Hey, @Robin Sedai beat me to it; I was about to do the same! Thanks for the follow, Luckspren!

So I wrote a poem called "The Brink of Consciousness" about the time at night when it's just your thoughts and you, which I think some people sometimes have a hard time with (I know I have). It's a bunch of haiku stanzas meshed together to make one bigger poem. Feedback is welcome
SpoilerI ponder alone
At the brink of consciousness
Embracing the night
I contemplate life
Considering sanity
Rough reality
I think about words
Words are colors, warm and cool
Painted on voices
I listen to sound
Bizarre and mysterious
Elegant yet coarse
But grim thoughts invade
Snarling at my weaknesses
Surrounding my mind
I’m caught off balance
Distracted by disorder
Sorrow, gloom and woe
I’m trapped in myself
Memories echo inside
It’s overwhelming
I clutch onto hope
Wrenching myself towards the light
It’s warm and pleasant
I remember smiles
My friends laughing together
Jovial and free
My family’s love
Unconditional support
Helps heal the broken
I realize the truth
Life is either joy or gloom
We decide which one
Tomorrow is hope
It’s the sun rising once more
Bringing a new dawn
As my breath rises
And falls with every puff
I lie silently
Waiting for the night
To take me upon its wings
Out of consciousness
