Hoid is like a gajjillion years old and Jasnah is aroace (or at the very least ace) so… It could never really happen. They do have a great dynamic but their ship becoming cannon presently is very nearly impossible. I wish we did get more scenes with the two of them interacting though, they have a great dynamic. It’s called The Diagram and if you saw all that scheming in the YKYASW thread then you don’t have to read this short summary. If not, go ahead… if you dare!! sooooooo, previously mentioned brother doesn’t like reading buuuut he does like to consume the stories via me reading to him. At the moment I am reading Percy Jackson to him and he “will not under any circumstances” start Alcatraz until I finish reading that to him. Once I do finish he has promised to read (or have me read to him) the Alcatraz series, However as anyone who has read those books can tell you it is better to read them physically as some jokes are only on the paper or you physically need the book to understand (spelling jokes, the last page thing, the visual gags with words, the way things are printed, digs at previous cover inaccuracies etc.) Because of this I need to figure out a way to get him to physically read it. My plan is an audiobook read along. He doesn’t usually like audiobooks but I think I can convince him (I have my ways) Once he has consumed that and now loves books and Sanderson (I have backups if this doesn’t work) I will move him on to other things, namely The Emperors Soul. It is a great show of Sanderson’s skills while also being fairly short and not too hard to ingest. My plan continues with lending him mistborn before the final blow, revealing the Cosmere. I really hope it works!!!!

That would be awesome!!! We’d have all the best food! People could bring a recipe from their culture and families and we could have a huge international potluck while talking about Sanderson! Robin could bring Chinese stuff, Telrao and I would bring some Aussie delacacies, Doomie and all the Texans would probably bring brisket and cornbread or something, Cellit would bring some awesome Spanish stuff and alll the Americans would bring things from all over!!!! can you tell I’m hungry?

I don’t think that is particularly fair, just because some jokes fell flat. He certainly has some great parts that have had me roaring with laughter. Humour is subjective though and if you feel that way then your opinion is valid. I just don’t agree.

Actually not particularly. It was spontaneous and strange but there were certainly much better jokes.
