  1. Personally, my guess is that Ishar already has claimed, and the vote-manip on me was a way to prove it (since it didn't actually appear to do anything). SfS did the same thing to prove to Danex that they were a vote-maniper in MR46.
  2. Um yes there are. Ishar's? Edit: I'm doing everything wrong this turn apparently... Double-posting... voting... voting for the GM
  3. I'm SORRY okay XD I'm not used to this! This is the first such game where I've been able to discuss stuff during the night but not vote....
  4. Anyway, I've decided I'm thoroughly sick of ties and of bandwagoning, so I'm going to go back to my original vote last cycle, Gears. EDIT: IGNORE THIS PLEASE I"M SO STUPID XD Edit: I'm going to end up doing this every Night, aren't I...
  5. Go read one of my previous posts, saving me doesn't make sense because whoever did it wouldn't have until the end of the cycle, and they would also have been on to realize I wouldn't be in any danger and to retract their action to save Stormlight. That's true no matter who submitted the action. Also, you're incorrect about Kaladin, because they have both a Day action and a Night action, so they have a total of six opportunities to submit Surge actions between highstorms, but each storm only gives them 3 Light. So they actually do have to ration.
  6. Oh wait I'm smart XD I somehow mixed up Ventyl and XP... Edit: Also, again, Danex's Blade had Cohesion on it, which adds a vote. We've only got vote cancellations here, if you look at the tallies vs. who voted.
  7. It couldn't have been Ventyl--they had Pailiah's Blade, so Illumination and Progression. I asked Ash in PMs a while back if a person who had multiple Blades would be announced as the Bearer of all of them when they died, and he said yes, so Ventyl doesn't have any other Blades or abilities either. Edit: Sorry for the double-post...
  8. Exactly. And before anyone says that it was Kaladin trying to protect elim!me, keep in mind that the votes on me only started to really appear towards the end of the cycle (STINK's had just been sitting there, and I was one of like five people who had one vote on them), so if Kaladin had removed a vote from me when it looked like I might have enough to be in danger, they would have also been there to take back the action and save Stormlight when it became clear that Ventyl or XP would be lynched, not me.
  9. So... someone didn't want Ventyl to die, apparently. Edit: Wait, someone removed a vote from me? What? But I wasn't in any danger of dying... why would... I'm so confused.
  10. Uhhhhh I've only played two complete games so I have no idea what you're talking about. My first one I was elim but I barely said anything, so there wasn't exactly much room for me to be defensive there.
  11. Yes, hmmmm, let's ask ourselves why that is... Oh, right, maybe I seem more defensive this game compared to last because last game nobody accused me of being an elim, ever, so there was no reason for me to be defensive in the first place. Yes please? This game is too interesting for me to die D2...
  12. I'm still confused as to how my playstyle is different, beyond what you would expect given that this time I'm not hiding the important secret of being the one who RBd Gears, and give that I'm not being hopelessly pocketed by Gears either.
  13. *sigh* okay then Experience you guys are going to pursue this until one of the three of us dies, and I don't want the first one to be me. If XP flips elim I assume you guys will think I bussed them, so whatever, vote me out--at least I'll have helped remove one elim.
  14. I brought up Ventyl and XP because they were at the time the only two with more than one vote on them, so if I decided to try to consolidate the lynch more, I'd need to vote one of them. Araris also has two votes now, but I don't have a read on them one way or another and I don't want to jump on a train just 'cause someone else did (I've done enough of that already, and I usually end up changing my mind at some point after I do it, sometimes once it's too late already).
  15. So, there are two hours left until rollover and the vote count is currently: Experience(3): Matrim, Books, Lotus Ventyl(2): Araris, Illwei Somebody(1): TJ Fura(1): Ventyl Araris(1): Experience Quinn(1): STINK Connie(1): Fura Gears(1): Quinn I don't like the idea of the votes being so spread out like this, but I also don't really have a reason to vote for Experience other than to solidify the lynch and keep the elims from changing it, and if I voted Ventyl (though I don't have a reason for that either) I'd put us in a tie. Again. I'm sure Alv would love it if I did that, but I'd rather not, if that's all the same to everyone else.
  16. @Ookla's Dice Remind me again what your reasoning for voting XP was? I vaguely remember that it was right at the beginning of the turn, but I'm too lazy to go find what you said oof
  17. You are officially the second person to accuse me of sounding consistently elim this game (the first being Illwei, who called me "TWTBAW", or "Too Wolfy to be a wolf"). I honestly have no idea how I sound, though... Also, I'm still curious what open-wolfing actually means. Edit: @Ookla's Dice who do you think would be a good lynch then? Edit 2: Looking back a couple of pages, I do find it kind of odd that Ventyl says they haven't noticed me do anything sus, when Matrim, Illwei, you, and to some extent Araris and STINK have all told me I seem elim. I could be reading into that way too much though oof
  18. What is open-wolfing? Yes, I'm new--this is my third game (or fourth if you count the current QF as my third, since it'll end before this one does). Also I haven't actually calculated the odds that Kalak's Blade miraculously landed in the hands of someone with Stormlight, but I think it would be... 4/11, or around 36%? Okay, now I have calculated the odds. Assuming neither of the secret roles get Stormlight, that neither Kaladin nor Szeth started with a Blade, the Stone Shaman didn't start with a Blade, and that each person started with a maximum of one Blade, the probability that Kalak's Blade is currently held by someone who can use it is 36% (since 9 people started with Stormlight, one died, and there are now 22 people in the game). The probability would be lower if Kaladin, Szeth, or the Stone Shaman started with a Blade, or if people started with more than one Blade, since fewer than 9 would have started with Stormlight. It would also be lower if someone has used up the Stormlight they started with already. It would be higher if one or both of the secret roles started with Stormlight. (Edit: or if Tension has been used on someone who didn't have Stormlight before). But, 36%? There's a 2/3 chance that Kalak's Blade is out of commission until D4. I don't know how useful that actually is lol but I was curious, so now you all know. Anyway, there are still almost certainly two other vote-manips out there. so you're still right that we need to shore up the lynch. So with that in mind I'd be willing to join the lynch on Ventyl, unless you think it likely that you can convince others to join me in voting Gears. I don't think Connie/Grammar is elim. Edit: I messed up the name of the Blade in my original post (Katak instead of Kalak) so I've fixed that now
  19. Well, it probably isn't all of those three--I doubt that half or more of the elims would ever get on the same train. This train of thought is "if the elims were trying to save their teammate" so obviously Connie would be an elim in that scenario (which still doesn't seem likely to me, but as a thought experiment I'll consider it). That leaves probably one of Alv or Gears as elim. Since Alv was the one who really started the Danex train, I'd think it was him, except that apparently RNG is his play-style so it could just as easily have been elim!Gears taking advantage of village!Alv's love of chaos. Thinking about it, though, I think it's possible that the elims could have chosen to kill Matrim so that we would think of precisely this line of inquiry and possibly pursue a mislynch on Connie. Not super likely, but at this point none of the individual scenarios seem super likely to me.
  20. Well, yes, but it also makes sense that Danex would use his ability on himself, since he wanted to die to the lynch and that was a way of ensuring that it happened.
  21. lol it's fine; the write-up itself didn't point that out--I noticed that there's only one Blade with Cohesion when I was writing a post somewhere in this thread. At least it means we're certain about some things... Unfortunately, though, all of them have to do with someone who's dead.
