  1. "Nothing," he said a little too quickly. what does she look like again She grabbed a bottle from a cupboard and poured what looked like a fine metal powder into a glass of water. "Drink." Five clung to him. "Are you sure?" It squawked, shielding its babies with its huge wings. The grate was indeed there. It was square and had a handle.
  2. Dang... I'm really sorry. I hate how life makes everything seem more important than anything else but we have to juggle three or four at least *hugs*
  3. The roc squawked, jumping to shield her baby rocs. She hissed at him. "Your voice is malfunctioning because the films were knocked loose in the explosion," she informed him. "I can fix those, if you don't mind some nanobots." If I ever complain, know it's just for the sake of complaining ...see, I have character flaws s He hesitated. "...okay." - She eyed the reflection distrustfully, then examined the mirrors. - Symbol's cheeks turned red with shame and embarrassment, and she turned away. Lady Bug scowled. "She was an experiment, nothing more. I don't understand how she became... this." Symbol turned back, interest renewed. "Became what?" "Independent. Humanlike. Annoying." Symbol blushed again, but the hint of a smile could be seen on her lips before she turned away again. "You're welcome." He felt his hand twitch toward hers, then frowned.
  4. “But do you feel a little better?” He asked hopefully. She stood up too. Twelve led them to another room with a dark-haired woman. The roc continued to feed its young, unaware.
  5. “See, fair game.” Twelve came over. “Got a message from her. She said she’s ready for you.” The grate’s on top of the cliff above where the roc currently is, jsyk
  6. “Love you,” she whispered. “Oh, for sure. But I’m sure he’ll forgive you. He doesn’t seem beat up that bad.” “No, she didn’t. Aren’t you a warrior or hero or something?”
  7. “Well, it’s funny.” She yawned. “Well enough. She hired me.”
  8. He tried to hold back a smile. “Would it be bad to find that funny?” “Later.” She hugged him.
  9. HAPPY BDAY

     COME BACK

  10. “Just tell me.” “So you just…” he paused, then grinned. “So it was like me, but worse?”
  11. “What’d he do?” It was ok. He was out of earshot. Five looked up at him, bewildered. “What’s wrong?” She whispered.
  12. Yea its very logical so there
  13. She grabbed his hand. He narrowed his eyes at Twelve, who was checking to make sure all the cupboards were stocked. “Do I need to punch him?”

  16. He stared at his hands. “Why not?” He demanded. - “Shut up,” she snapped, and promptly chose the Cricket mirror. - “How could you?” Lady Bug laughed. “You don’t understand her like I do. I created her. She’s nothing, Rebus. A black hole. She’ll suck you up if you let her.” ”Not anymore.” Symbol picked the monocle out of the air, running her finger along the edge. “You created me to change, to discover. That is my purpose. In your absence, I have done so.” She frowned slightly. “Or… I must have, in some way. The drive is fading.” ”Spoutspeaker,” Lady Bug scoffed. “It’s not like you’d know any better. We may have similar descent, similar mannerisms—“ Lady Bug started forward, making Symbol twitch, but stopped herself. ”You’re an EMPTY SHELL! You don’t have my mannerisms! I left you alone and you turned into a MONSTER.” ”No, actually.” Her jaw clenched, though she maintained some composure. “You left me with a drive to become and a terrible answer. A flawed answer that caused me to develop into a monster.” Lady Bug opened and closed her mouth. “No,” she said finally. “Whatever happened to you wasn’t my fault.” Five shifted and hugged him. “Okay,” she whispered, and let go of him.
  17. NO, ME. I WILL BE A COOKIE.

  19. “I coulda told her.” ”You didn’t.” Aden shrugged. “How are you doing, Irie? You look… alive, which is good.”
  20. He came back soon. Aden smiled at her, relieved to see she was okay, and sat down on a couch nearby. “Careful. He’s got a concussion,” Twelve warned.
