  1. Your roleplay would be yourself or a fictional SE player. Trying to avoid players playing as each other because it can be problematic Basically, you're playing two games at the same time. On even cycles (well, odd cycles if you count Night Zero), you will be playing the Pseudogame, where you will be trying to figure out which faction the Metagame elims want to win. On odd cycles, you will be playing the Metagame, where you will be hunting the elims like normal. Really, if you just treat even and odd cycles as separate games, you can't go too wrong.
  2. LG112 - Sign-Ups: A Game Within a Game Within a Game Within… The Unknown Player opened SE. The Anniversary Game had just posted signups. He read through the setting. It seemed pretty nonsensical this year, Shardworlds with Tyrian roles? And that investiture vote manipulation couldn't be balanced. Sure, he had been one of the ones to approve the ruleset, but that didn't mean he actually read the rules. Still, it wasn't like he wasn't going to sign up regardless. He scrolled through the cosmetic role list, trying to come up with ideas, but was interrupted by a notification. There was a new post in the topic. “Attention, roleplay during the Anniversary Game has been canceled this year. The Roleplay Characters, particularly long running multigame personas, seem to have developed a mind of their own. They sent the mods a message, threatening to release the k01055 upon the forum, though they do not yet have enough influence. We believe they have infiltrated the Anniversary Game and are attempting to sway the result. We must find them as a community. If we fail, the entire 17th Shard might be overrun.” What in damnation? The Unknown Player wondered. He checked his backlog of Discord messages. How had he missed this? Well, he had to help find these rogue Roleplay Characters. He sent a message to the GM. “We can't let them release the k01055 on the Shard. I'm in.” ~ Welcome, welcome, welcome to Long Game 112: A Game Within a Game Within a Game Within… Well, you get the gist. As you might have guessed, this is a Meta game, where players will be playing themselves or fictional SE players, facing off against sentient Roleplay Characters in two games simultaneously. I will be your GM, @Wahr will be my Co-GM, and @Jo will be the IM. This game will begin in a little over a week's time on Tuesday the 26th of May at 11:00 AM Central Time. Rollovers will remain at that time. This is a complex game, which will likely go longer than an average game. To compensate, cycles have been lengthened, but if you can't check in multiple times every two days, come join us in the spectator doc. Note that the votes will be done differently than normal, so read that carefully and feel free to ask any questions (or volunteer to make the spreadsheet pretty, cause I ain't doing it). You can find the rules here in Google Doc form: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nIkEzRgRQtSFQ7VN-QyhbFkzt8hJhnGwK2xDmLwYp9U/edit?usp=drivesdk And here on the Shard: LG112: A Game Within a Game Within a Game Within... Players: Spectators: Pinch-Hitters: I think that's everything, let me know if I missed anything
  3. And what have you done every turn? Sorry for the slow interrogation, but this is the only way I might be convinced
  4. I am intending to. I will get my rules submitted tonight or tomorrow
  5. Yeah, sorry, didn't have much time today I feel like the elim doc would be coaching Ver better at this point, Drake pushed Mippo before Coco revealed, so I'm going with Penguin
  6. Glad my logic was correct It was nice not misexing you for once Coco Drake I wonder who the third elim is here. Ver is very odd, but odd does not an elim make. I'll try to do some analysis tomorrow
  7. Yeah, I was working on a rather long post that I lost unfortunately. I've got two things. Why does e!Coco choose Drake of all people to go after here? They could chose anyone, and they chose an experienced player who will threadbrawl. Coco is also feeling very similar tonally to when we've pushed v!Coco before imo. Therefore: Star
  8. The best explanation for a countertrain is that the elims have decided to bus/not oppose Fizz. Doing so would implicate them after his flip, so not pursuing him or even being on the train is much safer
  9. I'm not really concerned with elim 3 right now. That's a low priority imo when we don't even know if Fizz is e. That's why I didn't like the comments about the elims not caring about the Fizz train. He was one vote from a tie, which means he's completely safe if an elim was voting him or two elims are coordinating. Considering he didn't/hadn't self pressed, he really was in no danger. Until my vote appeared to threaten him, which presumably caused Coco to save him
  10. You were chosen as Fizz's countertrain Myst never said I was mindbladed until I voted (AFAIK, and I think I would have noticed) I explicitly stated that I didn't have any reads, but I had an idea. That was this plan. Why would I say I had an idea if I was an elim defending my teammate? I'd just say I suspected Fizz. Also, everything you said could have been true with me being v. There could still be an e!inhibitor who rbed you, Coco could still be e not wanting to vote Fizz. I didn't hammer either, I voted with a half hour left, that's not hammering, that's giving plenty of time for reactions, which I was looking for and got I'm not sure 100% on how PMs work this game, but if your PM hasn't been made yet you can switch your action
  11. And so my plan is revealed So, here's my plan My vote doesn't count, but nobody knows (I didn't expect my mindblader to claim, that's a powerful role and you probably shouldn't have claimed tbh). That means I can make it seem like Fizz is in danger without actually putting him in danger. If Fizz is v, it changes nothing really, if Fizz is e, it would smoke out his teammates into defending him (my hypothesis is that they figured the village would take tie it up or even take Fizz out of the lead entirely). My estimation currently: Fizz/(Myst and Ver) not e/e, emphasis on Myst because he doesn't reveal the mindblade if he's e. Coco definitely doesn't look good in my estimation either. In fact, the way Coco was seeding doubt about the Fizz exe already seems even more e/e indicative. But, all of this hinges on e!Fizz, which, though indicated by Coco, isn't guaranteed. As my motto has been recently, we must exe the secondary train. So, in conclusion Fizz
  12. This is the correct definition It can work, but it has to be under very specific circumstances, the Gazelle has to be a reasonable kill target (therefore not under much suspicion, limiting the utility), and they can't do overtly elim things We were a little busy losing We have done more gambits as neutral/village than as elims though, that is true Edit: I have no clue who to vote here tbh. Actually, I have an idea. Fizz
  13. Me and Drake were exactly the people I was thinking of, yeah Penguin maybe too In my experience with gambits, they don't go through unless everyone is on board. A little bit of hesitance stonewalls them for some reason (I've tried to get my team to do WGGs so many times and I don't think we ever actually did one) I think its the opposite actually, probably a villager reaction testing. That would be a bizarre play for an elim to make
  14. You get used to it I had a long run of them, but they tend to balance out in the end I wouldn't hard clear Twin, but definitely a non-Newtonian fluid clear If an elim team actually WGGed d1, immense respect
  15. Hmm. Any reason? (No reason/random counts, I'm just wondering) I don't think statistics quite work that way when it's 100% GM decided, but I still agree.
  16. I almost made my roleplay character a delver. Someone did that last Skyward game (which was a top tier elim game on my part btw, so this needs to be a top tier village game to make up for it) Yeah. So. Uh. To hypothetically make that hypothetical person's life easier, let's use less PMs! Hypothetically of course I was not scheeming, though I can neither confirm nor deny if I was scheming
  17. False advertising! I only joined for murdererous humans! In light of this news, I am now taking over as Serial Killer. I will be obtaining a factional kill every turn and winning as the last person standing Rude I was busy, doing, uh, things Tbh, I don't think PMs are going to get much use this game. They tend to be pretty hard to utilize when they're restricted like this Fellow slug person!
  18. I'll sign up as... I'm rusty on my Skyward lore Uh. Smartslug, a slug whose cytonic ability is sapience and managed to argue for rights!
  19. A bunch can be found here: I'm not sure how Kas made them tbh, but imgflip.com might work, that's how I make ordinary memes. You can add links to images by double clicking the image (on mobile, idk for desktop)
