    “Is that what that is? Don’t humans turn red when they get too much sun? Oh, gosh, we gotta get you some water!” She tugged him toward her pond, then realized they weren’t NEAR her pond. “Don’t touch me,” she whispered, clutching the blanket in both arms as she stood. He ran after her. “No fair!” - She nodded. He shrugged. “We’ll start down the tunnel and then decide. I’m thinking our city base.”

    He laughed and stood up to follow her. - As was Bat. She buried her face in her trembling hands and didn’t reply. Ria dug around in a closet and came up with a white fluffy blanket. Once Five noticed it, she took it hesitantly, then squeezed it. “Uh… we kinda hafta go,” Aden reminded them.

    She jumped away as soon as she felt the shock. It felt like it bounced around her body, amplifying. The lights were bright— the lights were so bright— She leaned against the wall and sobbed. Ria frowned, taking the device back. “There’s nothing wrong with it… trauma, I’d guess.”

    “Sure. I’ll have to show you how to work it, though,” she told starlight @_Null_. — He blinked back to reality, then grinned at her. She showed him where the button was and warned him about the dial. “Her left shoulder, right there.” Five didn’t sit— she hugged herself tightly and squeezed her eyes shut.

    She swallowed hard. “I don’t want to,” she whispered. ”You have to,” Aden told her. “I’m sorry, but if you don’t, they’ll find you again.” she squeezed her eyes shut and rubbed her arms. “Fine. Okay. Yeah… please do,” she said to Starlight.

    She shook her head hard. “I don’t want to.” “You can stand up if you prefer,” Ria offered, stepping toward her. Five flinched. “No, no, no, don’t touch me!” Ria paused. “Hey. Okay. I won’t touch you.” She gave Irie a pleading look. He took another small bite. Funny how something dry, something sour, and something sugary all tasted so good together. Funny, that… so many things were funny, really. - She shook her head hard.

    Ria held up her palms. “Fair enough.” He shrugged. “I like it.” - Five offered a tiny smile— or tried to. “Woah, nothings happening to you.” She pulled out a small device and shocked his shoulder without warning. “Sorry. It’s better to not know when it’s coming.” Five was pale, swaying on her feet.

    It was really, really good. He ate carefully, savoring it. He wasn't sure why, but he really didn't want to stop. "No, no, no," Five whispered. "They'll hurt you..." "We won't hurt him," Ria promised, sitting him down in the chair. She did some things with a mounted tablet thing, scanning. "It's in the upper arm. Left shoulder. Do you mind a tiny electric shock?" She asked Starlight. "Just to get rid of the tracker."

    She gave him a small, grateful smile. He squeezed it. - "Amazing." - She nodded and gestured to a padded chair. "Who's first?" Five drew back, staring at the chair.

    "Go away," Bat said firmly to @NameIess the Valiant dude, reaching for Tam's hand. GOOD GIRL :DD He started on his shortcake, nibbling. "Indeed." - Five took a deep, deep breath and followed, trembling.

    She clung harder to the bed, gulping down breaths of air. She didn't really have a choice. They'd drag her out anyway. And... he did understand, didn't he? "Don't touch me," she whispered, but slowly let go of the bed. "You--- I wasn't gonna make you bake one for me," he laughed. "Thank you." RANCH YAY - "I'll come," she said softly, and stood.

    "Thanks." He squeezed her tightly. "And I want strawberry shortcake." - She whimpered, clinging more tightly. "No. No, don't you SEE?"

    "Don't you see? This is how it all happens! This is how they get you, Starlight!" "Sure. But you have to be a rabbit if you're eating carrots, so I can cook and eat you. Oh, wait, not yet---" He reached over and hugged her tightly. - "DON"T TOUCH ME," She screamed, and began to sob desperately.

    She flinched away. "No. No! I'm not going back; I can't go back!" He followed. "I kinda want salad." - "Five," Aden was pleading, "We're trying to help you. Please, just get up. Nobody's taking you back." She clung to the leg of the bolted-down bed and didn't respond. "Irie, thank goodness." He gestured to Five.

    Hehehe class ranked my nonfiction narrative right under the teacher's and the teacher ranked it first out of the student work :D

    "No. You're not. I just---" The door opened, flinging light across the floor. Five pressed herself to the wall, terrified, as the light turned on. "They're coming," Aden said, sounding panicked. "We think they're tracking you some how. Come on--- Ria can get them out for you--- come on, we need to get you out of here!" Five was frozen. He turned red. "Am too," he muttered. - Ria blinked. "Gosh, okay. Uh... let me think."

    She took a shaky breath. "I guess so." Bat shrugged. "I could eat you and prove I'm scary." - He nodded. Ria was sorting medical things in the very room Aden had told her to meet him in. She looked up. "Irie! Is something wrong? Are they okay?"

    "Okay." Bat sighed. "Maybe I could give her new tattoos after if she wants." - "Go find her and brief her. I'll meet you with them in the first medical room, okay?" She sighed. "Yeah."

    Bat watched nervously. - "To examine Five and Starlight to see if she can get the trackers out. I've already sent to Lise about the people coming."

    She did not look trustful. With a deep breath, she popped it into her mouth, swallowed, and curled up on the bed. - "Irie! Were you even listening?" He sighed.

    Rose eyed it nervously. "You won't let me die...?" - He dropped his head into his hands and swore. "Go find Ria (the head medic expert) and see if you can figure out how to remove them. We'll have to distract the forces and take them down the tunnels." Ooooo bold

    My brain has two political parties 

    One of the parties is like "We should do useful things like schoolwork, that's a good idea and will make you happy in the long run" 

    The other party is like "Mmmmmmmmmm but nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

    The nation is currently very mmmmmm leaning

    "I don't care," she said when Bat told her. "Don't care." - "They're a mile out, headed right this way. Scud, it's like they know right where we are!" She half-smiled and shrugged. "I was... too focused on other things. What kind of work do you do? Aww hehe
