    I believe it's a fancy term for friends on the Shard. I don't see the point myself (all of you are my Shardbuddies ) You ask people to be your Shardbuddy, and if they say yes you add them to a list I guess? Edit: ninja'd again :P. Nope, mine is far superior. Ever eaten blue cheese?

    I didn't even know there were sample chapters lol. I won't be reading them, as it would just leave me wanting more, and already knowing what happens in the first few chapters might detract from my enjoyment of the whole book.
