Today is the twenty first of September, which means two things.

"DO YOU REMEMBER? ON THE TWENTY FIRST NIIIIIGHT OF SEPTEMBA?"

And, second of all, 86 years ago, on this day, the Hobbit was published.

  okay because apparently Bilbo & Frodo's birthday is the 22nd????
  
  even though the book came out on the 21st???
  
  I've always celebrated it on the 21st, but apparently it was the 22nd the whole time! I suspect it has something to do with the publication process - like maybe it was first published on the 21st but only first sold on the 22nd or something of the sort.
  
  But you know what? I'm not mad. Why should I be? Twice the Hobbit Day is twice the fun!
