Thaidakar the Ghostblood replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Everything that Feanor does is important. What he's aiming to do to Subversion? Perhaps, perhaps not. I'm kinda just winging it as usual. I have a plan, but it isn't... it's a very flexible plan, shall we say? There are some fun things that will happen soon. I plan to shake Platypus to his core in a moment since I'll be gone until Saturday evening. Aight, ima just write something rq here to wrap up this one thing 'fore I've gotta do some stuff. Feanor fought with expert skill, holding back Platypus and earning hits against him. Platypus was good, but so was Feanor. And, yet, Feanor could see that with Vengeance at his side, and Feanor without a Plotblade, the winner was obvious in a quick fight. "Cheater," Feanor muttered. Feanor could, if he wanted to, win the fight, but it would take far, far longer than was feasible or that the clock would allow him. Well... he could do that... why, of course he could... And, perhaps, he would... Yes, yes he would. It was the only way to guarantee that Platypus understood what he was fighting for and what Platypus should be fighting for. It was time to show Platypus who he truly was. Continuing to hold off Platypus with expert skill, Feanor laughed, "You're avenging the fallen against me, Platypus?" The villain put a finger to his hood slightly, "Would you like to know who I am? Who I truly am underneath this hood? Only then will you truly and completely understand what this war is and what I am fighting for... And why Thaidakar had to die." The master swordsman used Narration to hold back Vengeance for a bit, "Tell me, would you like to see?"- 111832 replies

you have no idea what you're unleashing by trapping Feanor in a corner... Feanor smiled sardonically as the nightmarish spirits zoned in on himself. The master raised his blade so that it was parallel to his nose, falling into a rare sword stance that he'd known all his life like a close friend. The spirits grew closer and closer as Feanor took a deep breath. This was the moment he'd been waiting for. Ahh, and what a glorious moment it was. No-one would ruin his plans, not completely. They could try. Oh they could try. But, in the end, they had to know that they will lose all they hold dear in the process. Feanor remembered teaching upon teaching, layer upon layer of training him to become one of the best warriors in TLT. No, not a warrior, a beast of fury that could tear everything in its path to pieces. It was time to unleash that beast. Feanor's eyes snapped open, an animalistic rage seeming to emanate from them and him as he moved with grace, slamming his blade into one spirit after another. Narration grew around him, blocking Platypus from undoing his with expertise and finesse only learned after progressive failure and success. A master at his craft, Feanor mowed through the spirits, slashing them with his blade, a deadly cross between the darkness and the light. Feanor leapt into the air, sending the spirits with subtle Plot Weavings and Narration to charge Platypus. Narration flares around the master swordsman who is Feanor, bursting into blinding white flames. Feanor lands in front of Platypus, eyes blazing with Narration, white flames all around him like a halo of contrast to the darkness of his cloak, fallen spirits in the millions behind him. Feanor danced, slashing, stabbing, parrying, Narrating, Plot weaving, piercing and far more in an attack on Platypus. He countered every bit of Narration thrown at him with an impossibly precise touch, showing how long he'd been working to this moment. It was abundantly clear that Feanor was fighting a master of TLT. EDIT: accidentally wrote Platypus there instead of Feanor. He's slashed by Feanor's sword and kicked into Platypus during the flurry of attacks on the spirits.- 111832 replies

After a long minute, Rond finally stood, turning towards where Platypus really stood, the energy field in front of his face letting him see through illusions, "Defend your people. Fight for your cause. As for me, I will do the same." He raised the unholy blade, making a gesture of respect. "I hope to meet you again on the battlefield, Vengeance wielder." Rond strode away, pressing a button on his armor and shifting to a different location. The spirits continued their sinuous attack on the characters, Narrators, avatars and more all over the battlefield. In the mass of them, a figure formed, Feanor standing there in his vapory cloak, holding aloft a sword. Feanor strode forward towards Subversion, smiling softly, "Subversion! I see you have returned! Welcome back..." His voice echoed forward towards them. "How was being split into ten pieces? Fun... I'd bet..." The villain laughed sarcastically, "Tell me, do you think you will win this entire fight?" @Nameless*- 111832 replies

