  1. "Welcome to the show, Mr. Uh. . . This is. . . Um. . . I’m Bob. I think? I don’t know. You can call me. . . Uh. . . Bob smith Jeff. Or just bob. Yeah, that. Just bob! What solution do you propose?"
  2. Fox gasped as she felt Winter entering her brain. Ack, the darned creature, she was about to demand for him to leave her mind, but then something happened. Fox felt the ingot of light and warmth being ripped out of her soul. From the depths of everything that was Fox, a guttural scream erupted, that would cause those miles around to freeze in pity or fear. Fox fell to her knees as she experienced two things. The pain and the rage and the hatred that replaced the ingot ricocheted through the Fox in a horrible agony beyond belief. She thought she had experienced emotional pain when her brother died? That was like a stubbed toe when compared to what was happening now. The scream did not stop, she could not stop it, she could not control it, it just happened. It slowed for a moment, allowing Fox to hiccup and take a desperate breath, before starting up again. Something else tortured her as well, a deeply rooted physical torment sprouting from her head, spreading to every part of her body with no relief. It was burning hot coals, but freezing as an igloo, at the same time, as if she were being burned, and frozen to death at the same time. The scream turned into coughing, and then Fox began convulsing on the ground. @DramaQueen @Channelknight Fadran
  3. Ah, the perfect chance to escape. Everyone was distracted. She looked at Fadran and Queen. Fox pointed at them, then pointed at herself, and then pointed with both of her thumbs behind her, signifying that they should leave. She sighed, and closed her eyes. How would they leave.... how would they get out of this pickle.... How had Nath gotten to her? Didn't he say something about using the bond? Could she use that ingot of warmth to get to Nath? She opened her eyes, nobody was really paying much attention to her, it would probably be ok.... Winter seemed to not want to kill her, so nobody would get her while she tuned them out... Fox closed her eyes again, letting the world around her to fade away once more. She had been drained from what she had tried before, could she do it again? She dismissed the fatigue, it would be fine. Fox focused on that ingot of light once more, imagining herself seeing Nath talking to the others, how she wanted to hear what he was saying, how betrayed she had felt that he had not let her into the discussion. How Fox had wanted to be closer to him, to listen. She focused on those desires, to return to Nath, to hear his encouraging words. I need to get back to him, Fox told herself. Yes, step through that door, escape from this desolation. 'Go back... go back... go back.....' Fox absent-mindedly muttered as she focused on returning to Nath. @KyL
  4. Fox's hand gripped her knife handle tightly. She did not like the way things were going.
  5. "Y-you're dead?" The girl's large brown eyes stared straight into Fox's soul. "So... you're a ghost, that only exists if I want you to?" Fox stared more deeply into the girl's eyes. She was absolutely gorgeous. "So wait, how do you know Winter?"
  6. Fox huffed, before turning to Yami. "Ok, Yami, I know that you're Yami," the girl grew more tangible, "but what are you? Are you a figment of my imagination?" The girl became translucent, almost, as if she wasn't even there. @KyL
  7. "Uh.... ok...." Fox scratched the back of her head. "what do you want me to do?" @DramaQueen @KyL
  8. "Oh, uh, Yami. I guess. She wants me to stay." Fox said to Queen pointing at the girl. As she said the name Yami, the girl seemed to grow even more real looking. @DramaQueen
  9. A spark of panic lighted in Fox, did Queen know? No, there would be no way. Wait, had Nath told her? Was that what he had been doing? No, no, there was no way she could have known. Couldn't she? Thisw as going to drive her insane. Relief began to resurface when Queen didn't get angry. Yes, she couldn't know, otherwise she would be yelling at Fox right now. Unless this was a trap... Fox would just have to trust Nath's judgement on this person. "Yes, let's..." Fox looked back at the girl. "What do you mean? Does that mean if I leave you won't follow me? I mean, mentally of course. I mean, what are you?"
