He curses as he slips forward, hitting his head on his own Line of Forbiddance's barrier, accompanied by a large thump. He curses for a second time before his body splays face-down. He tries to stand up, but almost immediately falls backwards. He gives up and kicks the barrier, making him fly away from the door. Unfortunately, he misjudges quite how little friction there is, which causes him to fly to the other side of the room and hit his shoulder hard on the opposing wall. @kenod @Negative_Null @turtle @Rushu42

Looking at the poll why can't we do both the guild plot and the alternate universe plot? They could work quite well together.

Cursing, the man jumps out of the way of the table- luckily, he hadn't managed to cover that section with a Line of Forbiddenance yet, but he manages to close off the rough semicircle, making a impassable barrier of force around the door.

"Now what have I gotten myself into now?" he muses to himself. "Only a week inside the city, and you've already managed to walk right into a grand conspiracy..." Then the Executor arrives. As the door is smashed, the newcomer spins around, a piece of chalk already clutched in his fingers. Seeing the monstrosities at the door, he curses and starts to draw lines of forbiddance, trying to block off the door from the... whatever they were.

A tall, older man walks in, wearing a black coat. He has something almost like a utility belt around his waist, and he has a small goatee on his chin. Upon entering and seeing a woman with metal gloves speaking with a purple cowering alien and another woman talking to an literal rope, he worriedly says "Oh dear. Have I come at a bad time?"

He nods approvingly. Once they get to the Agency itself, Calarian strolls into the backroom.

Seeing the look on Magnolia's face, he says "I assure you, madam, that I was not entirely willing when this thing was installed into me..." He shivers a little. "But, I might as well use it than let it go to waste, don't you think?"

Cal raises an eyebrow. "We should definitely still charge, even at after a failed case. If we fail, that could be a couple weeks down the drain without any coin to show for it. Especially if we turned down other cases that could of earned us money. It would be lowered, of course."

He leans in and whispers so their customers can't hear, and says "I suspect Mike there's been tortured in some way. The way he describes this man and his amnesia- it just seems suspicious. I haven't asked him about it yet, however. Oh, almost forgot- how much are we charging?"

Once a good ways away from the tower, he turns to his two employers. "Don't get your hopes too high. Something about that doesn't feel right- it was too easy. Our knowledge of this man is so broad he could be mistaken for a hundred others."

Anyway, would a small, mostly NPC guild like this warrant it's own thread or would it be a background thing only called upon when needed?