Thaidakar the Ghostblood replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I want to give you my rep, but I've ran out for the day XD The Ronds didn't all die. Some fell to the ground in an implosion because of the eruption of energy, of course, but not all of them had fallen to the chaotic Platypus's blades. Those who remained had absorbed the energy, floating high in the air and forming a circle, energy burning anyone's eyes if they lucked up at the unholy group. Darkness shrouded them as pure power coalesced in the midst of them, preparing for the right time to strike... Rond hid a conniving grin as Platypus carved the rune in the ground, landing calmly on the ground, getting ready to fight. Once Platypus moved behind him, he readied himself. Then, when the blade touched his back slightly, he released the energy that had come from the shockwave from earlier. It rebounded into Platypus's blade and into Platypus himself, either ripping him apart or sending him a ways back. Rond leapt into the air, swinging the Unholy blade with a masterful stroke. The beam prepared by the clones hit the sword. The scientist channeled the energy, feeding his anger, his hatred, his rage, his unbridled emotions that had grown since the beginning. Ever since he'd known Thaidakar. Ever since he'd known that he was in TLT. This was his moment! This was his spotlight! He knew he would most likely die in the end, but he was determined to meet death knowing that he'd fought with all of his heart. If he was to die, he would die in glory with power in his stance, energy in his movements and conviction in his mind. He was Rond! He was the scientist who had prepared Thaidakar for the world! He was the one who knew what it was like to fail time and time again, to be cast aside by those who thought they knew better, to be thrown into the pits of darkness by those who thought they were in the light! Rond had enough with those arrogant fools who called themselves heroes. Rond knew better than all of them. Everyone's selfish. In the end, they all are. "Heroes" will betray those they love most to survive. His experience taught him this. For, in TLT, the only heroes were those who took the time to help others in between their quests for personal gain. He had example upon example of this. And, he decided, it was time to end their reign upon TLT. It was time to start something knew. With a scream of pure animalistic desire for the annihilation of his enemies, Rond poured all the resentment into the beam, strengthening it beyond what it had been before. Rond landed with a burst of power, the blade's energy slamming into the ground. Energy beamed out of the tip, forming hundreds of tendrils of energy. There was no feasible way for Platypus to escape unscathed. Rond laughed, the Unholy sword thrumming under his grip, as if laughing along with him in an evil harmony. He would finally become who he wanted to be! Rond could finally... finally... become who he wanted to be... A small voice in the back of his head whispered, Is this who you are, Rond, a monster? You were the one thing that helped him survive. You are a brilliant scientist. You claimed you were upright and moral. And... you were. What happened to that Rond? "He died, long ago," Rond grunted under his breath. Then we'll have to resurrect him, I suppose. A boy sat in an empty room, crying, bruises covering his back, blood oozing from between the purple blotches. The boy was thin and pale with a mop of black hair over his head, a book in his hands titled Fablehaven. Another, older, boy came in, helping him with the bruises kindly, with caring. The older one was Rond. The younger was Thaidakar. Click. Thaidakar, a few years older, sat on a bed, smiling, "I think I'm going to ask out Sally." Rond grinned from the bed across from him, "You can do it! I know it!" He was fiddling with a chemistry set. Click. Rond was another year older than in the previous memory, helping Thaidakar with homework. Click. Rond was helping those around him in a new city. Click. Rond was beating an old man with a whip. Click. Rond was helping Thaidakar become a Narrator. Click. Rond was stabbing someone repeatedly Click. Rond was helping someone cross the road. Click. Click. Click. Memory upon memory flowed in Rond's mind. He. groaned, "Make it stop... please..." Micheal nodded, attacking a spirit. Feanor disconnected himself from Power, figuring out a plan to come back another time. would've written more, but my eyes feel like they're about to melt in their sockets. I'll be back tomorrow. Night.- 111832 replies

