, trying to see what Cora was looking at.

Kole watched as she left and, naturally, had no reaction to the voice above.

Kole missed the words again. "What?" he prompted, attempting to get her to repeat or elaborate.

"Seems rather pointless if we're leaving already."

"Get to know each other, you mean?"

"...All sorts of things."

"Ah. You can call me Kay."

Kole saw the young girl speak, but did catch what she said. The darkness and the way the other two were kept a moderate distance from each other and from him made it very difficult to catch everything by eating lips. He cleared his throat. "Again?"

Kole said nothing.

"I'm just careful with my words."

"So I've been told."

Kole looked back and forth between the two of them as they talked, trying to keep up.

This time. Kole caught part of what she said, and guessed the rest. "Yeah, guess so."

Kole read it out loud, seeing no reason to keep it to himself. @InfiniteInsanity

"So you just walked in on your own? Then what was the point of the code phrase?" He grabbed the letter as he talked, then looked back to see her reply as he opened it.

Kole, who was looking away, did not catch that she had spoken. "You're not behind this? Then who heard the phrase and opened the door for me?"

Kole was momentarily surprised by the young girl, but chose not to comment. Instead, he shifted his attention to the woman and stepped closer. Although he really only did it because it was dark in the factory and he needed a closer look at her lips, he figured it might lend him an air of confidence that would work in his favor. He said nothing, silently awaiting an explanation.

Kole cautiously stepped inside.

Kole approached the entrance and looked around warily, then spoke the phrase as instructed: "No man or woman born, coward or brave, can shun his destiny."
