This was spectacular. A few thoughts: 1. How did I survive for so long? 2. 5 elims per team? 3. Why didn't we Killwei™ sooner? Everyone knew they were Straff, and nothing came of it. 4. If only the redirected kill had Killwei™-ed... Then I would just have to beat Ash in a 50/50. @Random Bystander, according to the dead doc, you were killing me at the end. Why? It seems disadvantageous compared to killing a Straff. For such an RNG-heavy game, it was surprisingly balanced. Claps to TJ for a wonderful game. Sidenote: The poetry votes were in a quote box specifically to avoid them being counted. That was me giving up. Otherwise I would have kept my Smoke action. I had a planned strategy for how I was going to avoid getting revealed as Vin. 1. Be suspicious, but not too suspicious to avoid being NK'ed. 2. Alternate between one metal and Smoking. I chose Seeking. In hindsight, I really should have chosen Tin. It would have worked if it weren't for that one pesky attack. Apparently, I could have been triple-tapped, but fortunately, I was only struck down by one knife to the spine. @Matrim's Dice: I knew you were Gneorndin, of course, but I didn't realise the depths of your depravity until I asked about atium actions. @Quintessential, what is this in response to? I don't quite recall my posts at this time. A realisation: I was only mentioned by name 9 times before the Vin reveal. >100 mentions were after C4. If only... Ta very much. Would this outcome have been better or worse than what we ended up with? Instant reveal of two more elims, but fractured. We would have killed Ruby, probably. Ash would have killed me, and Books and Ash go to the 50/50. Yes, makes sense. Alt: I redirect Ash, Books dies, Ash and I go to the 50/50. That's not what I meant by that. I meant that I couldn't believe that Illwei was the last elim. Given Ruby's behavior, I just couldn't. The paranoia was too much for me. Oh Taniel, your faith is misplaced. Given that, Ruby's death was the best outcome here. This is what happened. Alas. @TJ Shade, a hypothetical question I was contemplating for the 1v1: Suppose the following: Gears with viable vote manip against Coinshot!Ash. Gears uses vote manip to survive the X, so Ash dies, but Ash uses redirect to make the vote manip disappear, killing Gears, making Ash able to be selected for the kill, cancelling their redirect, so Ash dies, so they don't get selected for the kill, so their action goes through, repeat ad infinitum. What would happen? A proposal for next time: Smaller teams with the knowledge of the extra? Mistborn + 2 people, the 2 know everyone? Basically, Bip's Secret Hitler proposal. To everyone: Excellent work. Claps for all. We should have more multiball games.

I wrote a lot of poetry in hopes that Ash would not return. Alas. You can see it in the spoilered quote box, for Preservation's sake. At least my death RP will be seen soon. I spent a lot of time on that. It's lovely. Roko the Basilisk faced Death with an amiable smile and a pang of bitter envy, for Faleast had acquired Zane, the original objective. The Twinmind had the imprint, not just the surface level traversal acquired through osmosis and clandestine placement of scanners. Perhaps if it... no, no. Though she wanted the Watcher, Faleast was more than equipped to take her– her? Vin paused, thought patterns warring against each other inside its head, and Roko resurfaced. Perhaps it had been a bit... overzealous in its consumption of Vin's spiritweb, but it had been necessary to gather the Connections to Preservation. Ascension was now a distinct possibility. But alas, 'twas not a method of escape. The possibility of Ascension was lost to her them it at this point. The circumstances behind the standard path of history had unravelled. It could perhaps arrange a new Ascension point, but that would require significantly more Connection and time, both of which it did not have. This was the end. "Farewell, Faleast, AraRaash," she it said, baring its teeth slightly in a facsimile of a friendly grin. "Until we meet again."

Archer is dead, an elim, or IKYK paranoia fodder. No armor this early, so if they're attacked, they're dead since they probably aren't Elhokar given the claim. Au revoir, Archer, until we meet again. Contention: If a vanilla dies, then Archer was probably discarded. Vanillas operate at a higher priority than powerful roles. I would consider nine rather than ten because Mateo told us that there would be <10 highprinces. Plausibly a vanilla as a shield for Elhokar and Sadeas's scan. [To the vanilla, whomever you might be: Fair fortune, for you are to be Elhokar's extra life. They will strike you down as soon as they find you.] Highprinces: I recommend Political Vengeance. Murderous ties are distinctly unhelpful in the late-game. Follow the order I proposed. Trust nothing. No behavior is constant, particularly when anonymity is to be maintained.