The Nightmare was ripped apart, it's pieces landing on the ground and wriggling into invisible holes in the ground. Boss fight time. A voice echoed from nowhere (non personified) to Power "Are you my enemy?" It was Feanor's. Thaidakar the Ghostblood replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Rond twists in the air, the armor storing the force of the shockwave for the right moment. Rond grins underneath the energy shield and brings his blade up in the air to the Plot blade, flying into it, energy flaring around him. Rond laughed as sparks flew from the Narration blade meeting the Unholy Blade. Darkness sprayed in all direction, countered by light giving it depth. He bounced off of the push, falling into a new form in the air and tapping his wrist. Five inversely colored versions of him jumped out of him, far less strong, but still fairly competent. They all, at once, rushed Platypus, moving to the side and performed the perfect flight equivalent of Heron among the rushes, moving back and forth, slashing with practiced skill. They were in a circle around him, slashing and attacking. Rond himself threw himself back, swirling his sword through the air, slicing through the very hem of reality. Pure energy of all colors rippled around the Unholy Blade and its welder, causing condensation of pure energy to form on the blade. Power undulated into unbridled orbs of energy, a technicolor and multitudinous mass of the matter that makes up TLT. It crackled like fire around Rond, preparing to strike. "Aim..." He pointed his blade to one of the clones as they proceeded to bombard Platypus in the air. Rond grinned. This was it. This was the time to prove himself. Really prove himself. He'd been shown time and time again to be a competent scientist. But this, this was what he needed. This is what would finally redeem him in Thaidakar's eyes and show him what he'd cast aside all those years ago. But, no, Thaidakar was dead. There was no-one to prove himself to anymore. No-one but the living and the dust of the earth. How does it feel to have one's purpose cast away into the infinite abyss of nothing that is your soul? Rond, in that moment, knew it better than any living in this time ever have or ever will. And... Yet... Somehow he knew that he had to keep going. Rond had to keep doing what he was doing otherwise who would he be? Without this, was he merely the second hand character from a dead Narrator's past? was he merely that one villain who was a good fighter and a scientist? And was that really him? And, if it was, would he want to change that? In an instant of realization, Rond realized something very important. No, he wouldn't want to change that, because it was his destiny. Destiny had a path for him. And it felt right for him to be doing this. For once in his life he was acting instead of being on the sidelines and he liked it! And, so, Rond seized his destiny. A pure beam of raging, unfathomable and destined to be true shot hit one of the clones, beaming into the others and forming a dome around them and Platypus. The beam fired fifty times all at once on one spot. Platypus's body. Blood moon by Rok Nardin. I give you full permission to be as powerful as can be as long as you don't godmod. Micheal smiled, offering him a hand, "Anytime... Besides, my dead wife was going to not let me watch a tv show with her if I didn't. Now, let's go help the others against Power!" The beast roared, struggling to kill Power. "MORE!" Its being undulated against itself, shifting and changing into countless shapes of beings long gone, in the present or will come into place. Past, present and future merged on one being, crafting it into an absolute monster that seemed like it was taken right out of a child's unformed and unnatural nightmare. No, it was a nightmare. A nightmare made ethereal. It was living darkness here to drag down its victims to the depths of hell and beyond. It was here to consume. To eat. To devour. The mass of beasts screeched, its great maw of a mouth ready to bring Power to the depths of the deepest underworld, to the darkest dungeons of Hades's realm, to the worst of worlds.- 111832 replies

