GM Signups & Discussion Thread

If you need flavor I have a game with 40+ roles that you can borrow from. -
Deep in space, there is a star. That star is orange in color. Far away, at the edge of that stars gravity, lies a brown dwarf. It emits little light, but is brighter than most stars. Closest to the yellow star, Asuin-A, is Asuin-1, next and at the closest part of the habitable zone, is Asuin-2. The world we will be watching is Asuin-3, and we believe it contains life. @Mage

I'm not going to defend this, because none of you will be swayed. I know because I've tried and everybody still suspects me.- 264 replies

What pattern? Also, if you've played almost any game with me, you'd know that I almost never vote d1, or even d2.- 264 replies

Mid-Range Game 54: Fading Glory
The Unknown Medallion replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Why do you expect me to be on a team with my biggest sus? Do you think I'm trying to bus? Also, you state that me being village doesn't give much info, but you also already want to exe one of my teammates and I want to exe one of two potential teammates, so you have an extra vote either way. And... I'm pretty sure TJ is the only one who wants me dead other than you. Why not take the three votes on Devo? Do you really trust them a lot or something? Why not take the 2+ votes on Steel? Why fixate on me? You also state that not much sticks out about TJ, and they aren't pushing their votes enough in your opinion. You point out they their reasoning is flawed, but don't seem to distrust them. What would you say your read on them is? Why do you insist that my read on Devo comes from outside the thread or just straight up being wrong? It's a read. They match my profile for the third elim, not voting for one reason or another than starting to vote next cycle to retain thread control. Why do you exclude Tani from being elim? I don't think they are, but it never really seems like an option in your posts. I'll get back to you on who I suspect as elims from d1 voting. I've tried to put it together several times now but haven't gotten it in writing yet.- 264 replies

I did. The typical low activity elim profile (and most effective one) is to be low activity but still vote to retain thread control.- 264 replies

That. A last minute switch and some vote manipulation could have exed Devo, and if the action was submitted earlier in the cycle they could have believed I was going to be exed and Venture wasn't, so they tried to reverse that.- 264 replies

Isn't the only vote mover guaranteed vil? Let me check. Edit: It is. So that doesn't mean anything except that player had a good opinion of me and a bad one of Venture. Or even just Venture.- 264 replies

I don't really want to vote Venture cause they're new. My biggest suspicion is Devo and I think that lynch could easily go through. I will vote for Venture for consolidation if Devo isn't up for the exe, since I still find him sus, just less so.- 264 replies

Mid-Range Game 54: Fading Glory
The Unknown Medallion replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I believe that (assuming three elims) two out of the elims voted. I'm mostly questioning why you are going after me (I understand Venture). I was contributing to the discussion unlike Seadragonet, who gets a pass for being new, Taken, also kind of new but definitely an option, Devo, who isn't even a returning player, just an older one, and Steel, who does this no matter what. That leaves Ed, fairly active and new, but suspicious, Taken, slight pass, and Devo, who doesn't really have any good reason for not being killed. And Tani, but they haven't done anything AI. Why am I an option over Tani?- 264 replies

Mid-Range Game 54: Fading Glory
The Unknown Medallion replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That points towards Venture being elim because the elims decided not to kill them. I do happen to agree with this viewpoint though. I almost never vote cycle one, no matter how active I am. What? I wasn't. I was joking because Tani said something that would be instantly suspicious coming from almost anyone else.- 264 replies

Mid-Range Game 54: Fading Glory
The Unknown Medallion replied to Mat's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That was a joke because of Tani's "I don't want to be vil I'm going to help the elims. Now you attacked me so I'm going to actually do my job now" thing. I don't actually find it sus. That's horrible logic that has used to kill non-voting villagers like me and sometimes Tani way too much. Undercover elims almost always vote to retain thread control, low active villagers don't tend to. The better target for vig kills are voting inactives who the viggies are sus of.- 264 replies

Any fantasy series recommendations?
The Unknown Medallion replied to Elias's topic in General Discussion
If you're looking for something based on old medieval beliefs and such, the Dresden Files is an Urban Fantasy detective novel that takes old legends about Fey and the power of names or circles and uses them interesting twists. However, it is far from clean (although light on swearing). Also, the Kingkiller Chronicles is a good book with slightly physics based magic is very good. It is also just a little bit dirtier than Warbreaker, although the second book especially has some innuendo. Unfortunately, the other doesn't seem to be planning on writing the third in the near future.- 26 replies