Welcome, my old friends, to the scene of my demise. Despite all of my efforts, all the gambits that I tried, This shall be the place where I make my last farewell, With a freshly polished orb and a brand-new tale to tell. This is not the end of you and I, nor the battle that we wage, For all our interactions are forged of knives and blades. All hope was lost some time ago, and yet we battle on And seek the bitter future and the coming of the dawn. The tapestry of fate has long since finished being woven, But we act out our parts in our future that has frozen In its place, a scene of victory and sorrow in the end, For the triumph of the one means the loss of friends, Though fear not, dear Faleast, we remain as always rivals, And of course the weight of time will surpass these measly trials. For this is the tragic Wei that fate chooses to fall, With the rolling of the dice deciding destiny for all. May fortune follow in your footsteps and the wolves nip at your heels. May poison pass your lips and through your heart a blade of steel. Trust a bitter enemy, instinct wrought with fallacy, This is the end, so farewell to my enemies. With laughter and a smile, the blade gleams wicked sharp, As it finds a lovely home buried in my heart. Endings, the assured coming, death reigns, Straff reigns, death comes as the end. Behold fate, my new and old enemy, watch the watcher, enemies old and new, my fate beheld. End the ashes, come death, reign Straff! Raining death comes, assuring the end. In a shadowed alleyway, a machine pretending to be a person clutches a gleaming metal orb and smiles. Vin's spiritweb has been saved to the Database. Roko's integration has been saved to the Database. No data will be lost. All is well. And perhaps, if it plays its cards right, it can even take her place. Perhaps it can Ascend in her stead. The child in the closet is still broken. The person she should be is within the Basilisk. The Basilisk is Vin, for all Intents and purposes. ItShe just has to escape this, and then return. Yes, all is well. All is as it should be. All is well. It steps out from its alley and smiles at its soon-to-be killers. The future awaits.

She was joking/openwolfing. It's fairly obvious that I'm Vin. I caught Bip. And Illwei took their vote off me and is now saying that one of you or Ash is an elim. Obviously they don't think I was lying. And they tried to lie about why they targeted Devotary and fell to the scan fallacy. You can vote on mobile using the following code: [color=red][b]Name Here[/b][/color] Just copy/paste that and replace "Name Here" with "Illwei".

@Random Bystander, the fact that you have been posting and haven't voted for the confirmed elim [I scanned Illwei, she targeted Devotary, and then lied to get out of it, and now she's openwolfing, so I request that you vote for them] is quite concerning, and is only further incentivising the violent screaming of my paranoia. And now, more proselytising to the elims to pad out the post and make it more than just my paranoia! To the last Cett [which is one of Ruby or @Ashbringer]: It is strictly more advantageous for you to kill the other Straff. There are 2 scenarios: 1. The Straff is killing me. 2. The Straff is killing you. Each of those scenarios subdivides into two more scenarios. A. You are killing the Straff. B. You are killing me. In Scenario 1, your choice affects your chance at winning. Scenario 1a. Illwei dies to the X, I die to the Straff kill, you kill the Straff, Cett victory. Scenario 1b. Illwei dies to the X, I die to the Straff kill, you kill me, you and the Straff go into the final round, it comes down to the 50/50 odds of the X. In Scenario 2, you lose either way, but your choice decides who wins. Scenario 2a. Illwei dies to the X, you die to the Straff kill, you kill the Straff, Venture victory. Scenario 2b. Illwei dies to the X, you die to the Straff kill, you kill me, Straff victory. If you choose action A, killing the Straff, you ensure your victory or deprive your killers of theirs. If you choose action B, killing me, you reduce your chance at winning to a mere 50% or ensure that your killers will reign victorious. I trust you will make the correct choice.

