    “Uh…” Bat glanced at Tam, feeling rather uncomfortable. “Probably,” he admitted. “Why?”

    She shrugged. “You can come with us! We have magic wagons. We just need to find a power source!” Bat was extraordinarily relieved. Imma guess Gaioh was a human again. He grinned and petted Feather many many many times, then directed Gaioh to the bookshelf so he wouldn’t get in the way. Then he turned to Tam again. “Thank you. A lot.” — Lady Bug shrugged. “I can’t rob you of purpose. Go find your rolling pin.”

    He smiled. “Good. That’s very good.” He hesitated. She was probably still to weak… But at the same time, there was Rose… “I was, uh… wondering if you could bring Gaioh here… and maybe Feather. —It’s not super urgent if you don’t feel up to it yet.” — “hmm. I can’t help you.” “Our energy source. Shiny, blue?”

    Their eyes lit up, and a girl ran forward doen the dune and grabbed his shoulders. “Hello! Oh my gosh, we thought we were gonna die of being lost! We’re almost out of ciol too…”

    A group came over the sand dune, all looking tired. Their wagons moved on their own, but very slowly. The people weren’t riding them, even though there appeared to be plenty of room.

    Stea puffed out her chest. “She is,” he agreed. “Do you have any animals?”

    He dried her feet off and put on the socks. “Let me know when you feel well enough to stand and change out of those clothes. I’m sure Cricket has something around here.” He tilted his head, concern shining from his eyes. “Tam… how are you… doing?” — “Woulf your existence have meaning if you were to find a rolling pin?” “Hmm,” she muttered. “Of course, of course. There are people on the other side of that sand dune.” She pointed.
