    "Ok!" Caden sat up, trying to shrug Riva off of him, "that's more than enough." ------ Fischer paused, getting a good look at the other man's face. "It is you," he said in a hushed voice. "Nicolae?"

    Caden grumbled, not wanting Riva to actually get off of him, but still voicing his dislike for this situation. ---- "I-" FIscher shook his head slightly after a brief pause, "no." Fischer was at a loss for words, unable to think of the best way to voice his thoughts.

    Pior chuckled, "knowing you, hot boy, we'll be running five minutes late." He winked at Vivace, "just to spice things up. Can't have his lady-friend thinking he's boring now, eh?"

    "I do not," Caden protested, even though that wasn't entirely true. "I just want to know how much longer you intend to force yourself on me." Fischer stretched now that he was out of sight of those palace guards but his head was hanging low despite the stretching. He liked looking professional and all, but that wasn't why he had come out here so late. He couldn't help himself from glancing over his shoulder, the eyes of expectation seemingly always on him. He sighed, unable to use this valuable off-duty time to rest or tend to him weapons like the others on the Praetorium Guard, that would mean he'd have to stay in the barracks with the true Praetorium Guard. He groaned as he thought of them, applauding him for such a wondrous achievement that he hadn't even earned. Well, not on his own, anyway. He started to roll his shoulders, but paused as he saw a figure ahead of him. He straightened his back and adopted the professional stance that had been drilled into him from basic training. However, as he stepped closer, he squinted. He thought that he recognized the man he was approaching, but he was filled with uncertainty. The person wasn't wearing a Praetorium uniform, and Fischer didn't know anyone on the palace staff. Well, that wasn't entirely true, but it also wasn't entirely wrong, either. He cleared his throat, trying to use it to clear his own mind. When he was drawing close to the man, he nodded his head towards him, but hesitated mid step. He struggled to think of a way to get the man's attention before clearing his throat. "Sir, are you supposed to be out here?"

    "How long do you intend to do this?" He asked as he felt his back moving in correlation with Riva's massaging. He could no longer will himself to shift or move from his current position, finding himself completely in the Raveness's power.

    "I wouldn't worry about it too much," Pior said without looking up. "Ol' Hot eyes knows what he's up to. Most of the time, that is."

    "Of course I do," Caden told her, sounding offended. "I'd be a fool to not do so."

    Caden grumbled, not wanting to admit that Riva was right as he laid back down to let her do her work.

    "Cracking is not a good thing," he tried to adjust himself so he could meet Riva's eyes. "Why the Maal would it ever be a good thing?"

    "What did you do?" Caden asked as he shot up, startled by the momentary shock of the crack. He relaxed as it was very quickly accompanied by more relief in his shoulders, but he wasn't about to let it go. "If you think that I'm going to let you do whatever you want back there, then you're greatly mistaken."

    Caden lifted his head, "what about them?"

    "The shirt stays on," Caden growled at her. Although he wasn't sure on what to do about the whole laying down part, so he didn't try to move out the chair. The relief that came over him kept him from even thinking of shifting from his position.

    Caden growled in hostility at first, but they slowly turned to groaning as the pain wasn't relieved immediately, but she seemed to be slowly working it out of him. His posture melted gradually, with his back trying to remain firm against her touch, but even that slowly gave in. It was only then that he felt that he should shove her off somehow, only to acknowledge that to act now would be to act too late.

    "I'm sorry, but there's only so much I'm willing to let the woman who drugged me last night do." Caden tried to sit back into the chair again, but grimaced and leaned forward instead.

    "If you have to touch me, then absolutely not."

    Caden glared at Riva, "what manner of witchcraft do you intend to do?"

    "I'm taking the bed tonight, but I wo-" Caden groaned, his back tearing away his attention with a sudden pain.

    Caden rotated his head, feeling cracks and pops through out his neck as he did so. "Yes, here we are."

    Caden paused, concerned that the thought hadn't occurred to him. He carried on, "I'm a feared general with the bloodiest blade that you'll ever see, I'm not 'cute.'"

    Caden groaned, the sudden outburst giving him a mild headache. "I suppose you would, which is a very comforting thought." Along with everything else us Praetoriums worked for, all because you were forced to marry one man. The thought caused him to feel sicker in his gut than he anticipated. He would have to approach the King about that subject, he couldn't just sit by and watch someone as undeserving as the Raveness get it all because of some foolish marriage.

    "Seeing as there's an apparent lack of heirs, you could do whatever you pleased with this estate if the 'immortal torturess' somehow managed to outlive the aging general."

    "Actually, yes." Caden straightened his back, besides the pains and sores. "Far more preferable to dying in a chair, unable to move on your own."

    Caden scoffed, "you truly expect me to become one of those useless old buffoons who spends their days doing nothing useful?"

    Caden waved aside the comment with his hand, scoffing. "I have no skill for such things."

    Caden sat up, looking offended. "I'm not lying. What else could you see me doing, other than fighting wars for my king?"
