  1. Ivisyre was lounging in the black throne in this black castle. It hadn’t changed much, but through the stained glass windows along the sides of the chamber, one could see the surface of the world. It was a hellscape, with flowing lava running through massive fissures in the now ashen crystalline mountains. “Hello, Rebus,” Ivisyre said blandly. “I apologize for not meeting you at your desired place, but… I honestly cannot be assed to get out of this chair!” They laughed a high pitched, borderline maniacal laugh. “So! What brings you to my wonderful new domain?” They asked, summoning Inversion. They spun it in their hands idly. “Before you waste any breath, I don’t have the Lost Pages anymore. Malevolence relocated the vault…” They tilted their head. “As I’m sure you’re aware.”
  2. Nothing happened at first, but after a couple moments, Rebus found he could sense Sequence’s World. Or, what’s left of it. He had access, and would find himself in the black castle deep in the mountains if he transported himself there.
  3. Aelinor nodded her agreement, fixing Rebus with a hard stare as she dismissed Conflict, confirming the bond to the plotblade. "Why don't you go have a chat with Ivisyre?" Aelinor asked rather sourly. "I'm sure you'll find them to be incredibly accommodating." Unintelligible found that Sequence's body was lighter than expected, as if she were... hollow. Aelinor stepped closer to Unintelligible, subtly keeping herself between him and Rebus. "We could ask Ryver if there's somewhere on his world where we can... leave her," Aelinor said to Unintelligible, her tone softer. "Until we find where to bury her."
  4. Aelinor pursed her lips, recalling her last few moments on Sequence’s World. The chaos, the destruction, the earthquakes… “… Maybe we shouldn’t count on being able to move her. Even if her planet will one day be safe again, it won’t be the same.” She got to her feet slowly, cradling Conflict in her ruined hands. It was difficult, but she managed to hold it long enough to dismiss it quietly. When it vanished, she found herself looking down at Sequence. She immediately shuddered and turned away, desperately avoiding looking… ”Just somewhere peaceful…” She said with a swallow and a shaky sigh. “Will have to do, I think.”
  5. Aelinor had barely moved since kneeling down, staring off into space with a very hollow look. She barely reacted when Rebus appeared, and even less when Unintelligible addressed her. When she finally spoke, her voice was quiet and level, purposefully devoid of emotion. "She..." she started slowly. "Would have wanted... To be buried beside Fuzzy. And Cardinal. On her world, by the lake." She kept her eyes fixed forward, unblinking. "I don't know about a second choice. Nowhere else is special to her quite like... there." Slowly, avoiding looking at Sequence, Aelinor reached down and picked up Conflict where it sat on the ground beside Sequence. She spared a glance towards Rebus. "... I'll help you find somewhere."
  6. Rebus’s Thread and Author awareness is so unsettling… it feels like he’s looking right at me, on the other side of the screen
  7. Sequence was Aelinor’s mother too, so maybe Aelinor will be a protective big sister
  8. I actually feel really bad about Atlas… Poor baby, can’t get a break on this cruel Thread. I’ll send Aelinor to comfort her at some point…
  9. I feel like plots been going pretty strong for the last like 2,000 pages! Hasn’t it??
  10. "I..." She gripped Unintelligible's hand tightly, desperately, as she glanced back down at her wound. The scar tissue was gray and mottled with black. Destroy... Destroy... Destroy... Sequence sucked in a sharp breath through clenched teeth, clenching her eyes shut. "Oh... I..." She opened her eyes again to look over at the Great Wizard, struggling to focus on him. Destroy... Destroy... Destroy... Her face went a little pale, and she turned back to Unintelligible. Her eyes were... sad. "You..." she started, her voice strained and slow. "Are the... bravest... most noble... p.. person... I have ever known..." DESTROY! DESTROY! DESTROY! Sequence winced, clenching her eyes tightly again as she held out her left hand to the side. Conflict appeared in it. She knew what she had to do. "I... hope... one day... I'll find my way back... to you." Tears began to well in her eyes as Conflict took the form of a staff with a brilliantly glowing lantern on top. Sequence hissed softly as the light bathed her face. Struggling a bit, she lifted up the staff above her. As the light filled her eyes, one could see something... dark. Her eyes never left Unintelligible's face. "I... love you," she whispered. With a high-pitched whine, the lantern flared with temporarily blinding white light. As it faded, Conflict thudded against the floor beside Sequence. Her eyes burned in their sockets, black mist frantically trying to escape her body before being vaporized by Conflict's remaining light. There were still tears on her dull, lightless cheeks.
