Pic moves to set Aventine down on his bed, and realizes that the room is full of glitter. His face contorts, but quickly recovers. Not now, he thinks, but whoever did this needs to answer. After considering for a moment, he sets Aventine down in the glitter anyway, and ushers the rest of the people into his room and out into the hallway. @shortcake

Pic grabbed it and slashed at the air. A gash appeared, and it led to Pic’s small, cramped room in the Clinic. He turned to the others near him. “This way, quickly,” he hummed. He stepped through with Aventine’s body. @Thaidakar the Ghostblood (yes I read the SU this is so you can find this later) @The Bookwyrm

Pic looked at the falling debris, and decided he needed to go. Still humming Aventine’s Waltz, he picked her up and began running to the beat. He carried her past debris, past danger, all without him thinking. After all, the song came from where he felt most safe. Soon, he was back with Lyla. @Thaidakar the Ghostblood

Pic runs through the fight and chaos after Lundyn disappears. He frantically runs to the area where Aventine was before, and notices an otherworldly glow from the rift. Aventine’s message is glaring in Pics eyes, but he ignores it. It isn’t Aventine herself, after all. Pic starts whistling the waltz he and Aventine had danced to for the first time. It was the main thing that reminded him of her. His staves reappeared and wrapped around his feet. As debris crashed and rained around Pic, he quite literally danced out of the way. Out of the way of pain, out of the way of loneliness, towards hope. His feet were moved by something, or someone, else. When the song came to its final measure, Pic came out of a trance he didn’t quite know he was in, found himself standing over Aventine. He panicked. “No no no no,” he said, kneeling down over the unconscious body of Aventine. Pic quickly leaned over her and listened for breathing, and his worries were dampened, but not extinguished.

The staves around her legs grow tighter, and then dissipate. Lundyn begins fading away as she sings, but feels a pull towards Pic grow stronger the louder she sings. “You’ll be safe, and you only need to sing to find me again.” He hesitates. “Wait a few days before singing. I want to be safe too.”

Indeed I do. Also @Kidpen didn’t realize you were a returning player until after the death had happened. that’s kind of my bad, saw a kill that wouldn’t arise much suspicion and then went with it. Had no thought for new/returning players. Btw I loved reading the dead doc. What’s y'all's thoughts on the elim doc?

Graduation for me is going on this weekend.
4 years of work, and I finally have graduated college! Now onto grad school.

Pic nodded. “I have to go,” he sang, but I’ll leave some help for the kid. He turned to Lundyn. “You can if you sing!” He sang at her. “You’ve sung before, just sing along with me again.”

Pic set Lundyn down, and found the juice box. “Can you get her to safety?” He asked Lyla, handing her the juice box.

Pic’s thoughts are a jumble. I can save the child. Once that’s taken care of, then worry about the girlfriend. I don’t know what losing one will do, but I for sure can’t lose both. Save the child. That’s all that matters right now. @shortcake

Darknesses’ presence began to erode the dagger that Aventine had. No matter how much will she put into the dagger, it wouldn’t work. As for Pic, he hesitated when Spark left, but Lindy was still on his back. He had to find the others, surely they had more experience than he did. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him.

The stave began to glow, and Pic felt magic be drawn out of his voice. Aventine began to fade away, and although Pic felt peace, he also felt stress. He gripped Aventine’s hand, and smiled at her as she sang, and then began to panic as she sobbed. Her presence solidified again, and the anklet broke, redoubling around Lundyn’s other ankle. Pic cursed, dropping the body at the change in voice. As he watched the dragon leave, he ran back to the base of the wreckage of the tower to find the others, practically dragging Aventine and Lundyn. Pic nods at the air, then carefully pics up Elan’s body. His strength was just barely enough to do so. His song continued, snd he kept an eye on Aventine and Lundyn.
