Terrance sat silently.

Terrance decided to wait just a little longer, then look away so as to avoid hurting Jace too badly.

Terrance kept staring, trying to change something about the terror he was imparting. But it flowed freely. There was nothing he could do.

Nothing changed. The onslaught continued, and it became impossible for Jace to focus.

"Whatever you did when I first showed up helped. Can you do something like that again?" @InfiniteInsanity

He sighed, and looked Jace in the eye.

"Will there be information there to help me?"

He clearly did not want to.

Terrance sighed, then shrugged. "Fine. But it won't work."

"What exactly do you want me to do?"

"We're just doing it once."

"I need you to agree, or I'm just not going to do anything."

"Will you leave me alone if I do one?"

Terrance groaned. "Okay. How about this. I do one of your experiments. Just one. It probably won't cause too many problems. Will you leave me alone, then?"

"I told you, it's not worth it."

"It's a terrible idea, and it won't work."

Terrance just shook his head.

"It's not up to you."