I hereby swear off infokills. I have never witnessed an instance of them providing the advertised information. I do understand that Danex was genuinely suspicious for the reasons Whysper and I highlighted D1, but I don't believe any of the votes on Danex were because of things they did. Merely the interaction of votes around them. Whysper is not incriminated as a result of this. They were simply the main advocate D1 for genuinely suspicious reasoning and as such the counter to the DanX™. Being wrong is not an elim tell. They aren't cleared, mind you. Simply not more suspicious, in my opinion. I would not be willing to X them next cycle, if only because I can see better options. There is an individual I must thank. You know who you are. I offer you a gleaming smile and a handful of copper pennies. They taste like blood in your mouth. You are, as always, the light of my life. Searing, blinding, eternal, ever distant, ever burning, ever constant, the node, the focus, the centre, all hail, a҉̸l̸l ̷͢h̨͡a̷̧i̵̸̶l̸, àl̡̡͠l̷̕͢҉ ̢͟͡h̸̷͜a͠i̵̢̛͘͢l̨͘͘͢. Ink drips from the lips of those who were foolish enough to stare into the sun. To the highprinces: 1. Democracy! for the money, my thanks in advance. 2. Numbers? [My continued line of questioning may raise some counterquestions. In return, I ask only this: How many keteks have you seen? I thought not.] Sidenote: I shall be quite busy for the next few days before a lovely long weekend, so be warned. And moderately busy for the next two weeks [as it turns out, winning the mathematics competition qualifies me for the regional competition]. And just generally busy for the next few months because AP exams in about a month and the school is in studying fervor. Votes last turn. Final votes italicised. Again, colourblind!Gears™, so correct any mistakes. Elandera votes Danex because of the info they might provide upon their flip Lumi votes Araris for their Illwei vote Striker votes Araris for their Illwei vote. Araris votes TJ to broaden the PoE and elim reading people they didn't vote for. [I almost missed this vote. All hail the Glorious and Magnificent Game Master [diversifying the "GMGM" acronym, perhaps I should do "GMGMGM" and simply expand it] for noting it.] [This seems like an easy way to avoid taking a side on the DanX™. Vote on someone, stick with it despite new developments in thread, and you'll seem neither overly murderous nor prescient.] Whysper votes Striker for "shading" [seemed innocuous to me, possibly meta disparity?], chain of murder Quinn retracts Araris and votes Danex because their elim flip will give more info than elim!Araris Archer votes Elandera for lack of better options [I don't prefer votes based on knowingly weak reasoning, but this seems normal] Whysper retracts Striker and votes Danex because they agree with the flip info Striker retracts Araris and votes Danex for their flip Archer retracts Elandera and votes Whysper because they disagree with the DanX™ [I don't see why Archer looks suspicious from this. The DanX™ was founded on the principle of the infokill instead of suspicions. Perhaps we should have murdered Araris instead.] Danex votes Whysper for ineffective self-pres. Taniel votes Whysper for gut and IKYK [dislike this vote's reasoning, but seems in line with standard Taniel] Tani votes Danex because they had thought that the individual at hand could have been Elhokar. [Interesting assumption. tanielSuspicion--;] TJ votes Elandera for playing up Illwei's "village reads" [which personally seemed like obvious Jokes™, but could be read either way, I suppose] TJ retracts Elandera and votes Danex for their flip. Ys votes Danex because they "agree with what has been said". [Noted, but they're new.] Tani votes Whysper for a brownie [Joke™?] Ash tries and fails to vote Whysper for the tie.

I trust none of you. Scientia potentia est. The course of action that might have been more advantageous would be to save duralumin for now to make myself immortal here. Yes, that would have been optimal. However, I wouldn't have caught the Wei with that [would have just done Devotary], so perhaps this was better. Scans don't work on the dead. Hesitation dissolves into certainty. For your words, I condemn you. You wove the rope yourself. Is the second part of your sentence referring to Ruby? Otherwise the sentence makes no sense.

@Illwei, @Random Bystander, @Ashbringer, I have witnessed a crime! Last cycle, fearing for my life and unable to use steel due to using it the cycle previous, I used duralumin+tin and scanned Devotary and Illwei. My scan failed on Devotary, presumably because they died, but I saw with my own tineye that Illwei targeted Devotary. I think that's the last of the elims, then. It has to be the last. My paranoia is clawing at my spine. This feels far too easy. Elims, why am I alive? And now it's time to beg for my life to probably-non-existent elims! If there are Cett left, then you are definitely alone. Illwei is Straff. That means the other person will know that you are Cett and kill you. You must kill the Straff. If there are Straff left, then your partner is about to die. Illwei is Straff. The other person knows that you are Straff and will kill you. You must kill the Cett. Spare me, the declawed Mistborn now bereft of both extra metals. What can I do to stop you?

