  1. She frowned. ”Didn’t, you mean? And that’s why you came to the castle and didn’t join up? Cuz you’re not a spy, right?” He was quite happy and gave her some sugared almonds.
  2. “And I could show you Leassie Lake! It’ll be fun. But first let’s go save Cricket frim a boring rich people party.”
  3. “Good?”
  4. He managed a small smile. Thank you. He let go of her. We could tour Moss’ university while we’re here, if you want. “Stay away from my daughter.”
  5. *reads all day and is somehow not sick*
  6. “Nope! It’s made of sugar!” She tilted her head. “Oh, no…”
  7. I think… if you’re okay with it, I’d like to stay for a couple of days. “She needed time to think,” he replied, eyes ahead. “And reflect on her future and expectations.”
  8. *holds* *reads book*
  9. She shrugged. “Boring. But it was home. Someday I’ll take it back from all the brain dead Sigmas!” He offered her a gummy worm.
  10. “Thanks,” he whispered, hugging her tightly. So what do you wanna do now?
  11. *re-squeezes* *turns Glass into stoat* *cuddles stoat*
  12. The kitten yelped. He smiled. “Here.” He handed her a tiny chocolate. “I lived in Ohio before the insanity struck. I escaped here.”
  13. He hugged himself. They shouldn’t matter to me, should they? “I dismissed her to bring some wine. She won’t be returning.”
  14. I edited btw her dad would be able to tell him where she is, if he wants to ask See you soon. The councilwoman was waiting. “N- never mind,” he whispered. “Of course. Go.” Bat stood, grabbed Tam, and escaped.
  15. The kitten was allergic to allergies and began to sneeze.
  16. Maybe wait… it’d look really weird if you just appeared… Rose curled up in the storehouse. It was better than being in the ballroom, she told herself. No matter how lonely or dark or cold it felt. It was better…
  17. She returned to her post. A kitten fell asleep on his face.
  18. She beamed. He sniffled and wiped his nose on his sleeve. “Really?” He asked, voice wrenchingly hopeful.
  19. She blinked, looking nervous. “But.. but flying is scary…” “All right. Which one?” Bat licked his lips and swallowed. “I… I have a report.” “Get on with it,” griped an older woman. “Gaioh— the soul— he… he’s dead. Rose is fine— I think she’s at her home again.” ”At least he did something right,” a man muttered to the woman. He wilted, gaze dropping to the table. He knew they didn’t expect him to hear— it had always been his curse, his hearing— but it was still somehow hard to ignore. “And your friend? Don’t tell me you’ve captured a Narrator, Whitlock.” Hw shook his head. “Th- this is Ava. She, uh… the Narrator kept threatening her too,” he lied. “She’s nice, and she’s… very good at making muffins…” “Knowing him, she is the Narrator.” Snickers. “If she wants to stay, she’ll need to get tattoos,” the woman said, sounding annoyed. “Now run along.” They didn’t care about his report, did they? His heart sunk. “I— I can move Nullite around,” he blurted desperately. The councilwoman raised an eyebrow, looking very annoyed. I have to give a report.
