  1. Gets a melted lipstick. Inserts a pen.
  2. Gets a paradox. Inserts laptop.
  3. Gets chaos. Inserts broken floor tile.
  4. When you wonder if it's possible to channel Jasnah for schoolwork and actually understand math.
  5. Kindness waves shyly. "I'm gonna fly, if that's fine. It's a little bit hard to carry a spren."
  6. This is gorgeous!
  7. Gets seven random numbers. Inserts half-empty tube of lip balm.
  8. I'm getting started earlier than I thought, but since I'll be interspersing this with library books, this gives me a month or so per book. Prelude Reading this now that I know about Surgebinders and what the Dustbringers do is much more satisfying. Prologue Elhokar speaks with Nale, and the person who people think is Kalak. I missed that the first time. What is up with that sphere Gavilar gives Szeth? I've completely forgotten. It has something to do with Voidlight, right? Part One Chapter One Squadleader Kaladin! One of my favorite chapters at first. It's a brilliant idea to have Cenn narrate this part. He's the perfect character to narrate the chaos of war. Chapter Two Annnd tone change. 'Honor died eight months ago' Kaladin is being a touch dramatic, but he deserves that. He gets to be dramatic. SYLLLLLLL Gosh, I love Syl. Chapter Three Final 'fundamental chapter', which is what I call the prelude, prologue, and first three chapters, with all the viewpoint shifts. Yalb! I forgot how much I enjoyed Shallan's earliest chapters. I still prefer Kaladin's, but these early ones are fun. So there's my thoughts so far! I'm not sure how often I'll drop in, but occasionally I will. Have fun reading, everyone!
  9. "Uh... So y'know how siblings love to tease? Mine keeps teasing me about getting a boyfriend - because of high school. That doesn't even make sense! I'm going for education, not a romance!"
  10. "Tea to spill?" Kindness flops down on the floor. "Spill. I have none, because I'm a recluse."
  11. "It's fine," she hastily says. "I'm used to being the slowest walker, I'm shorter than everyone." She smiles. "I didn't realize it was so close," she remarks as they walk. "I kind of got used to having to walk all over since I left home."
  12. They're always during supper for me, so I have to wait until after it's over, but they're on YouTube to watch whenever, thank goodness.
  13. I am awake, and this is also super relatable, by the way. I always do this! Y'know what a bad idea is? Listing in 'Yorktown' from Hamilton when you should be trying to calm down. Because now I want to fight the British (no offense, British people), and do a training montage, and I've still got Kaladin feels to vent, and oaravhncfifsdkvnlbsjr Anybody watch the livestream?
  14. I completely agree. I feel like most of the antagonists in canon are more gray and varied, where here all of them are completely evil. Meridas, Ahven, Elhokar, are all really dark, evil, gritty villains whereas Amaram kinda has a point (that I don't agree with, but it there), Taravangian has his dual nature, and Elhokar was well meaning.
  15. I'd have cried if that happened. This Taravangian is exceedlingly creepy, and I really don't like him. That was his sister and nephew, for Harmony's sake!
  16. It's pretty close though. I'll say this, I didn't expect the queen and her son to die. Thank the Stormfather that didn't happen in canon. I have a really hard time with child death.
  17. Yeah, crom sounds like a cartoon sound as a character stuffs their face.
  18. Thank you for putting that in words. There is just something inherently off about it.