  10. "I-I don't know, to both of those. Nath teleported me away from Winter before, but I think it almost killed him..." Well.... that, and something else almost killed him... Fox glanced at her feet for a moment, accidentally allowing the overwhelming guilt to surface for half a second, before recomposing herself and looking back at Queen and Fadran. "We should probably go, though, before Winter returns." @KyL
  11. Fox’s eyes snapped back to Fadran as he spoke. He probably thought she was crazy. This girl had to be another mind demon. “Uh-hum.... Fadran!?” Hopefully it would be taken as a delayed reaction
  12. Fox spun around as two of the group showed up. Then the weird... thing took her hand. Ahh! It was cold! Fox’s hand shied away, but she looked to see if this mind demon had a face. As she searched for a face, the girl seemed to become more tangible. Fox squinted her eyes. Yes... the girl was... beautiful. Fox blinked. “Your skeletons??” @DramaQueen @Channelknight Fadran @KyL
  13. "WAIT!" Fox yelled right as Winter was leaving. "Gah! I hate it when he does that!" She spun around as she heard something.... off. Something that did not seem quite... right. Giggling? Oh dear, it had to be another mind demon. It asked something. What was this? It didn't feel quite real, like a mind demon, yet it didn't feel completely false either... "storming mind demon," she muttered. For now, Fox would ignore this mind demon; it wasn't too annoying. Yet. It didn't seem her message had gone through earlier to Nath, perhaps she would try again. She sat down, facing the sea. Fox closed her eyes, allowing the world to fade around her. She was not in a desolated gosh-forbidden place, but she was back, hugging Nath, telling him that she trusted him. That moment when she had shown great weakness. Storms, Fox was so dang weak. She had to go out and trust the first person she met. No, she trusted Nath for a reason. He had proven himself. He had tried, when others quit. He had cared for how she felt, even when he was on the brink of death. That was Nath. She reached out for him, Fox wanted to send a message to that Nath right there. Fox needed to send a message. Nath. I'm ok. She thought. Nath. I'm ok. She thought intensely, the words tangible, she knew them, she wanted them, she had them, they appeared in her head.... but... she didn't believe them. Fox sighed. What did she believe? Nath, I will be ok! Nope. Nath, I'm alive. That, she believed. For the most part. Fox took another deep breathe in, and then out. She cleared her mind of all thoughts. Every time, though, it seemed that more and more would begin leaking back into her brain. Agh! GET OUT! She thought. Darn. Now her head was full of anger. Fox slowed her breathing and her heart rate, a handy trick she learned for when sneaking. She let everything filter away.... into abyss... before... NATH! I'M ALIVE! Fox screamed into her mind, letting it fill every nook and cranny of her brain, before focusing all of it onto that one ingot, that one part of her that never left. It had to be connected to Nath. She flooded that one bit with everything that she had, with all of the strength she had. Her eyes snapped open as her emotions and senses rushed back. The fatigue smacked into her like a belly flop off the high dive as Fox returned to reality. @Nathrangking @KyL
  14. Fox squeezed her eyes shut. Why would Winter do this? Fox guessed she never really knew him, just that he was her angel. But now, Nath said that he was evil. She trusted Nath, didn't she? Yes, she did. Winter was... evil. Nath! Help! She thought, imagining her thoughts to be carried to Nath. Would it work? She didn't know. Maybe she shouldn't have tried to send something so distressing. Stupid Fox. Nath already knew she needed help. Fox focused on that warm ingot of strength Nath had given her. She thought again, Nath! It's ok, you'll be ok, I'm ok, I think. Although, I kind of want to go home. Fox still didn't know if it went through or not, but at least she tried.
  15. "May I ask who's calling?"
  16. "WINTER!?" Fox screeched partly in fear, partly in anger, and partly in confusion, trying to grasp onto the metal hand that held her firmly. "LET. ME. GO!"
  17. A tear slid down Fox's face. She knew that Nath had sacrificed much for her, but... dang, saying it out loud made it so much more real. "Thank you, Nath. You have done things... shown me things that I thought were not possible. Thank you." She hugged Nath once more, but this time it was not a hug to comfort him, or to gain support from him. It was a hug meant to show that she too cared for him. "I... I... trust you, Nath. I really do. It has been long, much too long, since I have trusted, truly trusted, anyone. Thank you."
