Pics speed carries him into the wall, and he quickly leaps, bouncing off of the wall. He lunges at Tal again, passing through smoke. The smoke caused him to choke right before he hit Tal, and the loops powering his speed and his sword flickered.

Seeing this, Pic flies forward, humming his tune faster and faster sword raised. He takes a swing at Tal, attempting to dislodge him from the center.

Pic heard the screams, and they shook him to his very core. He let out a string of curses in a quick, descending melody summoning a sword hilt. He looped an intense beat, and stuck the loop onto the hilt of the sword, forming a blade. He then hummed a countermelody that was fast and furious, and that loop split in two and wrapped around his legs. He looks at Aventine, in shock and motionless, and his heart hurt for her. However, the screams of the people above snapped him back to reality. He takes Aventine's hand. “I’ll just be a measure,” he says with a smile and a squeeze. He then darts off way faster than should be possible. He finds stairs, runs up them, and comes across the 8th floor of the clinic. Clinic 8th Floor Pic took in the sights and dove into the smoke. He began working his way through the hall, carrying people out to the stairwell. The smoke grew thicker, and caused him to cough. Anytime he stopped singing, any time a cough interrupted his song, he stumbled. Every stumble filled him with fear. Yet, he had to keep moving forward. @Edema Rue @Spark of Hope

Pic started humming a low constant tone. “Tal, I’m here to help,” he states.

Pic stood in front of Tal. “Hey,” he hummed. “Want to talk?”

The three walked down to the basement, and quickly found Tal, Addison, and Roy. @RoyalBeeMage @Edema Rue @Weaver of Lights

Pic walks with the three down to the basement. He shoots concerned looks in Avenntine's direction as they walk to the basement, but doesn't say anything. He seemed content to simply hum.

"You're focusing on the negative again," Pic hummed. "People who want the best for everyone tend to do that, and it eats away at their insides. I'd prefer your insides to be whole." Pic smiles, pecks Aventine on the cheeks and lets go of her. "I'm going to go find Tal, if you want to come, feel free. Something wasn't quite right with him, and I gotta see what it is."

"Yes they have," Pic responds. He releases the hug, holds her at arms length by the shoulders, and looks into her eyes. "Because of you, Jar Man has hope. Because of you, people had a chance to be safe. You're focusing on one missed note while the rest of your performance has been beautiful."

Pic made the hug tighter.

"I am just going to pretend I know what those words mean, and hug you until you want me to stop," Pic hummed in reply.

Pic stared at Aventine, then moved in front of where she was looking. He wrapped her back up into a hug, intending to offer support and shock her back out of the stupor she was in.

Pic’s song had been getting more and more tense as the conversation went on. As the conversation began to have the flipping of personalities in both parties, Pic took a few steps forward so he was slightly in front of and to the side of Aventine. He was still close enough to keep her hand, yet far enough to leap into action without hurting others. At Tal’s last comment, Pics song reached a crescendo and ended in a dissonant chord. Pic watched the two leave the room. “That was… unlike both of you,” he hummed to Aventine.

His hug tightened, and then he let her go, hands on her shoulders. “I’m glad this is happening,” he hummed. Pic observes the conversation, listening to the two of them and humming along with their voices. At the snap, Pic begins to step in between Aventine and Tal, but relaxes when Tal relaxes.

He pulls her into a tight hug and holds her for a few moments. Pic shrugged. “Not really,” he hums.

Pic chuckles. “Based on the way my voice has dropped an octave, it’s a little longer than that.” Pic smiled at Tal. Pic shrugged. “You may run the place, but that’s why we are all here, one way or another.” Pic nodded at Tal, and simply let him speak, humming along to his words.

Pic watched the crow fly away, then sat up, scooted close to Aventine, and pecked her in the cheek. “How long were we out for?” He asks with a slight smile on his lips.

Pic sat up and ran his hands though his hair to wake himself up. “Is the response good?” He hums, finishing out the loop and dismissing it.

Pic falls sideways as the support/pillow named Aventine move out from under him. “What crow?” He grunts from the ground.
