  1. "So... I could just leave?"
  2. @IcedOutPenguin @Spark of Hope @CoderDrag0n8 I don't really know. There was a fire?
  3. "What about Revi? They seemed quite paranoid about me leaving."
  4. "Would Vellulu be upset if I left?"
  5. "I was lying about most of that. I just wanted to talk."
  6. that gold Twinborn was cool but like did we need a steel&f-steel and a "time bending" bubble thing (I thought that was out of place, I really liked the dynamic between Atium, gold, electrum and malatium)
  7. I thought Venli had a satisfying finish in Wind and Truth, one I genuinely did not see coming. And Venli really resonates with me, not because of the Parshendi (I don't really care about them) but moreso because we got a different viewpoint on things and because the emotions that Venli suffers are genuine. They weren't much good, in my opinion. I don't like Scandrial much and I really don't like the idea of having to rely on Twinborn for interesting characters
  8. Mistborn 1 wasn't bad but reading the Wayne & Wax books was like becoming an Aluminum Savant
  9. I respect and acknowledge your view. I like Stormlight Archive for all the things you mentioned. But for me, the grand scale makes it less strong. For example, I sometimes find it difficult to really care about some of the character viewpoints when reading Stormlight for the first time (specifically Shallan at first, because Kaladin had peak chapters and Dalinar/Adolin both had interesting chapters too). This is especially the case with some of the interlude characters (minus venli, who doesn't love Venli), as I just don't see why they're important (then again, some interludes, like Lift's one in OB? WoR? Are amazing). But that's just an overarching flaw with the format of lots of characters as a whole, and detracts from the experience.
  10. "Every coin is forged from flame." Violette said, still gazing. "Therefore I should be too. There is this idea called tempering, that both humans and coins grow stronger through challenge, and only then can they achieve true power. The flames represent all challenge I've ever faced."
  11. "For me, the flames represent the past."
  12. "You can't fathom that?"
  13. I am an open minded individual
  14. Yeah but most fires aren't green "What does the fire mean to you?"
  15. Yumi is an amazing standalone in all aspects, unfortunately Stormlight is too large to have that
  16. Yumi was better than the entire Stormlight archive
  17. Have you not read yumi
  18. "But is it now?" I was unaware the fire was green.
