    The Three-Body Problem is... a lot of firsts for me. It's namely the first translated book I've read (that I know of), and it feels just like any other non-standardly formatted English original book, so it's a pretty successful one as far as that goes. It's also really the first "philosophical" books I've read, even if it doesn’t completely fit that category. I don't really think about morals of stories or complex questions overly much, and this story isn't an exception. I can pretty easily and quickly determine my beliefs on just about any moral dilemma, which does give me a tendency to shake my head at certain people in books like these. Overall though, it was a very good read. Was interested throughout and never really knew what to expect, and when I thought I did I tended to be wrong. Definitely recommend it. Maybe I'll get to it on Treamayne's thing eventually, but I'll probably end up forgetting. Edit: I'm also trying to finish up my audio of A Clash of Kings. I'm really started to doubt if this series is worth the slog. Tyrian is very fun, but basically everyone else is boring or infuriating, except Danaerys, who feels like a fever dream that's too far from the main plot but is at least enjoyable sometimes. This will probably end up being the last book in the series I read, and will just end up watching the show if I ever get HBO.

    I don't think you quite understand what a poke vote is. A poke vote is a vote placed d1 on someone who hasn't posted, or has only posted once in order to attempt to get more activity out of them. Poke votes are normally removed when the target responds. As such, all evidence points to it not being a poke vote.

    To those asking what a Merlin is, it is a role that knows the identities of the elims, but if the elims guess their identity, the elims win. In this case, the Merlin would know the identity of the hidden elim. I'm not so sure if this will be included in a game with open PMs however. @DeTess, my logic for my vote is, is there anything better to do? I don’t normally vote d1 because there's to little to base on and I have trouble forming suspicions quickly. But in this case, there are two people that as far as I know, I want to die. If they're village, too bad, we would have killed a villager anyways, but they could actually be elims. So why not? Also, if we kill a non-infiltrator today, then we will only know what happens if we leave the red names alive, but if we kill Archer today, we'll see how he flips, and we'll see what happens to the still alive Labyrinth. I'm mostly just kinda curious why you're so against it, it's not like d1 exes actually normally kill an elim, so why not follow the only lead we have, which will also give us basically twice as much information as the other way around.

    For me, it very well could be, this is a blackout after all. I kinda figure there's one hidden Infiltrator and maybe a Merlin. But we'll see.

    I voted Archer just because Araris was already voting on him and he is labeled as an Infiltrator. My wincon is to kill all Infiltrators. It kinda worries me that that isn't as obvious to you as it should be if you had that wincon.

    Oh, I kept trying to read that serious, but I would keep stalling on the second book. Can't even remember if I ever finished it. Always enjoyed it, just circumstances came up. Edit: I'm currently reading Jade City by Fonda Lee, it is a delight. I forgot that people kept talking about "the thing" midway through the book, and was absolutely stunned. Also listening to the Graphic Audio of the Blinding Knife, I'm so in love with Graphic Audio, and I keep getting reminded of how how much I love the Lightbringer series.

    Alright, so I'm worldbuilding for a book idea right now and I need to decide which way I'm going to describe something. 

    The evil(ish) magic users in this setting have a certain type of deadly assassin creature that are called Smilers in world. That's important, I'll get to ut later. They can look completely like a human, but once they attack they drop their disguise. They have long manipulatable claws on their hands and slightly off proportions, but their main defining feature is their face. They don't have a mouth, but kinda to compensate they have a very large nose and big eyes, topped by bushy eyebrows and a small forehead.

    My main point of contention is deciding what their mouth area looks like. I'd appreciate if you could tell me which option seems scariest/creepiest.

    Option One: Nothing, just unblemished skin. I like this one, but feel it might be a bit too bland.

    Option Two: A painted smile, kinda like the Joker, but without an actual mouth inside. I don't know what it would exactly look like, but just some sort of tattoo thing that is permanently smiling. I like this one too, and it was my original idea, but I kinda think it might be too goofy for the serious tone of the world.

    Option Three: A sort of shriveled up mouthlike line, kinda Deadpool (not the current one, the old one) esque, with stitching appearing to seal it shut. Not so sure about this one, it kinda feels like it would attract attention away from the upper part of the face, which is kinda the opposite of what I want to do, but I think it's probably the creepiest.

    So your input would be much appreciated, this is bugging my mind and I'd really like some extra opinions.

      Hm, maybe. 

      My current plan is that they speak through telepathy, but that would fit with the underlying way that their bodies work.

      Um... one or three. Maybe a bit more of a lean towards one because it seems like that aligns a bit more with what you want the effect to be.

    Or you could just not! Remember Team White, using docs is hard and messy and stuff, and didn't the Bandersnatches do just fine with barely using their doc? So just don't use your doc. Pretty please, with a cherry on top?
