  1. "Yup! Just lemme touch the fire!" Just another minute. He smiled at the fizzi again, and he jumped onto Bat's shoulder and smiled at Tam. They reached the lake, which was in a round chamber full of crystal. It glowed from the bottom with a purple light. Ledges grew from the walls outward ten feet above the water. The whole chamber glowed with the water's reflections. The fizzi stuck his tongue out at Tam. A shadow crossed her face. "Mmhmm."
  2. "I know it's a little nerdy. But how else am I supposed to keep them out of my brain when they scream up our walls every three hours?"
  3. They like stealing boots. Apparently. They were named a loooong time ago. During the first years we got here.
  4. He shrugged. "Bats. There's a species of wolf down here, called Bootdogs." He took her hand again and continued forward, careful to keep smiling so the fizzi wouldn't leave. They continued, running back the way they came.
  5. "This is my favorite dictionary."
  6. The fizzi crossed its eyes and had to lash its tail for balance. Distressed, they thundered toward the gap he'd had Eepy create.
  7. Bat grinned. It jumped on top of the node and stuck its tongue out at her as well. Its tail was almost as big as its body.
  8. Its nose twitched, and it mirrored the tilt. Oh, a fizzi! Yeah, they're pretty sweet. Glare at them and they run away, but smile and they warm up to you pretty quick. Her only response was a giggle.
  9. "Ohhhhh." She set aside her finished book and picked up another one.
  10. They're nodes of the mineral we use to make the lamps. It's just untreated. Lightite is my favorite name for it. A teensy creature with a foxy face, huge ears, and a long snout poked out from behind one of the larger nodes. Its head was only the size of her hand. The bison were confused and riled and bucked against him as much as possible. Eepy hung on. "EEEeeeEEEEeeeEEEeeeEEE!" It sounded like she was having fun.
  11. Very. Please don't think about it. After maybe ten minutes, they had to step way more carefully as more and more glowing blue crystals poked out of the floor and walls. There were also some veins of some shimmery, rainbowy material, as well as very occasional specks of Nullite. She reached her claws out and sucked the fire in.
  12. "So you wanted me to see your muscles?" She tilted her head.
  13. He beamed and looked at the ground, turning red. He led her to the end of the houses and the wall of the cavern, the opposite side from where they'd entered from the teleportation cavern, and down a cave.
  14. She folded her arms. "You put your pants on."
  15. Bat came soon after, shaking Fox off of him. He slammed the door. "Shall we?" In a flash of boldness, he offered her his hand.
  16. She smiled at it. "Aww... poor insecure Alex......"
  17. He giggled. "See you! By, Ava!!" - "Ria's daughter wasn't where we thought she was, remember? I'm guessing they blackmailed her into leaving Five and Starlight with them."
  18. She waved at it. She tilted her head. "How come you didn't put it on before? Aw, are you insecure?" She regarded him with pity.
  19. WHAT THE HECK I COULD SWEAR I SENT IT WHY DID IT VANISH "You're coming back?" He said hopefully, and then whispered, "You should give him a flower too and marry him and be my sister and stay forever!" Bat was fending off Fox at the moment. "Yup."
  20. "You need a shirt." She snickered.
  21. "Good." Irie was asleep in the passenger seat. @Through The Living Glass
  22. She read a thick, intellectual book.
  23. He blushed and put the hat on. Thanks. They walked out into the main room. Snow hugged her knees as soon as he saw her, abandoning his game he was playing with Fly with tiny little horses.
  24. Aw... I guess you have a point. He grabbed his bag off his desk, hesitated, and grabbed a stovepipe hat from the closet. Don't mock me. I've missed this hat.
