    Bat yanked Shoe in front of him, whipped out a dagger, and set it to Shoe's neck. Beosta gasped and pulled out her crossblade, but she couldn't risk Shoe's life. "Then you'll know that Narration doesn't work on my kind, since we're from the Eternal Mountains. If any of you try anything--" he eyed all of them-- "I'll either kill him or teleport away. Good luck finding him again." His hand trembled slightly, but his resolve was set.
