    He reached up and rested his hand on her tiny head until they got back to the cabin. For the sake of consistency, he scowled at the snoring Elliot, who was now tangled in the fort, and found some bread in the cupboards. “You want anything in particular? Water, maybe?”

    She started toward the kitchen, refusing to let go.

    After another minute, he shifted, keeping an arm around her shoulders to walk back to the cabin.

    “What sort of program are you suggesting?” He kinda didn’t want to either. “Thank you for caring about me,” he whispered.

    “Hmm. An Author-focused movement.” “I’m…” Stop saying that. “Let’s go back to the cabin. Maybe find something to eat.”

    “Tam, I…” he squeezed her. “Are you okay?”

    “Of course, of course.” She tapped her fingers on the wall. “I’ll have to find other students, however.”

    She smiled. “My lessons will involve more than doctorates, my dear man.” “I’m really sorry,” he whispered.

    He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, hugging her while he thought. That had been stupid of him. Really stupid. But… he felt somewhat better now. Maybe a lot better. So maybe that made it worth it? Regardless, he wished he hadn’t made her worry. “Hmm. Rebus Danger Clarke.”

    "Let's go back, okay?" He glanced meaningfully at Cricket ( @TwinStorm), then pulled out his compass and took them back to the woods, not letting go of her.

    She frowned, then sighed. "I see."

    "Okay. Good. Let's go get food."

    He felt awful. "I'm sorry. She... she said I'm maybe going insane. But I'll be okay now. I'm sorry."

    His chest thudded, then ached dully. He started to cry too. He reached up to turn the transmitter back on. Tam, I'm so sorry. I... I don't know what happened, I promise I won't do that ever again...... He squeezed her, stepping further from the edge, and stroked her hair. I'm okay. I'm okay now. I'm sorry. I got carried away. Ruia appeared at her castle, arm and all. "Hello," she said. "You don't need to bother with my palace. I'll fix it again if I need to."
