  1. Nothing you said contradicts @Rainier 's post. Lost of strawmen in your post. Nothing is ever said about which personality is "most important" and other characters reactions to Shallan's personalities are all irrelevant when discussing which personality is the closest to Shallan's "real" personality
  2. I can't remember all the instances off the top of my head but i know when Shallan kills Tyn in Ch34 of WoR its a pretty clear example of this darker more animalistic side of Shallan. There is a much better post about this out on the forums ill try to find Everyone responding here should read this. There was a lot of good work and discussion
  3. We have lots of evidence that 'MaskShallan" is just a personality construct invented to protect the original personality of Shallan's youth.. "MaskShallan" keeps her from facing her "truth".
  4. We have plenty of in text evidence that it creates a problem for Shallan. Its literally one of the main tenets of her character
  5. Do I really have to explain why dissociative identity disorder is weird/a problem?
  6. uh ya should
  7. Lirin is definitely NOT a stoneward. Stonewards are front line soldiers in the KR. Not gonna happen with Lirin
  8. Based on what? or you just WANT it to be Venli? I'd bet Kaladin dies in B5 with out swearing the last ideal and never ends up with anyone romantically before I bet on him being romantically involved with Venli
  9. “I obey the person who holds the sword to my neck, General,” Lirin said. “Same as I always have.” Lol exactly what he's doing?? Keeping his head down and just doing what he's told like a good little boy and not rocking the boat of his Fused master
  10. That does not keep him from being a coward in my eyes. He's 'risking his life' by not betraying the military leader of a resistance on the side of good. If he DID betray him, he would be a servant of evil. Just because he's not hiding behind Kaladin doesn't make him not a coward.
  11. “Surely you don’t intend to obey these monsters.” “I obey the person who holds the sword to my neck, General,” Lirin said. “Same as I always have.” He's a coward
  12. Lirin is a coward
  13. Its not. She eats foods that don't have sugar and they still give her Stormlight. Sugary foods give more Stormlight in comparison because they are more caloric
  14. Calories not Sugar
  15. Lets put this to bed
  16. Its just art y'all. its a representation of a KR, not a book character
  17. You are taking this a bit to seriously. Remember, they are just books meant to entertain. I know we are all passionate about the works but remember, just books.
  18. Your definition of 'politics'/'politicians' is overly simplistic and limited. The Alethi in question are better than Dalinar at being a certain type of politician
  19. ....or the book only involves a single Dawnshard and not multiple
  20. That doesn't say that Surgebinding destroyed Ashyn. It says the Dawnshards destroyed Ashyn. Then an insane Honor said Surgebinders would destroy Roshar. Something he clearly never said before he was insane and they made it thousands of years without destroying Roshar. I don't understand how people get that mixed up with "Surgebinding destroyed Ashyn". It clearly doesn't say that
  21. The answer is simple. Its because Honor was going insane. Every generation of KR knew that humans were the voidbringers originally and they destroyed Ashen (via the Dawnshards, I don't know why people always say it was because of surgebinding) But the one generation that put down their blades was when Honor was going crazy. As explicitly stated by the Stormfather
  22. This isn't A Song of Ice and Fire. Jasnah doesn't have to worry about Gavinor being a usurper invoking the "birthright" clause
  23. So with Rhythm of War getting finished up. 3/4 things on Brandons tracker will be 100%-ed the only remaining being the Mistborn Screenplay which I don't believe is a "main project" In the State of the Sanderson he mentioned Skyward 3 and Wax and Wayne 4 as the next big things and I personally haven't seen any more updates outside of that. What do you think is next? What would you prefer to be next? I think I would prefer Wax and Wayne to get Brandon's time, because I'm sure there are some fans out there who's primary interest is Mistborn over Brandon's other works and they have been "left hanging" so to speak the longest. After that I would like to see something new in the Cosmere even if it's just a spin off or new novella of something else in the universe. I can wait for Skyward 3 for sure as well as Elantris or Warbreaker sequels
  24. No. Because he's not a real person
  25. Nah. In Mythica she references Jasnah's personal opinions about various topics Jasnah is younger than Hessina, so if Hessina was a 20 year old prodigy, Jasnah was an 1-15 year old prodigy that also was already studying the unmade? So no Hessina writing Mythica in her early 20s is not possible
