Bird Furious

I got to feel beautiful today. 

So there’s a church prom, and I’m going even though I wasn’t asked. Another one of my friends is going alone and she told me about this place on base (we’re military) where you can borrow formal dresses and jewelry and shoes and other stuff. 

Well, our appointment got canceled. 

So we went thrifting and bought a dress that wasn’t perfect, but I still look good in. 

THEN we go to Ross. We find a beautiful blue dress that’s comfortable, modest, and looks good on me and flatters my figure and all that. 

We part with twenty bucks and buy some shoes, a gold belt, and a gold butterfly clip too. 

I have an eight-year-old sister. I get home and I put on the dress because duh I wanna put it on again and show off because it makes me happy! I put on my shoes and my belt and my clip, much to the excitement of said sister. She says I look so pretty, and I agree, and I’m really excited because I don’t often look pretty. So I go upstairs to take some photos and grab some jewelry from my drawers to sort through and maybe add. I go back downstairs and, despite having seen me in the exact same outfit before, my sister stared at me with her mouth open and comes to hug me. “You’re so pretty!”
