  1. You could fill goldminds as an excuse to be late or not go to places (also adds some joy to being sick in order to store health). The only downside is people might catch on and assume your faking.
  2. Opposite if Endowment it snacks on investiture. (Kidding, obviously).
  3. You could fill a goldmind (making you ill) to use as an excuse to skip school. Also, could later tap it for all those benefits.
  4. I think an A-bronze and F-tin twinborn would make an excellent lookout. They could store their "bronze-sense" in a tinmind allowing them to sniff out allomancers and store other senses in tinminds allowing them to hear the slightest creak or see the fastest blur.
  5. So, throughout Mistborn era 1 and 2, we learn about the fact that people can either use 1 power or all powers (this applies to allomancy and feruchemy). We also learn a person can have both allomantic and feruchemical powers (twinborn, compounders and the Lord Ruler). So, hypothetically, a person could have all allomantic powers and a feruchemical power (Mistborn + Ferring) or all feruchemical powers and an allomantic power (Full Feruchemist + Misting). I wanted to know about naming ideas for these various power combos.
  6. In this WoB, https://wob.coppermind.net/events/123/#e3299 Brandon mentioned Ingenuity as a shard he would like to be, I've heard (on this site and elsewhere) different interpretations about how real this is. If this is for real then I can come up with 2 scenarios. 1 "Invention" and "Ingenuity" are the same shard with different names (in which case this doesn't matter) or "Ingenuity" is a completely different shard, meaning we now have the names of 15/16 shards. The last scenario is that "Ingenuity" is just a shard Brandon came up with to answer the question. I wanted to know what people (far more experienced with the Cosmere than I) think about this and which scenario is most likely, because I really have no idea.
  7. With this thread we have uncovered Brandon's secret plan for era 3
  8. What do you think? Admittedly, the feruchemical powers were burrowed/ stolen from a post posted by @Firerust on April 8th 2017
  9. This is completely fan-made and is just something i came up with (and of course if this did exist we wouldn't really be able to call them quadrants). I made a complete metallic arts quadrant. When referring to allomancy, this quadrant is called "Spiritual". When referring to feruchemy, this quadrant is called "Psychic" (basically a second cognitive, like how hybrid is (mostly, never forget electrum boogaloo) a second physical) Silver (external, pulling) (pure) Allomancy: Silver pulls the target's intent towards the user. This has the effect of allowing the user to know what the target's intent is regardless of anything else. A silver misting is called an Untruth. Feruchemy: Silver can store emotional influence inside a silvermind. A silver ferring is called a Swinger. Swingers can fill a silvermind, this has the effect of them not feeling any emotions at all, and can then later tap it, this has the effect of greatly increasing the strength of whatever emotion they're feeling (like a rioter using zinc, except only with the emotion they're currently feeling). Hemalurgy: Silver can steal allomantic spiritual powers. Goloid (external, pushing) (silver, copper and gold (silver's alloy)) Allomancy: Goloid pushes the user's intent onto the target. This causes the target to have the same intent/reason as the user for doing any actions. A goloid misting is called an Encourager. Feruchemy: Goloid can store creativity inside a goloidmind. A goloid ferring is called a Creator. Creators can fill a goloidmind to undergo a severe lack of creativity and an inability to "think outside the box". Creators can tap a goloidmind to undergo a surge of creativity and create new ideas. Hemalurgy: Goloid can steal creativity. Lead (internal, pulling) (pure) Allomancy: Lead pulls on the user's fortune. This has the effect of making the user significantly luckier than normal. A lead misting is called a Fluke. Feruchemy: Lead can store mental flexibility inside a leadmind. A lead ferring is called a Morpher. Morphers can fill a leadmind to make themselves very strict and unable to adapt/change to their surroundings, possibly unable to read the tone as well. Morphers can tap a leadmind to make it very easy to read the tone, less likely to punish rule-breakers and very capable to adapting to their surroundings. Hemalurgy: Lead can steal feruchemical psychic powers Terne (internal, pushing) (lead and tin (lead's alloy)) Allomancy: Terne pushes the user's destiny away. This increases the user's freewill and can change the outcome of a battle. Terne can also be used to combat atium (as they will have no shadows). A terne misting is called a Freeman. Feruchemy: Terne can store artistic ability in a ternemind. A terne ferring is called a Talent. Talents can fill a ternemind to undergo a severe decrease in skill and abilities with anything to do with art. Talents can tap a ternemind to undergo the opposite effect. Hemalurgy: Terne can steal talent (like a Talent tapping a ternemind, except it extends to all areas)
  10. First point: getting Way of Kings for Christmas. Second point: I'm not really sure I quite like Kelsier (especially after Mistborn: Secret History), Sazed (especially era 2 (Harmony)) and 100% others from other series whom I have forgotten and will hate myself for forgetting.
  11. Yeah probably
  12. My favorite Cosmere book would be either The Hero of Ages or The Final Empire (both Mistborn era 1) but after I read Stormlight Archive that might change.
  13. Naming suggestions/ideas: You mentioned that it consumes blood, meaning it is hematophagous. You could definitely use this as part of a name. Secondly, it has three tentacles and three eyes. Something meaning three could be used in the name Lastly, it becomes very hot. Just an idea, but something like therm or thermal could be used. You mentioned earlier that it is alien. May I suggest the names: Hematotritherma, Trihermatotherma or Hematothermia (Hematotherm).
  14. Hi. I exist. I've actually been using this site for quite a while without an account. I am not very experienced with Brandon Sanderson's non-cosmere novels. But with the cosmere, I've read every book (excluding a few novellas such as: The Eleventh Metal or Dawnshard or Edgedancer) with the notable exception of The Stormlight Archive (which I will be starting later on in the month, I don't mind spoilers, and, indeed, already know most of the basic plotlines). But, yeah, I think that's about it.
