  1. No. Not yet. I will though.
  2. "Rusting iron on a hillside!" She scrambled to the side, sucked in some storm light, and created a wall for them to hide behind. "HEY! OVER HERE!" She was attuning Tension, and was gesturing wildly. She hadn't been in a situation like this before. @mathiau, @Ashbringer
  3. Seraphina finished her book. She was not happy. Now that she wasn't reading, would people ACTUALLY approach her? She felt so awkward in social situations. She sighed. Should she start re-reading the book? No. She wouldn't. She put the book away with a sigh, and ate her snacks.
  4. A bald man wearing white walks into the room, carrying a large, black sword with a silver sheath. He drops the sword onto a chair, and then walks back out. "Hello!" Says a cheerful voice. "Would you like to destroy some evil today?"
  5. "I'll be right back." She grabbed her bag, and headed to the nearest general store. She went inside and ran up to the man at the front. She pulled out one of her blank notebooks mournfully. It was a nice notebook with a leather cover. She also pulled out a few vials of tin. "These are tin. How much would you give me for all this?" She said sadly. "Hm... Well, it's a nicer notebook... and that tin seems like it's good quality...so I'd say... 'bout 60 boxings." "Deal." She handed over the notebook, and he handed over the boxings. She grabbed the boxings, stuffed them in her bag, and ran back. She gave Drae 20 of the boxings. "I am LENDING this to you. You WILL pay me back. Or else." She looked him in the eyes. "I had to sell one of my notebooks for that. You're welcome."
  6. She looked at Eryn gratefully. "Yeah. That's probably a good idea." Phew. I can't wait to sleep in a bed again!
  7. Seraphina had finished her snacks. She was getting worried. She was almost finished with her book, and she didn't want to start socializing. She wanted to go back to her room, and get the other book she had just bought. It apparently happened on the same world, and was called The Empress's Soul. What if, once she finished the book, someone came up to her and asked her to dance?! She shuddered. Then she got up, and refilled her plate. She hurried back to the table, and started reading Elantris her book again.
  8. Ladashwy looked into her bag, and winced. She had no money. "Rusts." She had spent it all on tin, food, and notebooks.
  9. Cilliss walked out into the main cave wearing a simple, purple dress over her second set of roughs clothing. Wearing dresses often caused people to underestimate her. She also wore a white scarf that she had found shoved in her bag. If necessary, it could be turned into an impromptu weapon. She still had a cocky look in her eyes. She grinned. "Do any of you happen to use magic?" She said nonchalantly. She wanted to test out her chromium, but would need a source of investure (often called magic by less informed people) before hand. Luckily, leeching wasn't her most useful ability anyway, so it wouldn't be that bad if she couldn't use it.
  10. "Whelp, I'm going to get back to reading now." She opened her book and started reading. Seraphina's jaw dropped. "Well. That wasn't what I expected." She muttered. She started reading even more intently, eyes wide. She started eating more of her snacks.
  11. "The first one is called The Way of Crabs. It is one of the weirder titles. It is also one of the best books." She grinned. "Of course, all of the different series happen on different worlds, and Wit is in all of them, which is... Interesting."
  12. Wait. My gut was RIGHT!? He was a rithmatist? Huh. Well then.
  13. Just did! Good point. Makes sense.
  14. "No, but the author has this one series called the Rainlight Archives, and there is a jester known as the king's Wit. He has some lines in there that are golden. My favorite is probably 'Yes, yes. Aim for the sun. That way if you miss, at least your arrow will fall far away, and the person it kills will likely be someone you don't know.' Then there are others like, 'testing the limits of human stupidity? How very empirical of you!' His lines are marvelous! And he just so happens to be in this book for about 5 seconds! He doesn't say anything, however."
  15. What the heck did I miss?!?! Also, okay..... Archer. And then my second gut vote was Illwei. (I'm sorry)
  16. "Oh, It's kind of complicated, but basically there are 3 main characters. The first is a prince who got cursed by this magic plague thing, and now has to live in a city with others like him. The magic plague thing used to be a good thing, but then it changed for some reason. It made it so that he is basically a magic zombie. The next character is a princess who got betrothed to the prince. Everyone thinks he died, and she thinks the prince's father did it. But he didn't die, so... Yeah. And then there is the last main character. He's the antagonist, a priest who has to convert the kingdom, or it will go up in smoke. He is using the city that the prince is in as a scapegoat. Oh, and the prince is trying to reclaim the city's fallen magic."
  17. "A Tale of Silver and Gold. It's pretty good. At least, so far."
  18. Seraphina choked, and started coughing. Once she stopped choking, she started laughing. "You're good!" She grinned.
  19. Seraphina deflated after he left. She was very glad to have been there to see the entire fiasco, but wished the jester could have gotten a few more words in. He had some serious skill.
  20. Seraphina started cracking up again.
  21. Seraphina tried to get her laughing under control. Once she did, she tried to keep a straight face. She turned toward the first man. "If I threw a stick, you'd leave, right?" She struggled to keep a straight face.
  22. Seraphina lost it. She was laughing so hard, tears were coming out of her eyes. She liked this jester. He was good at making fun of people.