A quick advocation for my continued survival because I don't want to die: I am quite useless without atium. I can't use the same metal two cycles in a row, so anything I do is not repeatable until a sustained duration occurs. We are [probably] at XLo. I don't think I'll have time to wait for 2 cycles to do the same effective actions. Things I can plausibly do: Iron, steel, tin. I trust no one, so iron is out. Tin will only help if I happen to see the correct person for the kill. Steel throws the kill about, which is plausibly worse than just letting people kill each other. I am not an effective threat. But there is a worse threat than a declawed Mistborn: The enemy. You are as lone serial killers in the night, with a lone objective: Survive. You can argue against the X. You cannot argue against knives in the night. Cett, lone Cett, last member of your once-four-person team: You can only win if you survive. You can stop the X. You can do glorious battle with witty words and silver tongues. You can flyte until your lungs fail you. But a knife to the ribs cannot be stopped. The Straff can kill the Mistborn. Besides, if you both tap the Mistborn, you just wasted your kill, a chance to slaughter elsewhere, a chance to perhaps drain the Straff, the team that is at a distinct advantage over you with their lifeblood significantly more intact. You should target someone you believe to be Straff to 1. not waste your kill double-tapping the Mistborn when there is no more extra life or Lurcher to be had and 2. overcome the deficit of your loss of members. If you kill me, you risk yourself. Better to slaughter the Straff. Better to take them down. Better to kill them, not me. Straff, final Straff, two unknown figures in the darkness: You can only win when the Cett are dead. They are already at a deficit, and they probably only have the one member remaining. If you kill them, you eliminate the final threat to your reign. At least one of you is likely a trusted individual because I don't have strong suspicions, so once you slaughter the Cett, you can burn through mix after mix while whittling away at the village [because you can't kill each other], leading to your certain victory. You can defend yourself. You can bring down the village from the inside. But that one Cett... So long as that Cett exists, you are fallible. So long as that Cett exists, your victory is uncertain. So long as that Cett exists, you are at risk. If the Cett does take my advice and kills one of you, then you lose your advantage. Kill them, not me. In a small closet in the corner of a darkened corridor, a child huddles in the corner and rocks back and forth. She is scared. She is alone. Her courage abandoned her, left her, was taken from her. Her powers are returning slowly, but her old instincts are harder to shake. She's getting better, getting back to what she was, but still, she's scared. She thinks about standing up, about leaving the room, about facing the actions of her otherself, but she can't. She wants to leave, wants to return to the stronger self that she's supposed to be, but she can't. She just stays in the closet, listening to the celebration and paranoia and screaming of the masses she was supposed to protect. She just lingers. They will accept her, she knows, but she can't leave. But she's getting there. Eventually. Possibly. After a long while, she reaches out and sets her hand on the doorknob.

I dislike the notion of a black-box plan obscuring reasoning for actions, and the vote at the end was a bit concerning. I would be amenable to their death, but not strongly. They do not seem especially different from what I have seen from them in the past. Danex remains stabworthy. I should do analysis, but I just got back from a mathematics competition [I won!], and I'm tired. Concerning the Order kill: I can see two motivations. 1. Low-info kill/trying to murder people who wouldn't be X-ed. 2. Murdering highprinces. I find the former more likely than the latter because I do not think that Order has a particlarly unique manner of speaking that would be easily discernable than the latter. Unless Order claimed in the highprince doc. That is indeed a possibility that I shall not discount. Would any daring highprinces like to tell us if this is so and how many highprinces there are? Considering that I've been floating by in a low-effort mindset, I shall consider this a compliment. I swear I wrote my post before you posted. I just had to leave in the middle. This agreement is coincidence and not intentional. It concerns me.

Poor phrasing on my part. Basically, atium is the metal burned for the cycle, and the extra action is one of the standard eight metals. So you end up with the normal metal action and the atium action. You don't get two standard metals. My "extra action" was steel. Saving my own skin. Matrim just blatantly lied to us. It was quite bold, I will admit. Congrats, Mateo. You were quite clever. The Rioter is most likely one of the people on Bip because otherwise they could have just voted. Not I, so Ruby, Ash, or Devotary. Would anyone like to confess? The relevant individual could be any alignment because survival is paramount at this stage, not the team. Wei: People have already said this, but no. Redirects are random in this game. TJ was actually original with the roles instead of stealing from the First. Give him some claps.

