  1. Just... Snapped? Perhaps he would get it eventually. Young stood up and got his bearing before pointing to the middle of the shattered plains. "We need to go that way."
  2. Luke pokes his head into the giant hole in the house.
  3. Young watched as Alena forced the stone back into the ground with curious eyes. "How do you know what to do? To get your power to work?"
  4. "Sounds like as good a plan as any."
  5. "Right. I believe I can deal with it if need be but a wall would be preferable." And Luke was keeping an eye on that grenade. It would be risky, but he could try and knock it away. He would need more mental speed, and that meant less emotion. Even smarter Luke knew that it was best to not have to resort to that. He would be unbearable for hours.
  6. "Luke." "No, we can do this, but I need more information. Can either of you tell me what he can do?"
  7. "No time, just keep working on that wall. I don't feel like dying today."
  8. Luke was staring at the fight until it occurred to him. Oh wait, my aspect. Luke sucked in some of the emotions of everyone around him, feeling himself become more capable mentally. He could comprehend what was going on around him, he could recall information with better precision, he could think faster. Thinking fast was very important at times like these. With an inhumanly quick survey of the situation, his accelerated thought process led him to the conclusion that running away from this foe would be preferable. That grenade could probably pierce Luke's Veil, and he wouldn't be able to get in with his sword if he has to worry about his foe pulling a grenade on him. Unfortunately, he couldn't just leave Lloyd here after tagging along, So instead he decided to op into hiding behind the ice wall with the ice girl and... What was that? Luke hadn't noticed it before, but swore he could see black lines, almost like veins running up and down her. Had he ever heard anything about this? Not right now, there is a man with a gun. Luke rolled behind the ice wall.
  9. "My power is... I have only gotten it to work once on accident, but It's like, I can learn the history of something by thinking about it. The point is, there are ruins in the center of this land form and there are people living there."
  10. "Um, perhaps we should follow Death. He went that way." Luke points back the way they came.
  11. Young racked his brain. What had he done to trigger his power? What had he been doing, exactly? Thinking back on it, he had been sitting down, thinking about how the plateaus were made. So, perhaps if he just did that, he could do it for other things? Got it. Young started concentrating. How had they gotten here? What had brought them here? And... Nothing. Damn, I thought that would have worked. Perhaps he wasn't doing it right. Maybe it doesn't work on things that don't have a history. He went over what he had learned about this landscape, called the shattered plains, was originally apart of a Silver kingdom called Natanatan. In the center was a town called Stormseat, which is now in ruins, inhabited by a group of strange looking humans called Listeners. Civilization. Based on what this knowledge seemed to be telling them, the ruins were northeast of here. "Guys, I may have just found us civilization."
  12. Luke pokes Lloyd in the back, "Hey, I wasn't paying attention. Mind telling me what we are doing?"
  13. It took him a second to realize they were talking to him. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just- A lot has happened recently. You," He gestures to Alena, "Started flying, and it all got strange. I just need a second."
  14. Young had stopped paying attention to the others. Instead, he was looking at the plateaus. Why was the ground shattered like that? What had happened here? Then, like a tsunami, it hit. He was temporarily dazed as his brain suddenly had a massive amount of information stuffed into it, too much for him to handle at once. Upon re-evaluation, he could describe what had happened here. He had found his power. Now, why would he need to know all this?
  15. The Wanderers are hype. Especially since they are kinda my peeps (And Fadran's I guess) Anyway, lets see here... 82 power. I think I want to save to 100, so I am going to save.
  16. Luke falls over backwards, throwing his hands in front of his face as the armored figure crashes into the door, throwing splinters everywhere. What is he doing?! Luke hit the ground hard, a shock going through his body. Luke groaned and rolled onto his stomach, searching for Silk. Silk had only landed a small distance away when he had been tossed from his shoulder. He was already standing. Can a fall even hurt him? Luke got his elbows under him and watched for what had happened to the stranger.
  17. "Oh. I mean, I'm pretty sure I am bonded to Silk." Luke scratches the back of his head, "Anyway, you were also drawn to this house?"
  18. Luke blinks. "An Amberite? do you also have something following you around? Look, I don't know anything about this house, My... Silk led me here." He glances at Silk, the implication clear. Can you do that? Silk shakes his head, then slaps his wrist. Not yet.
  19. "Um... I'm Luke. And this place is..." Luke racked his brain If he is asking about the building, maybe he knows something? There is no way to know for sure, and I'm definitely not going to ask him... "Nothing Special?" A quick glance at his shoulder let him see Silk's disappointing gaze. He was a terrible liar.
