    The memory of kissing her rose in his mind as a bubble. He blushed deeply and ran his fingers through her hair. - "Please? It'll make it so much easier... and we don't want to split you guys up....." You know I can't do that T~T He woke up in a cozy wooden bedroom. A rug was placed helpfully on the floor to make the space feel warmer, despite the rather threadbare cot.

    He hugged her. “They’re missing out,” he murmured. - He sighed. “Please? It’s just a tiny pill, and you’ll wake up in an hour or two after we get you situated…” He was soon unconscious. Would you like some aid with that? @Kajsa

    “Still…” - “You realize this means little to no medical care for at least a couple hours until we can set something up,” he checked. The man dropped a pill into his hand.

    “Okay! Go to sleep!” She pointed at her nest. “Oh…” he whispered. He squeezed her. “I’m so sorry.” - He hesitated again, then sighed and banged three times on the truck wall. The truck began to move, making a u-turn. “If you don’t want the drug, we’ll leave you out here.”

    Bat’s too. He hugged her. - Twelve squirmed. “Look, I… the rules are clear… I… I have to leave you out here if you won’t……..” “I guess I can leave you out here in the wilderness.” “Food!” She chirped. “You want some worm pie?”

    “Sorry, kid,” he shrugged. Bat followed, feeling accomplished. - He sighed. “Look, I… I’m really sorry, but they try and send spies all the time, and we have to be super, super careful… It’ll be super fast?” “They probably went on vacation,” she said happily, then dug through the cupboards.

    "Yep! Cuz we're birds!" She stepped inside the hollow of the tree, then frowned outside. "I wonder where everyone else is..." "Yeah," Bat agreed. "Do'nt do bad things, okay?" - After a while, it stopped and someone banged on the back of the truck. Twelve sighed. "I'm gonna have to knock you out..." She didn't wake up. "We're almost there," the man told him. "I'll have to knock you out."

    She looked at him curiously. "Of course!" "No. She does." - He nodded and turned back to whatever he was doing.

    She nodded sadly, then stopped in front of a huge tree with stairs wrapping around it up to the hollow tree. "Here we are!" The fire could be seen through the forest. The man watched over him. Five looked awful. She had tiny bandages all over her face and arms, and her face was drained of color. "Magic. Yeah." - "Twelve," he said more slowly. "My name is Twelve."

    Okie The man jumped up. "Woah! woah, no, lay down, lay down!" "Huh? Oh, it's been burning for a long time..." "Narration." - "My implant," he said sadly. "I... I'm one of the lucky ones. My name is Twelve."
