When you see the word "investiture" in one of the Song of Ice and Fire books and just subconciously assume that you are reading a Cosmere book, so you start trying to find Hoid, and then you get very dissapointed when you come back to the real world and remember that R'hllor is not a shard.

I'm pretty good at french but I learned in Canada so I learned french from Quebec which has a different accent and different slang and now I'm going to France for nine weeks starting in January and I need to get like, 200% better at french ASAP.

That honestly sounds really cool, and then people of the fifth heightening would eat their poisonous food in front of everyone and brag about how good it tastes, and then ask if you wanted a bit and you'd be like "you suck". I can't think of any poisonous things off the top of my head but there's probably lots. Or not. I don't really know anything about poison.

Just wanted to say that from the minute we met Shan I weirdly imagined her as Amanda Abbington when she played Mary in Sherlock and even though they don't look the same really nothing can change my mind.

I love drawing fictional maps! My most recent one is of the "Elven Highlands" Where there are five clans of elves, and then then separating them from mortals is this huge forest. I'll attach it in the morning when i have times

I always get my ideas from going places, like not traveling but just walking around. Then you look at something and you go "You know what would be cool? Is if X happened here." And then you think of the reasons why X would happen and who it would happen etc.

Just wanted to say that i really like the idea of a relaxing playlist. if I go to a quiet place and play some instrumental music I feel a lot more ready to work and less distracted. Also unrelated but when i saw the words "Elf needs help" I was like oh cool that rhymes. (it doesn't.)

Hi my name is the Sibling, I have read everything cosmere, I play the saxaphone and the guitar, I love writing fantasy, I love baking, I watch way to much Queer Eye, and I do aerial silks and unicycling. Basically that's me. And also I need a profile picture. Based on my username, the facts above, or just based on nothing, what do you think my profile picture should be? This is not a poll because I'm not trying to decide between a few options, I am basically just stuck on what to put so this is for any inspiration.

Sort of. I like her because she's cool but it bugs me so much when she says she's not a scholar, but I literally cry when I read about Gavilar because so mean to her. Also like come on. She actually just imprisons sprens and then calls people/spren weird when they are like, wait, this is not ok.

That's so cool that you got your friend to read it by just quoting Kaladin all the time. Someday I hope my brother will read Stormlight, probably because he is curious as to why I keep saying that irony tastes like sausage. I just got my mom to read WoK. I'm so exited. My neighbor told my dad t read it and he said it was good but not really his style. Then I read it and immediately became obsessed. I recently got my brother to read the Emporer's soul, and I keep pushing MIstborn and Elantris on him. Now my mom is getting into The Stormlight Archive, and basically yay.

Knowledgeably omniscient winners

Kaladin and Szeth are on their way to Shinovar but then they hear a bunch of stuff about a gemstone hidden in an ancient temple, so basically they go back to Urithiru and tell Dalinar. Dalinar is like "NO! We have to focus on the contest of champions, and then afterwards we can go hunting for storming Ba-Ado-Mishram" And then Kaladin is like "Crem." So they go to Shallan, who agrees to help them find the gemstone. But Radiant doesn't want to disobey Dalinar, so Shallan and Radiant fight the whole way there. Mostly because there are only two of them so they cannot vote anymore. Meanwhile Adolin is pissed that he got left behind so he goes back to Shadesmar to get a spren and prove himself to his father. Mayalaran swears the first ideal and Adolin becomes a spren. Maya gets pulled into the physical realm, which is fascinatingly horrifying, at least according to the Stormfather. Meanwhile, Shallan, Kaladin, and Szeth arrive at this freaky underground temple and they have many hangups and bangups and shenanigans as they explore it, finally stumbling upon a freaky maroon gemstone. They break it, but instead of finding Ba-Ado-Mishram, they find a shard called Inspiration. Inspiration was the least influenced by their intent, and therefore the most powerful. Inspiration was bound to a human body, and their power was severely limited. Also by the way, Inspiration has a Hawkeye style mowhawk and wears a purple and black leather trenchcoat. Adonalsium knows how he found leather on Roshar, but anyways... Even after being bound to a human body, Inspiration was actively worldhopping and messing everything up by accident due to their extreme power. So they were locked in a gemstone by Cultivation, who is actuallt their ex. Inspiration quickly figures out the whole Taravangian/Odium incident. The temple explorers travel back to Urithiru with Inspiration and they prepare for the contest of champions, in which Dalinar is forced to fight Lift but instead they declare a truce and both of them just chill on the roof of Urithiru, while Wit and Inspiration conspire against Odium, and Inspiration falls deeply in love with Wit and Jasnah becomes a total thrid wheel. Anyways, in the end Syl swears up to the second ideal, Kaladin becomes a half spren, Cultivations frees Inspiration from their body, and Inspiration splinters Odium.