  11. Sorry for vanishing like that!! Sequence shuddered, her hand slowly floating to her side. She winced softly, and her eyes fluttered open. They were bloodshot and confused as she glanced between Unintelligible and Aelinor. Aelinor gasped, putting a hand over her mouth as she knelt beside Sequence. "Un... Unin..." Sequence choked on her words, groaning softly as she reached out a hand to Unintelligible. Suddenly, she faltered, her eyes widening and darting down to the wound at her side. It was stitching itself up, almost instantly. Sequence hissed and gritted her teeth against the nearly blinding pain, but it subsided quickly. Chest heaving, she reached for Unintelligible again. "You... you... found..."
  12. Willow made a soft buzzing sound, but did not respond. Aelinor looked down at her hands with a frown, nodding gently at the Dreamsmith's words. Sequence... Did not move. She was deathly still, her skin dull and gray. Aelinor leaned closer, frowning as she scanned Sequence's face. The darkness tinged with crimson that surrounded her wound was now gone, but a different kind of darkness remained. Some of kind that had coated the hands of the Great Wizard, and then Ivisyre's essence, had remained. Clung to her flesh, as if resisting being pulled away from something familiar... And then Sequence moved. She grimaced, her face twisting up in discomfort and one of her hands drifting towards her side. Aelinor's eyes widened, and she nudged Unintelligible's arm. "Set her down..." She murmured, seeming rather stunned and in disbelief. To the two people who liked this post…
  13. Aelinor was fuming, pacing back and forth and muttering to herself. She jumped in alarm when the Dreamsmith's apparition appeared, reaching once again for a non-existent sword at her hip. She looked between Unintelligible and the Dreamsmith, taking a step forward and opening her mouth. She stopped herself. All it once, it struck her that... These people were much older than she. Unintelligible had known Sequence thousands of pages, and Aelinor was barely a thousand pages old herself. She wrapped her arms around herself, stepping back and looking at her feet. Best to stay out until she was needed. Willow, however, immediately floated forward with an alarmed red glow. "What is this?" It asked, spinning end over end stationary in the air. "Who is this? Pardon me for not being particularly inclined to trust strange holograms whom appear from strange creatures lurking in strange doors." Aelinor cringed.
  14. I DON’T KNOW!!!!!!! I’m leaning towards no, but I want the story to be intriguing too!!!
  15. “Correct. Her power was able to keep her alive.” Willow made a soft buzzing sound. “Though now that it is gone, I can’t help but feel… not very optimistic about her fate. What makes you so certain she will survive?” Whether I want her to survive or not is such a dilemma On one hand, I started this story line and personally did everything that led up to this and I feel like making her miraculously survive would be boring, but on the other, I love this character that I’ve spent 2,800 pages playing and don’t want to replace her!
  16. hm………… gosh, i feel too old for this i don’t know enough about all you youngins
  17. “That there is Ookla the Unintelligible. He’s as old as Sequence, and I think right about when they both appeared, Unintelligible went on a quest. Sequence helped, sort of. She was quite useless back then. It cemented Unintelligible as a great adventurer, and he has gone on many quests since, including attempts to save Sequence. He died doing that once. They’ve been good friends for a long, long while.” Willow hummed softly before continuing. ”Sequence’s wound was sustained about a thousand pages ago when she got into a duel with somebody who used to be her friend. Ivisyre was their name, and they’ve always been… tricky. Sequence won the duel, but was gravely injured by Ivisyre’s dark power. Her power as a Narrator was able to keep the darkness from spreading, but now that her mantle has been taken… It’s unsure whether there even is a cure. Unintelligible spent more than a thousand pages searching, and the location of this shadowy figure was all he could find. Perhaps Ivisyre themself could cure it, but they are not likely to cooperate.”
