  1. I am pretty certain that Delinar is quite save for now, sanderson has stated in several interviews that the character of delinar has been with hin for many many years and he is very fond of it. As to others I simply hope that Syl gets more time to be a little devious and sarcastic^^ and if kaladin actually finds a beloved syl should give her hell this would be soooo much fun.
  2. Again I am sorry I know about carrying those bridges but try pushing a matchstick over a hole with sides that are different heights. Plateau-heights!!! sorry about the confusion
  3. Oh sorry this was not what I had in mind with different heights, I ment between the plateaus. As to the other parts, the pushing over is easy and clear but I imaging the retracting like trying to drag a log of firewood across an open barrel with your fingertips, The resistance is just too great.
  4. I have have no selfrestraint of any sort I just finished my 5th time through the book and it has only gotten worse after I picked up the audiobook (though don't really care that much for the female speaker). Some scenes just get me everytime and I never stop beeing amazed how carefully planed and outlined Sandersons books are (eg. Mistborn. So what I am saying if I am saing anything at all "thank you Sanderson I'll never have a social life again :lol:/> "
  5. Hi there this is my first post and besides I am from Germany so bear with me here. :)/> My question is this: "how are the bridges designed". This might seem like an easy question but I didn't yet find an easy answere to it. Sure there are plenty of describtions in the book but the concept is seriously lacking in detail, eg.: - The construction underneith which is used to push the bridge over how is it retracted? - How do you adjust for different hights? - what do you do whenst you are on the other side? the only solution I see is that the construct underneith must be symetrical to each side so you can do the same thing retracting as pushing over. I am sorry if this post is confusingly written but I would greatly apprechiate any input as to the actual (or possible) design of the bridgecrews bridges.
