  5. Guys...

You know that one ancient artifact that bestows its whatever to whoever beats the previous owner?

No, not the elder wand. I mean the Darksaber.

Ahsoka is the rightful ruler of Mandalore and here's why. (Then again, there are a load of other candidates)

I dunno, but I feel like Matpat rn.

    Alright, here's how.

Intense Clone Wars and other Star Wars content spoilers, btw.

So, Maul had the right as ruler of mandalore, right? All that since he had the dark saber.

Well, remember when Ahsoka beat him up to crap in CW?

Ahsoka should have the dark saber.

If that don't count, for some reason, we could also say that Obi-wan was the ruler of mandalore by destroying maul in rebels. Then, Darth Vader is the new ruler of mandalor. But wait, I'm not done.

Palpatine killed Vader in Return of the Jedi? Riiiight? So Palpatine was ruler briefly. Then Vader threw him down a shaft and killed Old Palps. So, Vader was the last ruler of Mandalore if we don't accept Ahsoka's claim.

Or, if we accept the sequel trilogy, Rey's the ruler of Mandalore. But I don't accept that crap.

So, therefore, Ahsoka the show is gonna be about Ahsoka being beat by Thrawn and Thrawn claiming right as ruler of mandalore. THEN in Mandalorian season four Mando and Bo Katan just come at Thrawn, but Thrawn gets the dark saber and just takes all the mandos in glorious revolution.

I... I think I've just exhausted my Star Wars theory idea bin for now...

I was wondering about that. But he wasn't weilding the dark saber at the time. So who knows.

      ... I see, I see...

I can't believe something like this would be overlooked by the team at Disney, but if it was intentional that would feel like, kind of dumb? What you're saying makes total sense, don't get me wrong, but Disney implementing this seems kind of pointless, especially with all the drama that's occurred over the Darksaber in the Mandalorian.

Like, it would kinda suck if that was all for nothing, y'know?

      True, sequence, very true.

Then again, that's never stopped Disney before...

  6. Mercenaries, Friends, Allies, other miscellaneous folks, I have returned... I am a mercenary once again. *offers many many many cookies*

Lines like these that I write remind me why I love writing. The power we hold in our fingertips, in our minds, to be able to make words reality, to impact people... I have not been good about writing lately. Or, in a way, I have been and I haven't. I've been roleplaying a lot. At first, this helped my writing tenfold, but now it's replacing my writing time. While I still write now and then, I haven't been able to actually work on things. It's sapped away my time on here, my time with friends, my time with writing itself and even my time with books (though, that hasn't been a problem with me reading almost literally half of the Great Hunt today... I'll get to that).

Roleplaying does not a writer make, I've found...

Roleplaying on the shard is much, much better for my writing skills. Much better than, urm, Minecraft roleplaying. Dang, I almost want to laugh at myself for saying that. Minecraft roleplaying is storming addicting, as most roleplaying is. It's easier than other roleplaying, I have more visualization and no need to really bother with description.

    You see my problem?

While it is quite fun, it has been... not good.

I find myself trapped between a rock and a hard place. There are truly good people on there and my characters there are truly fantastic and I love to play as them. I think, however, I am close to a breaking off point there. Maybe a clean cut would be best... then again,

    Spoiler

The Great Hunt (and maybe Dragon Reborn?) minor spoiler.

    Spoiler

that's what Thom said in Cairhien during the Great Hunt, look where that got him.

Besides, I tried that before. It hasn't worked well...

I am slowly cutting off characters, but it isn't fast enough... idk.

Well, enough of me rambling about my roleplaying addiction. Now for some fun stuff. I'm almost done with the Great Hunt, I expect to finish it tonight. I might get to skimming the notifications sometime in the future. Though, at this point, I'm a bit scared of the number... ah well.

Even as I'm liking WoT better, I still think Dune is better, fight me. (This has nothing to do with me having a guitar version of Dune playing on my computer. Absolutely nothing.)

This has been another episode of "Roleplaying is as addicting as reading and WoT is actually good."

      Why is this literally me??

Long story short, Haly (@The Halcyon Girl) and I have been roleplaying with each other for over two years (we also have regular interactions like decent human beings but we roleplay a lot), including two roleplays in her different worlds, a roleplay in a shared world, a bit of roleplay here on the Shard (though I quickly dropped out because it was stressing me), and then a roleplay that follows the plot of my book. It's good for plotting and getting good character interaction and making writing less lonely, but it's taken a lot of time away from actually writing. And I've been less descriptive lately. Idk. But this resonates with me very deeply.

      :D

Rp is very addicting, and WoT is very good. Dune is awesome, I read the entire series and enjoyed it a lot, but I like WoT more, especially the last couple books.

      Rp is so storming addicting.

We'll see if WoT becomes better than Dune for me... idk how it'll manage to do it, but we'll see...

Also, I finished Great Hunt last night and I'm reading the Wingfeather short story thing inbetween so I don't over wheel of timed, if ya get what I'm saying. I think it's good to read a book in between the behemoths that make up wot.

  8. I will take the trial of the Grand Stick to claim my place, if needs be... for I am a stick.
  9. One of the Grand Sticks has arrived...
  10. The Great Hunt is so much better than the first time I read it. Idk what I was doing the first time I read it, but I'm glad I gave it another chance cause I regret thinking Great Hunt was my least favorite wheel of time book.

I'm glad you're giving it another chance too :D

The great hunt is when you meet the Seanchan, right?

      Yeah that's the one!

  11. sorta, I think they did a good portion of the casting wrong (Walker Scobell as Percy was a genius casting, I just wish he'd had his hair dyed tho). I hope it's good. Rick being heavily involved gives me hope. (Logan Lerman would've been the perfect Poseidon. All other actors for him pale in comparison.)
  12. I have done something very reckless.

    Extrememly so.

I am almost done with Eye of the World.

    And, so far, I think...

Oh gosh... am I really going to say it?

I'm liking Wheel of Time again. My attention span for the giant paragraphs is longer. Much longer. (Then again, I liked EotW the first go through.)

We'll see if I can survive the Great Hunt, my least favorite of the four full books and slice of book I read of WoT.

On other things, I will have two pieces of writing for ya soon. I'll edit the first one of those and then maybe finish another one I told you guys I was writing. The second of the two was written off a random thought I had while scanning through Calano's writing stuff on here (If you haven't looked at those, go look at 'em. They're fantastic.) Anyways, I shall give them to y'all soon. My writing has been a little slow lately and I've had a bit of stuff going on.r

  14. "Good. This could be very useful, Platypus. Very useful indeed..." Thaidakar reached for the thread. "I'll go back to my body now." He pulled on it. Thaidakar woke up with a jerk. He looked around and blinked, "Platypus is fine." @Shadowed @xinoehp512
  15. "It's not what you think it is," Spook said. He walked past Everyone, "You two coming or what?"
  16. "Nah, I can't rightly tell you what it is. The old cow would get mad if I told all of you what it was."
  17. "Going on a quest, apparently. Thaidakar's probably going to make me narrator of his narrator whatever stuff after this and finally leave me alone. I hope."
  18. "It was obvious. The way you talk, the way you like spooky mist..."
  19. Thaidakar nodded, "I checked your pulse and tried to sense you with my powers, that's it. Those are the first to things I generally think of." The power seemed to think it was funny that Thaid had said "My powers".
  20. Spook blinked, tilting his head at the frog, "Hmm... interesting. Ah well." Spook continued walking forward, thinking about the old moldy cow.
  21. Thaidakar let himself be pulled in. Thaidakar seemed to materialize in Platypus's mind, "Nice place you have. Nicer than most I've been to in millennia..."
