  1. Upon closer inspection, the Light swirled between colors, ranging from all of the Lights. It was faint––distant, even––but that much she could tell.
  2. I dunno why, but I just had violent flashbacks to the dream I had when I was taking a nap earlier.

It involved/mentioned Thaidakar – the Sharder, not the character – in the strangest way possible, and I don't know if I wanna share it, 'cause y'all will certainly think that my subconscious is weird if you already don't think so.

Bet....... well, I don't know about your subconscious, sooo lol.

Lemme set the scene: Some random nice day in the Pacific Northwest. All is well. I'm driving(?) home from watching my friend play in her musical production of Mamma Mia.

I'm minding my own business, probably listening to ABBA as I'm driving(?), when all of a sudden I see in the distance a car flying off a large hill – the thing about where I live is that there are a crap ton of hills, some of them being almost like a cliff lol. I think it broke the sound barrier, but I'm not exactly sure about that detail; let's just say yeah.

Anyways, I blink and kinda shrug and went back home without thinking much about it. As I came home, I pulled out my computer and saw a notification or something from Thaidakar. I thought: "What the heck?" and clicked on it, which went into detail about how he kinda sorta maybe got a little banned(????????????????????????) from the Shard for a year or something – I don't know, man – because he broke some speed, sonic boom, McDonalds, physics, American laws about something. And what I distinctly remember the ending of that status(?) thingy was something along the lines of: "K, thanks baiiiii xoxoxoxoxoxo."

I was confused as heck, because I didn't – and don't – think that the Shard bans people from the Shard for literally breaking the laws of physics by racing off an edge off one of the large hills of where I live, then making a status about it as if nothing happened and proceeds to get banned because he did that.

I went to ask the mods about 1) What the actual heck? and 2) how the frick do they figure out when people break the laws of physics. But I woke up.

I have no idea why my subconscious chose Thaidakar. You're just that special uwu

LOL that's awesome, I would totally break the laws of physics.

I am just that special apparently lol.