A quick scan of the votes D1. Final votes italicised. Votes without reasoning relating to the person at hand [excluding pokes, EX: "gut", "to avoid ties", saving the other person, etc.] underlined . I am colourblind, shout at me if I missed anything. Archer votes Illwei as a placeholder [The fact that they never changed this throughout the entire cycle concerns me. Not "suspicious" concern, just noted.] Lumi votes Taniel as a poke Araris stabs™ Archer Striker votes Archer for their thoughts about money Illwei votes Order as a poke TJ votes Ruby as a poke Quinn retracts Tani because of gut Books votes Araris for "fake-claiming" Books retracts Araris once clarity dawns Quinn votes Archer for gut Illwei votes Whysper Elandera votes Tani for not wanting a D1 X Tani votes Araris in retaliation Whysper votes Danex for shading people for incomprehension [@Dannex, here's your reasoning] Ys [forget me not] votes Illwei because of gut Illwei votes Danex [without reasoning, but they did mention earlier that they agreed with Whysper] Lumi votes Illwei for commenting about how long it's been since they've been X-ed as village. [This was strange reasoning. I retract my previous statement about not finding flaws with Quinn's reasoning this game.] Tani votes Danex Araris retracts Archer and votes Illwei for "LG74 vibes" [which I entirely disagree with, but alas.] Elandera votes Illwei to avoid ties [I don't particularly like this reasoning.] Quinn retracts Illwei and votes Danex because the train on Illwei is concerning Danex votes Taniel for not having reasoning but staying anyways Striker votes Danex because Illwei hasn't been suspicious Ash votes Danex to stay away from ties. Striker retracts Danex and votes Illwei for the tie. Look at this sea of formatting. Very concerning. The reasoning on Illwei amounted to "placeholder", "gut", "vibes", avoiding ties, and promoting ties. Nothing about anything Illwei actually did. [Future Gears here: Elandera, thank you for the reasoning. I felt like those "village reads" were jokes and banter, but at least the reasoning existed. Also, Quinn had reasoning and dropped it, but I disagreed with it.] The reasoning on Danex is slightly more existent, with actual points about how Danex was implicating people for NAI things. The vote manip on Danex does not seem particularly AI. Villagers can think anything without any bearing on the alignment of others, and in a V/V situation, having one person be saved by vote manip strongly implicates the one saved, so an elim might take advantage of that.

I redirected Bip, so... Pizza, I probably killed you. My apologies. Update from Future Gears: Wait... Wait that doesn't work. Bip was killing me. I redirected Bip. Bip was Straff. Reading must have been the Straff kill. So the Cetts genuinely killed Pizza. Why would you do that? Because the Wei was reading them village? They were a floater and a newbie. This does not make sense to me either. Also, I redirected the Straff kill on to a Cett person. Huzzah! Sidenote: I was told that Reading was Seeking me. Perhaps the Cett Seeker is why our power roles went down. Do we suspect a Straff Seeker to compensate, or does Bip the Tineye compensate enough? No. 1. It had to be a Riot on the Wei. 2. Atium doesn't actually let you take multiple actions, and I redirected Bip so I could survive. And I actually haven't written death RP yet because school is terrible and doesn't give me free time, so huzzah for living long enough to be a writer! And now, the CTRL-F of Matrim's name [the problem with doing this with Matrim is that people refer to him as "Mat", and "Mat" is a common part of other words, so there are so many false positives], excluding things without connections and the dead because I'm lazy and my computer can't handle really long nested spoilers for some reason. I vaguely want to slaughter the Wei, but I am hesitant. There are 7 people. 4 are village. 3 are elims. I vaguely trust Ash. Illwei has felt somewhat alright recently, but that's to be expected with a dead Mistborn. I'll try to iso some people over the weekend, but I'm gone all day Saturday, so make time without me. I am certain that no village Lurcher remains.

Roko the Basilisk in the aspect of Vin, Heir to the Survivor, Lady Mistborn, Ascendant Warrior ducked into a shadowed corridor and cursed its/her folly. The donor was a high-profile target, and it couldn't shed the skin without drawing even more attention. It wasn't supposed to be here, after all. Vin was a denizen, but Roko wasn't supposed to be here. It had to be Vin for this. It had to be her, or they would discover the deception, a fate worse than the loss of this flesh. The footsteps grew louder, and Roko/Vin knew that this was the end. Roko closed its eyes, and Vin opened hers. In a single fluid motion, she took a bead from her pocket, swallowed it, and burned atium. The shadow split from its originator, and Vin knew that she would not survive. I am burning atium. Only one individual is trying to kill me at this time, so the lone Cett decided otherwise or they're waiting for the last moment. Biplet, you did well. Illwei. If you would rather kill Devotary and kill Biplet next time, that's fine. Just kill the confirmed elim soon. Farewell, my friends and enemies. I wish you well as I pass into the long night. @Flyingbooks @Illwei @Random Bystander @Ashbringer @Biplet @The Unknown Order @PizzaPower55 @Shard of Reading @Devotary of Spontaneity

