So glad I'm not the only one... Honestly, same. This is part of the reason I didn't cry for that scene (though the other reason was that I was kinda in shock ). But his character arc was pretty much complete, and he was finally at peace with himself. So somehow, despite how horrible it was, I was satisfied.

My brother started reading Mistborn a few days ago. He's all of one chapter in, but he's so into it already. Unfortunately, his confusion knows no bounds. Him: So when am I gonna find out about Allomancy wands? Me: *blank stare* What? Him: Allomancy wands! Me: Where did you hear about that??? Him: You. Me: *desperately flashes back, trying to find where I led him astray* Him: You and @Spren of Kindness were using them on Halloween. (Side note: Kindness and I dressed up as Mistborn for Halloween. We were using blue glow sticks like we were burning iron or steel.) Me: *remembers the glowsticks* Those... were not Allomancy wands. There's no such thing as Allomancy wands. Him: Then what were they? Me: *big sigh* Just read the book.

This is a really difficult choice, but I'm inclined to agree with @Quantus: era 2 has Wayne This is not to say that I don't love era 1; honestly I've changed my mind several times since finishing BOM and I think I'll continue to do so for all eternity.