  3. I’m down. If ya need some help, I can give ya that.
  4. Somewhere below the city… was that…? A faint pinprick of Light. The colors weren’t entirely visible, so it was hard to determine the source or what it was of.
  5. Mors nodded in understanding. "If you say––" Sapphire finally came through, fighting through the black. "No," she gasped, the pain returning in waves. "I––" She gave it back to black, not wanting to deal with the pain. "It's either together," Mors muttered under their breath, "or not." Yulong whimpered, falling back into the darkness. "My apologies," they said, looking back up at Ellis. "You said Melody and Gerald, yes?"
  6. Ji remained silent, watching the conversation between the two. If he said anything to John, it would only label himself as a hypocrite. Instead, he looked down at his soup, taking bite after bite.
  7. “She’s not responding,” Mors answered, still staring at the ground as the blood dripped. Not well, at least. Mors reached out again, but she shied away, going deeper and darker. I can’t stay like this forever, he told her, feeling the their body shudder. Your body can’t handle it. So what if I die?! At least I’ll be free of this hellscape! she yelled, causing Mors to visibly flinch. What’s the point?! What’s the LIGHTN’ POINT?! THEY ALL BETRAY ME! THEY ALL DIE! IT’S ALL MY FAULT! Yulong, please listen. Their body shook violently, everything slowing. We need to be in harmony, or at least take control. No. Let me die! LET ME BE FREE. Mors looked up at Ellis. “You have to talk her back into control, Ellis,” they said, their voice distorting. “She’s not listening to me.”
  8. He ignored John and Elya, taking a bowl of soup. Ji carefully sipped the contents, then nodded, taking another sip. @xinoehp512
  9. They gasped again when the blade cut through their body. He felt it shudder as they fell to their hands and knees, wanting to give in, but he remained consistent in giving her strength. “Yulong,” they rasped, blood dripping from their mouth. But as soon as he prodded her, thoughts and memories overwhelmed them. He was right he was right he was right. How could I have been so stupid?! Why did I fall for the same trick?! He’s right. I can never love. It ends in betrayal. Death! Why why WHY?! Ko’ad, he was right. Why did I not believe him?! Why didn’t I learn?! Why–– I–– Images of Huoyan and Meznyx’s bodies flooded their view, lying dead in their own blood. Dead by her hand. Dead, because she once loved them. Her thoughts grew darker and darker, her mind finally breaking. Yulong was finally breaking. “Potens’ creations,” Mors’ swore softly, still remaining in control as their eyes widened. “She’s…”
  10. Ji walked out of the bathroom, scratching his head, his hair definitely more poofy than before. He found a new tank-top––thankfully not as bloodied as the other one. He held onto his soiled clothing, especially to the piece of paper. “What is it?” Ji placed his clothes on the counter, ruffling his hair.
  11. They kept attacking, very wary of Yulong’s strength. They held back a bit, giving her body some time to recover a bit. They can’t push her too much, not with that wound. Mors kept their defense up, giving a few wary jabs in here and there. Yulong, he said, are you able–– She pushed him back. Yulong, Mors said, gentler this time. Please. Are you… He trailed off, slowly realizing… She was crying. Oh, Potens. She was actually crying. He didn’t press, continuing their attack as he listened to her sobs in their head.
  12. “Alright then,” he said, shrugging. “If you need help, I’m here.” Ji shrugged again, scratched the back of his head, then started walking toward where Elya had said where the bathroom was.
  13. Ji looked at all of them, his trademarked scowl returning for a second at all the offers to cook before shaking his head. “Fine,” he said. “Lyanör can cook.” He reached down and picked up his hoodie, feeling the pocket and taking out a piece of paper. Ji scowled at it, reading it over, then folding it up. “You need some help, or you good?” he asked Elya, diverting his attention from the paper.
  14. She gasped, immediately hacking up blood. Pain blossomed where he stabbed her, growing by the second. He wouldn’t… he didn’t… he… Yulong, Mors said, may I? She pulled back willingly. Don’t–– I won’t. Both of her eyes turned pitch black. Mors brought up Thyella, twisting their blade to disarm the Dark Lord. They pulled away, coughing as the body shuddered. Mors poured in his strength, letting them ignore the wound for now. They heaved for breath, then stood taller, their posture changing in the blink of an eye. They brought up their blade to meet their eye, then re-engaged. Their style changed dramatically, turning into stances and moves that were almost forgotten, yet they used them as if they’ve always known them. They came in harder, swifter, and more precise.
  15. “And I survived and am fine,” he insisted. “I can only imagine how long you haven’t rested. You can’t keep going at this pace or your body will give out on you. “Just because you weren’t the one in mortal danger does not give you an excuse to skip out of resting.” Ji took a step to her, tilting his head slightly. “Give yourself time to rest. You don’t have to do everything right now.”
  16. Ji nodded as he looked over the whole place. He walked over to the couch, watching Lyanör run around like a toddler in a candy store. He sat down, pulling off his bloodstained hoodie to an equally stained tank top underneath. Tossing the hoodie on the ground in front of him, Ji ran a hand through his hair, exhaling deeply. “Why don’t you get some rest, Elya,” he said, standing up again. “I can take care of the food.”
  17. “If you say so.” Ji followed her, glancing down at the carpet, then looking back up.
  18. Well, lights. He didn’t think he would get this far. Ji nodded, his brow still knitting together. “What about mentally?”
  19. There we go, Mors said, lending a bit of his strength. That’s more like it. Power flowed through Q, one of her eyes taking on a darker hue. She reacted faster, thought clearer, moved quicker. It was a bit more difficult, but she remained in Fángyù, deflecting strike after strike before thrusting in her own, making her way towards the amulet… or where she thought the amulet to be.
  20. Ji surveyed the elevator. Certainly been in better ones, he mused, but not certainly the worst. His eyes fell on Elya, his brow twitching together. Ji slowly made her way to her, leaning on the wall to try to look into her eyes. “Are you okay?” he asked softly.
  21. Holding back, Mors judged as she switched to Fángyù. Waiting to see what I’ll do, she agreed, deflecting a strike. Much like Adrian? Mmm. Q brought up her blade, taking another strike from the Dark Lord. Except he doesn’t appear to know me. Hmm… What about the Threads? Q leapt back, dodging a swing. Not yet, she said, parrying another strike. What did that person say about the amulet? Shatter. Then that’s what we’ll do.
