  1. Vulpine didn't turn to face the man, instead focusing entirely on the woman that was before him. "I have to say, you're easily the prettiest woman in this entire mine. And definitely the sexiest."
  2. 'Oh, absolutely none, madam. But seeing that the gift to rule is a gift from god, people mean to compliment others by saying that they could be given that gift based off of looks alone."
  3. "Royalty, perhaps?" Vulpine's grin never left his face. "A woman as beautiful as yourself must be royalty." ------ The Corpse followed behind her, glaring at the back of her head. What was that? She had him in her pocket. All she had to do was ask him to go with her for a few moments, and the narrator could be killed without much trouble.
  4. A strange, snorting sound came from the decaying creature.
  5. The creature glared at the young Narrator, but stayed silent. Whatever Star was going to do to him, it better be quick.
  6. The Corpse watched from about 10 feet over Star's shoulder, curious as to how she would end this Narrator.
  7. The Corpse allowed itself to be pulled behind her. It's hand was limp in her grip, and the skin cold to the touch. It twitched at being in the presence of so many Narrators, obviously uncomfortable, given its purpose.
  8. Vulpy chuckled, a smile spreading across his face as he brightened. "You drive a hard bargain, pal." Stepping forward, he offered the package of food to the man. "Best not forg-" The newcomer paused before pushing the package into the miner and looking towards Night's Blossom. "Whoa, and who are you, my Lovely Lady?" @Fallapede The Corpse withdraw its spikes in an instant. It had told Star staying was a bad idea, and these "Enullers" would almost certainly be back.
  9. Vulpy clicked his tongue, and waved his finger in a disapproving manner. "Now, now. Why should I reward friends who forget my existence?"
  10. "Well, I also suppose you don't remember the rations I went and grabbed for you." He shifted slightly, revealing a package behind his back. "Shame no one will know it's missing."
  11. "My friends," he said with an overdramatic eye roll, "it's Vulpy to you. Jeez, you seriously don't remember anything?"
  12. "Oh please," he waved the comment away with a smile. "I take a five minute break, and everyone forgets that I'm Vulpine." Without needing a second cue, the Corpse launched into action, choosing to attempt a body tackle against the newcomer as every bone in its body shot shards of Mordite through its skin. Every spine tore through whatever it came into contact with ease, the floor beneath the creature beginning to decay as countless scratches were etched into the floor.
  13. "Ho there!" A gangly man walked down the hallway, obviously another slave. But even for a slave, he was unkept and unruly. Although most importantly, he clearly hadn't been around this part of the mine, before. Regardless, he smiled broadly at the folk who were gathered, his demeanor as if he were approaching lifelong friends. "You guys started without me!"
  14. Silver looked towards the individual, raising a curious eyebrow. "I'll admit, I've never heard the word "Chaosed" used like that before."
  15. The creature growled deeply in its rotting throat, trying to intimidate the Enuller. "That's . . . " Its voice barely formed words on a tongue that had rarely tasted them. "The idea . . ." These gods and goddesses we're rarely reminded of their own mortality. Now that the Corpse had the power to kill them, to remind them that death can claim all, it did not intend to let them forget.
  16. At the moment of contact, the Corpse danced away. It studied Grace for only a moment before lunging forward again. It jabbed towards the Enuller in rapid succession, making the dance of combat into a brutal engagement with no regard for its own safety. It lunged and struck aggressively, taking no care for defense as it pressed Grace in an attempt to force her to focus completely on it.
  17. The Corpse snapped into action, its rotting limbs moving faster than the beat of a heart. A shard of its Mordite skeleton piercing up and through its hand, puncturing the lifeless skin with ease. Without any hesitation, it jabbed directly for the Enuller's heart.
  18. The creature offered a sideways glare towards the "Mime." Its posture shifting in a subtle way that only the most observant could see, it prepared to strike. It knew it was a bad idea to stay around, if only the emotional Narrator had listened to it.
  19. The Corpse moved forward, touching a decaying hand to the barrier before turning towards Star. This did not seem like someone who was as harmless as Star made them out to be.
  20. The Corpse moved to be right on the Narrator's heels, disliking the idea of being alone in the Hall.
  21. The Corpse shifted slightly, its bones threatening to pierce its skin. Star It thought her name clearly, trying to draw her attention to the fact that nothing would come from this conversation. Nothing worthwhile, that is. They should leave before her emotions made things worse.
  22. Danger. The thought burned clear through the creature's mind. It didn't understand what exactly this "Mine" could do, so it wanted to be far away from it until they knew.
  23. The creature glared, insisting on the sensed danger. Staying would mean delays, perhaps even death for the two of them.