Rond floated back into the air, shaking off the effects of the shockwave, gazing at Platypus with a sardonic smile. He slapped gadgets to his legs, taking the searing pain and casting it into the ground. He landed on the ground calmly, pulling out a paper thing blade as tall as a tree, a gleam in his eyes. "Who am I to stand before you?" He asked, as if dazed. "Well, for one thing, I am Rond No-name. I am the one who stayed in the corner while his brother became the star, while his un-biological brother became a Narrator who dazzled the skies with his power, who became more arrogant than Arrogance. I have killed, I have fought, I have murdered, I have studied for the notion of a dream I now get to build. Don't stand in my way, Platypus! But, I see you are determined... so..." Without further ado, Rond strode forward, labcoat swiftly transforming into a sleek black suit of armor around him. A voluminous and shadowy cloak extended behind him, power rippling off of it as the scientist raised his blade melancholically. "Let the game of chess begin," he said in an almost whisper. Rond jumped into the air, arcing towards Platypus with a powerful slash aimed at his side. Orange energy shields formed around his his wrists and his face, his hair rippling in the rush of wind around him. "WHO AM I TO STAND BEFORE YOU? I AM HE WHO WAS IGNORED BUT SHALL NOT BE ANY LONGER!" "Unintelligible can't last unless you help him," a voice whispered to the fallen figure of Micheal, laying over Thaidakar's voice, weeping. "Please, get up, Micheal... you need to help him. My love... please..." "Lindy... he's dead... just like you, just like our son..." His voice cracked as tears fell. "I can't do this..." "Yes you can! Yes you can!" a hand lay on his shoulder. "Please... help them!" "I can't, Lindy, I can't..." "Do it for me! Do it for us!" Lindy encouraged him. "If you don't, then I'll finish our tv show without you." Micheal cracked a smile, but it didn't last long. "I don't think I can..." "Then don't... and you'll see him and everyone else fall. If you don't take a stand now, when will you ever? Or will you prove yourself as weak as you claim you are?" She asked him sternly. "Avenge us." Micheal shook, "I..." Confidence surged in him. If not now, when? And... he stood up, at first walking towards Unintelligible and the spirits, now running. He drew his dagger, slamming it into a spirit, yelling, ripping them apart with his dagger. Finally, he slammed it into the creature killing Unintelligible, ripping the very fiber of its soul apart and freeing Unintelligible. "Couldn't leave you dying there," He said with a smile. Spirits rushed at the shining figure, trying to eat up all the energy. They raged, contorting in the air into a great varieties mass of shapes, rasping incoherent whispers, reaching for any exposed flesh, tearing, ripping, eating the very souls of anyone they came in contact with on the way. They shrieks, masses convulsing on the figure. They formed into a large beast, opening it's mouth all around the figure, trying to destroy it. "DIIIIEEEE!" they all seemed to screech at once in their chilling voices.- 111832 replies

Saaaaame. I feel like role-playing fights in this format is just very creatively stimulating. This sort of turn based lets me think and create the best reaction. The sort I used to do really forced me to do it all in a flash and just type it all out in less than a minute. I still kinda do that, but I can actually think about it and craft it daringly instead of just willy nilly without easy editing.- 111832 replies

you aint seen nothing yet... If you wanna see more of my writing, check my thing in the Creator's corner. I got some good stuff there, though I should update it sometime... Also, Thaidakar wasn't using a plot blade. Rond laughed on the ground, "Kill me! I've come back! I've been cloned time and time again! None of us can die here! Not really!" His laugh turned insane as he watched the madness around him. When Platypus arrived, spirits swarmed closer, attacking Platypus. "No... I am not ready to die, my friend, oh no..." He flipped a switch on his device, turning it to the ground and using it to float in the air, intent flowing into the technology. "Tell me, Platypus, what do you think Death looks like?" You can kill him... if you can. We'll see... For what you asked about Curiosity in the other post that I wasn't able to put here, it depends on what nameless says. I want Curiosity dead, but it's Nameless's character. EDIT: just realized when I reread it that you were asking if Thaidakar stopped him in time. That would be a no. But who knows what Nameless will say.- 111832 replies

