Huh, what a weird meta. I'd want to kill the most aggro people who might actually solve stuff, and then villagers WIFOM what it means, but perhaps that's just me.

I'm insanely busy with RL and I haven't gotten an hour to myself to parse the game yet which is super disappointing I'm just generally having trouble following the arc of the game/keep track of all the players in such a large game and I dont know how to process day 1 given the amount of posting/RP/meta I don't get built in. Classic newbie things even though I've played this game lots, y'all just have a different style here. Just starting on day 2, I tend to rely on posts to read people that just feel off because I've found this far and away more successful than building conspiracy theories in terms of accuracy. As it stands, Illwei reads like that to me but I'm pretty sure they always do (they're one of the people I've played with a few times). I also find Turtle's tone off (ex That and some other posts read as nervous to me. It's a tonal read so hard to explain but it seems the most off of anyone today. Also, question for @The Bookwyrm What was unexpected about Kas dying? Admittedly I have not read much of Day 1 (just tried to skim to keep up while on vacation) but he seemed to be doing the work of a small army in terms of solving.

Shadowblob the mistwraith pops her head up from digesting the tasty new assemblage of limbs and flesh that just arrived in the thread (thank you Ashbringer for your sacrifice). Mistwraiths aren't supposed to be smart. They're not supposed to be particularly sentient. It's not like Shadowblob is a kandra. She's just a mistwraith. But all the same... well, why IS this delicious corpse here? Who exactly executed the poor (delicious) fella, and why? Shadowblob realizes she can read, but she's also busy eating body parts and other things and doesn't particularly have the stamina for it. But also, like.... anyone want to provide a recap? You don't have to, I could figure it out, but it might help a lot of us barely sentient mistwraiths understand what is going on.

Hey everyone, nice to be playing with a bunch of you again (and happy to meet those of you I haven't played with)! I'm spontaneously visiting a long lost friend this weekend so I won't be doing much of anything for this day 1. I'll get into the game day 2 onwards. I'm a villager if yall are trying to solve and that's helpful to know.

You could design the game to have multiple evils instead (like one serial killer, one maf, one arsonist or something) and then no one knows each other's factions. A group of Elims not knowing their teammates also isn't broken, it is just a mechanic you have to play around. Or, don't resurrect an Elim at all - it could just resurrect the villagers? I'd think to just design the rest of the game around it. It is a tricky role but it just needs to fit with the other mechanics to work! Do you have a whole setup for where you'd use this role yet?

Oof, this might be the first time I've been the victim of a sweep Excellent play by the town! What can you say when someone just beats you through genuine good play and hard work? Y'all deserve it. I really enjoyed playing with you all, this is a very nice community!

Awwww, aman <3 Probably the right call to just be removed from the game. Rest assured I do not hold anything against you from this and I'm glad you don't have to deal with another stress now. Sorry if the cases on you seemed to come out of nowhere - in retrospect we probably shouldn't have sprung that on you all at once. You just seemed like such a strong player that we felt like we had to have all the cases prepared, but I think that might have caused you to feel disconnected with the level of suspicion you suddenly faced. As for who should be the chop, I still think Striker. I think the reasoning for the striker case is well established on the board. I could add more but there isn't much time. I don't really have much of a read on TJ aside from having seen him reasoning in our doc, which looked fairly natural. Don't really share the suspicion there and I also don't think there is necessarily scum in Arelene at all. Regarding the votes on me - I do see why yall are paranoid of me and I expect to be arbitrarily yeeted at some point anyways I will not hold hard feelings if I'm the chop even though I think it is a rather silly vote, I understand it is a game. And my hope is that by thinning the heard a little, the village will have more to work with and hopefully become more functional in coming days. Though we were off to a great start so I know we can spare a few if y'all want me to go

I do agree self voting runs against the grain, though I do see why people are frustrated with this games state because once someone is trying to guilt others for voting them, it is hard to continue to engage. Which is I think why kas is self voting. Don't really know about the others.

Aman... how are we supposed to play the game if you are going to be like this when people want to eliminate you? We gotta be able to try to solve! I don't doubt you're annoyed by this push as either faction. But I was hoping you'd want to actually discuss it, not just give up.

Amaneunsis For crimes against Sel! Arelene has talked this over extensively and I support the kill today. I would add a few of my own reasons: Aman's interactions with striker are suspicious. I can't pry apart the 'twtbw' read from what should be a wolf read. And I don't usually find it hard to follow aman's reasoning. Aman's style of questioning here is consistent with a very insultive style for scum play. Asking people hypothetical questions and then quietly judging them on the answers is not transparent. I know it's a good scumstyle because I used to play like this to hide as scum, and Aman and I seem to have very similar playstyles so I don't think I'm projecting a lot to extend that inference. This is also different from the style I observed from them last game. Paranoia - aman's great at this and is not going to be easy to catch or slip up incredibly obviously, so I have higher standards. I also haven't really trusted aman this game on tone (especially recently) which is not really what I would expect if we were v/v. I don't have time to make a megapost-case like my empire friends due to having to write my final papers but I am glad to engage here. I also support striker kill today, either/both in my view. I don't want either making it to the end of the game alive.

Also aman, can you explain your 'twtbw' read on striker? What in your mind moves someone from being a wolf to being twtbw? I don't think I "see or feel something" that you're failing to, I think the reasons to be suspicious of striker are fairly straightforward - he has made three suspicious votes this game. This is one that I flagged yesterday that looks even worse today: And then his moves at end of day seem purely opportunistic. It's hard to know exactly what his motives are without having everyone's flips, but twice in a row trying to slip in a hammer and on day 1, when he hadn't been engaged in the thread discussion, is just bad for the town. These aren't small tonal things, his votes are fundamentally problematic. And I disagree that his tone has been otherwise vindicating in any way.

This is my biggest regret too XD I could have figured out a way to get more, it was just, striker was the one I really wanted and I couldn't force it. Well we could make a bunch of flips for tomorrow, I volunteer myself as tribute as long as a bunch of us go down together!! EDIT: Aman I fear we bring out the arsonist in one another XD

I've been saying that low effort solving works best! Good call there, I wouldn't have thought to do that myself! This is why we have a whole village As for why I didn't switch, well I didn't feel that strongly about it and honestly I was thinking more about who was getting killed from a thread perspective and how I felt about it than who I was voting for myself, like what would that really have helped for me to change my vote? Also can we stop saying striker is 'too wolf to be wolf' and just freaking kill him? This is really starting to annoy me, if he is wolf and survives to end I will be pretty pissed. Kill the people who are doing scummy things, it's quite straightforward. And I really appreciate the baker going all out with the cake, my slice was delicious! Re-enforces my townread there - would scum spend 5 hours baking a celebratory cake if their teammate died? I don't think so.

But this was so symmetrically chaotic I don't think illwei's a terrible vote today and I don't think their play is good, they just don't have any less weird of play imo than what I've seen from them as town. But probably an elimination we're going to need at some point anyways since I don't know how to read them that well

This makes me think you're just trying to take down a lot of villagers with you But I'm actually not against this. Especially Illwei I don't really know how I'm going to read so I feel she's gonna have to be eliminated eventually, Devo is meh to me and Mat is sliiiightly town but more just from me agreeing with them on some things which is a poor reason for a read. So not against this spread actually and it does effectively resolve paranoia issues lol
