I DO, ACTUALLY. IM FLUENT.” “Hold me,” she demanded.

Her long dress streamed ash from the skirt. She began to walk what remained of the roof, around the hole and toward Tam. ”Good morning.” Bat sighed and looked at his hands. “…a lot of things.” Aden swerved, then swore rather badly.

She jumped onto his head. “I guess,” she squeaked. The man looked bewildered for a moment. Then his face twisted Ann instant before he burst into ash. Naughty, naughty, Ruia’s voice chided. Now are you coming up or not, dear? I don’t have all day to listen to you yap and try to stab me with that needle.

    Adens mine ABD Irie’s glass’ we kinda let it drop Bat sighed. Just be careful… - She began to pass statues of dark, polished stone. People, but nobody she knew. They were haphazard, frozen in the middle of daily activities. The receiving hall was circular, with steps leading upward that spiraled around the edges. The roof had fallen into disrepair, most of it in the form of ash drifting SND settling on the ground. The air chilled.

He would have followed her, but Entoturis wasn’t on his compass. - Tam arrived. Entoturis no longer looked glorious. Ash blew lazily in the wind around the dark palace, and as she watched, a swarm of nano bots moved to clean it up and merely disintegrated. The beautiful gardens were dark, trees streaked with shadow, leaves blooming black. The palace had half crumbled. Yeah, I’m proud of it

    OOOH YUMMY Five’s eyes were very wide. “Cool, huh?” Ria sounded very pleased with herself. “Wanna go find clothes, books, souvenirs, jewelry…” Heh. (No, it wouldn’t. The Plotblade doesn’t bring things back or anything— it reverts the state of a single thing. it would be able to uncorrupt something, assuming that thing has ever been in a state of incorruption. Rebus wouldn’t lose any memories, but his personality and character arc would tick back and he’d be the person he was before, just with his new memories and stuff. It’s weird. For example, if Shoe were to be reverted, he would probably become the person he was before telling Tam what happened and reconciling it with her. So he’d still feel guilty and even be weird around her, even though he knows he's told her already. Sweet

She got out and showed them the brilliant white open air building liked with shops, escalators, beautiful lights hanging from the glass ceiling, and a pretty geometric fountain in the middle. But we have money.” As they drove, Five found herself staring out Starlight’s window at the buildings and people and blurs of motion and shiny blinding rays of sunlight and and and her head was spinning. “We may as well all go,” Beosta said. I mean I wouldn’t be mad if tam went in alone cuz hey it’s like half the work for me

    “It reflects off the buildings. And it’s not shaded. And it’s no longer night.” Five was basically blind as well. She blinked, edged toward the doors, and then paused.

    She blushed a little. “Thank you.” The elevator dinged and Ria led them out into the lobby. Bat frowned and looked at his feet. Then he looked back up. “Maybe… maybe because she doesn’t want to be. Maybe she’s so scared of being vulnerable, she needs to feel powerful.”