Rond raised his hand, without looking up, and froze whatever was up there, slamming it into the ground. "Pathetic. Anyways... have fun." Rond continued walking along. In the midst of the battlefield, spirits swirling around and fighting characters, avatars, side characters and Narrators, a tall cloaked figure appeared with a crooked smile under a vaporous hood. Feanor, the murderer, the killer, the ender of lives. Striding towards Micheal and Thaidakar, who were fighting spirits desperately, he turned slightly towards Curiosity. He raised a hand, smiling softly, "Goodbye... Stay curious in the next life!" A beam of Narration, Plot weaving and something else hit Curiosity, ripping them apart as the Brave Adventurer had been. time to write something fun. Thaidakar froze, turning towards Curiosity and Feanor. "No... not again!" He jumped into the air, Narration lifting him up, power trailing along him, "DIE, FEANOR!" As he arced across the sky, power fell upon a load of the spirits, stopping them form attacking. The attack began to let up for most of them, giving them a bit more room to breath. The Narrator landed, power pulsing around him like turquoise flames. "Feanor. You, me, right now, swords and Narration." His Narrationblade shimmered in the light, "Fight me, now." Feanor laughed, "Good day, sir! We shall have our fight. Good luck to you!" Feanor tipped his hood slightly in respect, "And so we begin." Feanor rushed forward, a gilded black sword shimmering in his fingers. Thaidakar countered, slapping his blade away just in time. Feanor used that to bring his sword back around to Thaidakar's back. Thaidakar Narrated a shield behind him, spinning and arcing his blade into Feanor's shoulder. And so the game began. With each attack they countered, with each parry they launched another assault, with each stab there was a block in place already. At first, they seemed equals, toe to toe, flames, stray Narration and more flying in all directions. Sweat dripped on the ground as one began tiring and the other became more aggressive. There was a flash of light and one body knelt to the ground, groaning in pain as the other smiled triumphantly. Thaidakar looked up at Feanor's gloating face under his hood and smiled, "You will never win... while there is still power in TLT, good will triumph! You will fall like-" The Narrator was interrupted by a swift slash to the throat, falling to the ground completely, shimmering blood leaking out of his many wounds. Feanor put a foot on the body and said, his words echoing through the battlefield, "Another Narrator is dead. All who wish to join me, raise your fists. If you are lying, the spirits will remove your soul promptly. If not... then you shall join me in my endeavors. Now, for the rest of you who wish to keep fighting, I wish you luck. You are a noble bunch, defending what you love, but you will fail inevitably in keeping everything as you want. May your knives chip and shatter!" And, with that, Feanor disappeared in a burst of blue flames, spirits rushing everywhere, attacking everyone they could. Thaidakar's body lay on the ground, eyes open, facing upward, a sarcastic smile frozen on his face. His last words were etched into his mouth, "You will fall!" In a distant place, Spook looked up, eyes widening, "He's dead!"- 111832 replies

Rond sends five more spirits with a motion and click of his button towards Unintelligible, Arranis and Curiosity. @Scars of Hathsin Rond raised his left hand, a device wrapped around it, and flexed his fingers. Platypus froze, blade brushing Rond's short blond hair. "Well, isn't this fun?" Rond said, his labcoat swishing. He brought the spirits towards Platypus, letting them begin feasting on his soul. Platypus could probably escape with powerful Narration or if someone else freed him, but it would take a good bit of energy to do so.- 111832 replies

Eyy! I went to Barnes and Nobles today!
I didn't get all the books I wanted, but a good enough bit to make a large dent in my hundred bucks.
First up, we've got the Last Command by Timothy Zahn. The third book in the Thrawn Trilogy. I wanted to get the second one too, the one I'm actually gonna read next in the series, but... I mean... *shrugs*
Second up, we've got Babel, a book I've wanted to get for awhile. I've heard good things about it and I like the cover and blurb. It is a really nice cover.
Third we've got Thunderhead! My least favorite book in Scythe but still a good one.
And, finally, we have The Toll! the third book in Scythe. I had to go back and reread the ending... mmm... I now have the full trilogy, but I still need Gleanings. The Barnes and Nobles didn't have it, sadly. I'm missing my old one.
Well, this just means I'm gonna have to go again-
