  1. So, according to @InfiniteInsanity, all of my status updates are identity crises. So, instead, I will attempt to do something that is ummmm... not that. That might be a little difficult since my generally happy mood today is somewhat fragile.

Has anyone else here ever gotten this specific feeling?

I can't really describe it. There is the feeling of a great adventure. Of exploration and worlds unexplored. The feeling that you get listening to the soundtrack of The Lord of The Rings, or the feeling that you get while reading those books. That feeling of endless adventure you get from the end of The Chronicles of Narnia.

The feeling when you long for magic to be real. The yearning of your heart for superpowers or dragons. The stretching of your being for the want of it. It hurts so much. You want it so badly. At the same time it's wonderful anyway.

The feeling that you get in those moments where it feels like your life makes sense.

That feeling when you play your soul out on an instrument. When the fabric of you becomes one with the bow, the tone, and the phrases. You can hear yourself in the notes. Your sorrows, pains, wants, loves, experiences, regrets, and fears are all within the vibrations in the air carved by the beautiful table you sit at and the knife in your hands. Sliding, slashing, flying over the strings with everything that you are. And then the final note rings.

This... this is so true! I've felt this before - the feeling that your could open your door and find a wide grassy field, or an ancient forest, or a castle full of mysteries. The feeling you could run and explore, and never grow tired. That feeling of infinite joy, curiosity and delight.

It's a bittersweet feeling when it fades, but then again:

All you have to do is open another book.
