    Rathi walked through the doors of the Alleyverse Post. Hopefully this group would be less prejudiced than the previous one he'd been in. For some reason, having a shadow that points the wrong way makes you a demon that should be set on fire, which ruined the outfit he'd had. Honestly, some people had no respect for fashion.     [Concerning Dr. Gears's chronology, since this takes place before Stormlight and therefore takes place before LG67, he's alive at this time. Since I didn't RP with him during QF46, he didn't die then. I know players play with dead characters, but I'm going to try and make it realistic. If Dr. Gears dies in this game... well then, I've already failed.] Dr. Gears put on gloves and began labeling samples. For some reason, his fellow interns refused to follow protocol and accurately label their samples. It wasn't that difficult. Before he had actually arrived on Ashyn, he had been looking forward to investigating Ashyn's magic system. Now that he was actually on the planet, he was quickly disillusioned as to the wonders of internship. Missing samples, intern espionage, mob mentality, and many more incidents had quickly ruined the experience. Hopefully he would survive this and become a full researcher. Internship didn't even provide any life insurance. Concerning Silber: People have said this already, but given that we don't know if an alignment scanner exists, we shouldn't do this. Also, [I have made this mistake a few times] you are assuming that everyone will agree to this. If not everyone does this, it will fail. Concerning Illwei-TJ Shade conflict: I don't think there's anything special here, though keep Illwei's research intern comment in mind. It might be a role, it might be an alignment, but it's not the plebian villager state. TJ is always this aggressive, despite his best efforts.

    Gender apathetic. To be more precise, I have never felt that gender, as a concept, exists [I understand logically that it exists for other people, but it seems more like a social construct. For a better explainer, see Vihart's video here]. This made learning about gender identity very, very confusing. I have always wanted to wear a cloak/cape, but it is really hot where I live, so I can't really do that without risking my health. I like t-shirts because I like being cold. In the winter, I wear t-shirts, shorts, and a thin jacket. Enbyz probably, considering the "y" in "boy" is staying put. Or NBz. If I may, what are your preferred pronouns.

    That's... pretty hard to quantify, but the best comparison would be something like... psychology? Sociology? The study of people, their actions, and how they affect the greater universe. But Rathi also studies anything and everything that can be studied during free time.

    I intended to make RP of Dr. Gears as an unpaid intern [in the times before he actually had a good job]. Sadly, it is far past my bedtime. Do not expect me to be online in the hour before rollover and several hours after unless I make an effort to stay up. Some speculation on roles: Getting sick [this is an Ashyn game, after all] to get abilities at a penalty. Perhaps one cannot vote or cannot post incredibly long posts. World-specific abilities [there was mention of the interns being from different worlds] such as Knights Radiant, Breath, Metallic Arts, et cetera. This is not mutually exclusive with getting sick, though if both of them are active, I would expect weaker world-specific abilities to compensate for the penalty from getting sick. That is all for now. I don't know if any of this is coherent since I am falling asleep at my keyboard, but hopefully it makes sense and sounds vaguely reasonable.
