Alder step right up to thr spreading fire and grabs a nearby stick and waves it in front of him. The shades recoil from the fire. "Uh no? It's the only thing keeping me alive?"

The bird's entire body vibrates to the beat. Nice tunes Music man!!

Alder approaches the river, having covered much of the forest with paths of dead leaves and twigs. He grabs one live plant and chucks into the pile wherr it explodes, while laughing maniacally. Then he RUNS.

He collects some dead branches, leaves and kindling and starts to make trails of sticks and dry leaves to several bushes all across the forest.

Why wouldn't you? You don't push on the wall; you push on the coin. The coin "wants" to keep moving foward and if it can't, due to a wall or other large object, the force will go somewhere and push the allomancer back. Think about a push like a spring, you push down and get the same force back, but only if it hits something and can't go there. The force doesn't change, the resistance to the force does. it's normal force.
