"Well, I'm surprised to see a human not squick. How do dragons communicate in your world?" "I'd be curious to know, too. You and your friend back there seemed a bit surprised with how Lightning acted yesterday." Galard hesitated for a moment. "Which reminds me, I didn't introduce myself yet. Professor Galard from Dragonstail university, at your service. You can call me Galard."
-
Lightning rose, forcing Galard to stand up. He turned, looking at the stranger that cane in. He seemed... Vaguely familiar. I saw him yesterday, didn't I? Thought Galard. "Well met, master Klade." Said Lightning. "Is there something specific you'd like to learn? There's an almost draconic smell to you." "Can you understand him?" Asked Galard, laying his hand on his friend's scales. "If not, I can translate."
-
Galard went back to Lightning. "Any luck finding those dragons?" He asked. "They disappeared not long after you were gone." He grumbled. "I went to the balcony where I smelt them and no one was there. Maybe I'll try again later. How about you?" "Oh," said Galard, "I got to see this Nath person use a new trick, then got to... Umm... Save a person from being eaten by another person via tearing his arm off. Then both of them went to eat apples and salt, apparently, right after the guy with the torn arm got it reattached." He shook his head. "Some vacation, eh?" Lightning growled in agreement. Galard settled back, not speaking anymore. @The Bookwyrm

Galard looked at the shape. "You were consuming him, I couldn't just do nothing." He seems to have regained a calm demeanor. He tore a piece of his robes and pressed it over the gap where the shoulder should've been. "I'm not really trained with first aid," he said, "but maybe this'll help. Hello? Anyone? We need help here! Someone just lost an arm!" "What was it you said?" Galard asked the man lacking an arm. @Mr. Misting

Galard returns. "Well, the semi deity guy serms to be busy, so... Umm... Let's see..." Galard concentrates, trying to feel out the flow of Ether around the two people. It always gets odd around living beings but... Ah! He notes the limit between the two. It's almost nonexistent, but still present - perhaps the goo has already bore into the chain-guy's arm. He tries to pull them apar.

Nath's projection disappeared suddenly, and Galard got up and walked to the lobby. What he saw there was... Odd. Nath was talking to a woman who had... Was it the child with the changing eye colors from yesterday? Clinging to her feet. There was a msn carrying chains, covered to the shoulder with black goo that was going out from another person, just out of sight from Nath. He decided to walk up to the black goo person. "Is that-" he said, pointing at the black goo "- normal?"

Well... Not everyone are aware of the existence of the roleplaying memes thread. I think it's been inactive for a while now.

Galard took his Omelette and the meat conjured by Nath, and went upstairs. There, Lightning seemed to wake up. "Breakfast." Said Galard. Lightning growled. "Morning." He said, and started to eat. Galard vaught him up on everything that's happened to him so far downstairs - which, granted, wasn't much. "So, what are we doing now that we're here?" Asked Lightning. "We need to do something during this vacation, right? Not just hole up in an inn." "I kind of want to study this... 'mindscape' thing." Said Galard. "We'll see if anything more comes up. In the meanwhile..." "I have to stay up here, because human societies don't incorporate dragons. I know. I think I smelled dragons around here before, but they didn't smell exactly like regular dragons. Even then, maybe I can talk to them." He rose, stretched his wings a bit, then folding them back. "I'll go talk to them, you be with the other human creatures. It'll be fine." Galard chuckled. "I don't think Nath is human, per se, but I get your point. Goodbye!" Galard went back downstairs, leaving Lightning to his devices. @The Bookwyrm Galard went back downstairs, finding Nath only half there and another person sitting. He looked at that person. "Do you have any idea what's going on with him?" He said, pointing at Nath. @PyroPhile
-
Galard didn't sit yet. He stood, looking at his plate thoughtfully. "Hmm... Yeah, I guess, when you live this long, you tend to gather names." He snorted. "I wasn't originally from the city. When I reached there, some people preferred to shorten my name to 'Gal'. Can't say I was very fond of it." He seemed distracted. Then he looked up and said: "Can you either tell me where I can find red meat for my dragon? Or conjure some. He's going to need breakfast when he wakes up."
-
Galard frowned at the fire, then looked at the glowing man. "Thank you." He got the omelette out of the pan as soon as it was done. "You mean, you don't need to eat? That would be convenient." He put the plate on the table, and looked at it thoughtfully. "By the way, I don't believe we were officially acquainted? My name is Galard, I'm a professor to Ether studies at the University of Dragonstail."
-
Galard was looking around the cupboards when he heard someone enter. He turned. "Oh. It's you. I've just been looking for breakfast - not all of us can conjure things out of thin air." He opened another cupboard, finding eggs inside. "Oh, excellent." He took a pan and started cooking an omelette. "I'll still need to find out something for Lightning to eat, though..."

Not a picture because I don't have a fitting template, but: American Sharders: yawns I think I'll go to sleep now. Old world & Australian Sharders (basically everyone east of Greenwich): good morning! What'd I miss? (Alternatively: all's clear! Now we can start. Or something like that, I'm bad at phrasing it.)
