  1. He laughs. "Ha! No, my companion here is the cleric. I'm just a simple warrior."
  2. "How much more?"
  3. @mathiau KePuur turns to the men, giving them some extra boxings. "Just leave us. We have no quarrels with you."
  4. He gapes for a moment, before rubbing his temples. "You know what I meant."
  5. Walking up to the two men, KePuur apologizes, saying "Excuse us. She's with us- unfortunately, she had an accident a couple years ago and hasn't been quite right in the head." he hands them some boxing and nods. He then turns to Marie, and whispers "I will have Adilie put you on such a tight leash that you have to get permission from her to blink, understand?"
  6. "Ah! Uh.. hush. Shh. Calm down, please don't burn my apartment down, okay?"
  7. "Moooom! Joey went home sick and Granny Newell went home. But, ah, we have another problem..."
  8. "Maybe not, but it's none of your business, and I doubt you could do it any better."
  9. "But... but you're a child! This is adult business. Go home!"
  10. @Fallapede "Wait. Who are you? Why did you follow us?"
  11. Devan whispers to Xasah, "Just stay silent, okay? Don't make any sarcastic comments, no matter how tempting, okay?" "Hehe, okay. I promise."
  12. "Of course I am. What, do you think I was just going to stay in this tavern and have a drink?"
  13. "But... what? Is this a normal thing? Why are you so calm? Here, just-" but he just walked away. She follows, pulling a piece of green cloth. She creates a small green spine about the size of her pointer finger, the color draining out of a small piece of the cloth about the same size as the spine. Once they reach the stable and Rose is set down, Kess kneels and plunges the spine into her arm. At that moment, every scratch, bruise, or other injury heals- but Rose doesn't wake up, and only about half of the spine goes clear. She curses, saying "It's not physical in any way. That would of done it."
  14. "Yes, yes. Supposedly I am. However, I'm always the controllee and not the controller, when these sort of situations happen."
  15. @Shard of ThoughtT @Lecky TwigT "Hey, wait!" She says as they begin to leave. "Is it my cut of the pay? I'll only take 10%-" but then she just collapsed. She just collapsed. She gasps and steps back. "Is she okay? Do I need to get some green?"
  16. "Ah! I would be happy to only take a small percentage of the pay- this is less for the money, and more for the experience!" Kess was a little spooked that this man just expected for her to be here- he probably just got some information on her, yes. And why complain? Now she wouldn't have to work that hard to find a job! "Why not? I assure you, I will be very useful! Watch!" She puts her hands together, and then as she pulls them away from each other, a clear rod appears between her palms.
  17. Kess was looking for something very specific in this nice little town out in the little of nowhere. Okay, that wasn't quite giving it enough credit- it was quite big and bustling, for a town out here. It was just tiny compared to where she was. As she turned the corner, she saw her goal: a nice, rundown tavern. Lots of angry, only a little poor people who want other people dead. Perfect for a bounty hunter like her. She burst into the tavern, white cape swinging and a shining shard of glass saved in her belt. When no one even turns an eye, she frowns a little. She really tried with that dramatic entrance- perhaps a little more turn, to get that extra movement next time? She scans the room, looking for groups to help. That one's too shady, that one's too angry- aha! There. A nice looking pair, standing up. Perfect! She floats over. "Greetings, friends! I am Kess Kerendottir. Tell me, could you use a fighter?"
  18. He just stays silent, looking embarrassed, with Devan looking equal embarrassed for him.
  19. "I just don't thi-" he pauses for a moment, looks at the enormous dragon, winces, and proceeds to not say anything more.
  20. "Excuse me, but I don't think it's particularly smart to claim to be wiser than beings that are older than civilization, Warden."
  21. "The Guardians... they mentioned an oath the ironclads took to not enter these mountains... why did they break them now?"
  22. "I don't know, you're the mind-controller here."