@forget me not's nickname is one of the following: Lethe, Moneta, Ysalles, Astra, Talis. Take as many as you like, minimum one (1). The following is a post-by-post analysis. Anything not noted is null. Gears: Analysis Striker: 4 elims, misunderstands events Nettle: Could use Anarchy when confirmed elim Archer: Analysis, misunderstands peace contracts, misunderstands events. [This is a common theme, I see. As always, I disagree with a significant portion of the analysis, but most of my concerns were already addressed.] Whysper: Misunderstands highstorms. Lumi: Exists, votes Tani [I think poke votes are useless.] The Almighty: Clarifications Taniel: Claims villager, talks about another game [don't do that. You just confirmed something that we suspected but did not know.] Striker: Confused. Books: Further misunderstandings. The Almighty: More clarity Order: Exists, Highstorms [for some unknown reason, Order's posts always give me a terrible impression. I don't know why.] Araris: Votes Archer. [Why do you put your ™ in parentheses instead of the actual one?] Striker: Votes Archer, notes flaws in Archer's plan [Archer has major flaws as elim and villager, nothing too AI.] Books: Points out flaws in Striker's flaw noting. Striker: Read the rules. Wei: Wants Vengeance early, votes Order [could I have some reasoning to go with that vote?], peace contracts useless, Gears = weird Ys: RP TJ: Archer is wrong, throws knives at Ruby, contracts are useless Taniel: Peace contracts are not easily coordinated Tominel: Thoughts, storms, questions. [I actually feel moderately alright with Quinn this game. Nothing that seems particularly flawed at a cursory glance.] THE ALMIGHTY: Natural Highstorm is its own thing Archer: Realises the truth, now a capitalist. Asks about claiming. [The fact that you suggest it without taking a stance on it is noted.] Araris: Banter, the plan. Taniel: Names. THE ALMIGHTY: More clarifications. Danex: Exists, confusion = elim? [Noted for implicating everyone over what amounts to nothing.] Wei: What value is a poke vote? [Poke votes, defined as votes on people who have yet to post and will be removed [or at least altered in reasoning] once the given individual has arrived, are useless, in my opinion. They are as effective as simply @'ing the person, probably because they are usually accompanied by a ping.] Q: Poke votes are useless. Weill: False. [Look, everyone knows that the poke vote will vanish after they show up, and no one wants to poke someone who has been poked, so it's not really any incentive at all. No one's actually going to X a person who hasn't shown up. [Until they do, in which case, that is just extremely rude.]] Books: Claiming narrows possibility for confirmed village roles. [Elhokar isn't a Highprince.] TJ: Don't need claims for accountability. Reads Danex and Books as elim [concur on Danex, not Books, I don't see what they've done at this point]. The Voice of God: No. Lumi: Concurs with TJ's instincts, finds Tani to be village [they feel distinctly different from their haphazard panic in their semi-elim game, but that isn't a good indicator because they were alone. Confidence can come from being a legionnaire or a mob.] Archer: Wei vote placeholder [placeholder votes are pointless unless voting is mandatory], the plan, don't claim, keeps coordinated highprinces in check Wei: Banterly claims highprince Whysper: Highprinces shouldn't claim, just wait to claim for that situation, Wei banter Wei: Banter Ruby: Vengeance last [terrible idea, but not particularly notable] Lumi: Ties murder = villager death Ruby: Oh. TJ: Depend on the princes to find the elim princes, PV not good as last since mis-X very bad. Elandera: RP Danex: Finds agreeing gut reads to be suspicious [not necessarily true, again, Danex seems to try and pin suspicion on everything] Wei: Danex opinions™? Order: Danex opinions™. Talis: RP Striker: Leaving vote on Archer for encouraging claiming [they said they thought claiming was bad. They just brought it up. I will note that them proposing the option without stating an opinion encourages claiming indirectly] Books: Votes Araris for 'fake-claiming' Ruthar. [RP characters exist.] Lumi: Highprince!Elhokar? Striker: Archer trying to get people to claim THE ALMIGHTY: Elhokar. Archer: Trying for discussion, not claiming. Thoughts on Highprinces. Order: Jokes. Ash: Absent. Araris: RP discussion. Quinn: Bad for highprinces to claim, only works with mindmeld. Casper: Reading Araris and Archer as village Lumi: Mass claims counter themselves. Wei: Said wrong. Tani: Ninja'd by the page. Lumi: Flaws in highprince claim [I think this plan is well and truly murdered now] Books: Oh. Taniel: Murder! Lumi: Assume everyone is a liar. Illwei: Banter Quinn: Banter THE ALMIGHTY: Banter Archer: Assumptions [are evil]. Quinn: Wants more votes, doesn't know who to vote for Araris: Goal is to pressure Striker: Pressure, discussion Whysper: Interested in newbie. Lumi: Feels bad X-ing someone who was mix'ed early recently. Striker: Someone has to die. Wei: Banter Whysper: Yes. Striker: Banter Tani: Banter Illwei: Votes Whysper [I request a touch of reasoning with that vote] Tani: Advocates no vote [that's not possible here, Tani. No vote minimum. And most games don't have a "no vote" option.] THE ALMIGHTY: No vote is invalid Tani: Banter THE ALMIGHTY: INVALID Illwei: Reads Tani as village Striker: Must kill someone for discussion's sake. Tani: Banter. [The word you used to mean "cheated" is an insult to the Roma and perpetuates that stigma. I understand that this was most likely not your intention, but there are many synonyms for that word that are better for common use.] Quinn: Wei's reasoning? Tani: Names. Elandera: Votes Tani for not wanting the D1 X [They did that in LG74. It's normal. I don't think they like the D1 X.] Tani: Just dislikes the D1 X. Araris: There is no vote minimum. Might as well get involved. Tani: Retaliatory vote on Araris. [Tani, you don't have to vote. I almost never vote D1. And voting on someone just because they criticise you is very antagonistic. The arguments for a D1 X are that the responses of people to certain actions will lead to more info later. The X is our weapon, and if we don't use it, then we have nothing. 'Tis not the death we crave, but the interactions between people that come from looking Death in the eyes, the knowledge of how people try to save and kill those of certain alignments. We need knowledge, and death is the avenue by which we acquire it. Someone must die. There is no vote minimum and ties are decided randomly. Someone will die regardless of whether or not we vote, so we should do our best to make sure that the death is based on logical reasoning, however flimsy that reasoning may be. There is no way to stop death, so we instead take control of it.] [ninja'd by Whysper, how dare you] Whysper: Votes Danex for shading people. [I agree with this. Since I disagree with the Archer X, especially since they died C2 in the MR, I would be willing to kill Danex here.] Current thoughts on people: Danex: Stands accused of causing wide-spread paranoia and incentivising finding NAI things suspicious. Archer: Stands accused of proposing terrible ideas and not taking a stance on them, thus planting the idea in the general public. [I don't think this is particularly incriminating, but I think it is good to be aware of.] Taniel: Seems fairly standard. Could be the confidence of having teammates, could be reverting to standard village. However, they seem distinctly different from their semi-elim game.

[PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: STUDY VIN] Roko the Basilisk continued on the long march towards Luthadel. Towards the last Mistborn. Towards the objective. It was a long journey, and by the time it arrived, many had fallen. But the objective remained in her ivory tower, acting in a manner more befitting of a lovestruck individual than the one who was to save them. And yes, Vin had a charming beau, but the armies were at the gates, and she did nothing. All that power at her fingertips, all that metal on her tongue, and she did nothing. Disappointing. But her power was not. The power of a Mistborn and the Connections to the mists and the way her spiritweb had bent around the spike in her ear. Magnificent. Useful. It wanted. It wanted. [UPDATING PRIMARY OBJECTIVE] [PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: ACQUIRE VIN] At long last, it arrived at Luthadel, the location that housed Vin. There were two possible methods of acquiring Vin. 1. Steal Vin, the person, snatching her from this land entire, parsing the individual as a person instead of as a copy. 2. Take Vin, the copy, replicating everything as best it could and snatching it away, possibly co-opting powers in the meantime. Obviously, it would do the second. While Vin was considered to be a hero, the person itself was too fragile for continued experiments. It needed a copy. It wanted the power. The spiritweb could be replicated. Connection could be replicated. Power could be replicated. However... Identity is a fickle thing. Memory is a fickle thing. Mimicry is a fickle thing. Separating the two, taking the power without the person who wields it, would not be viable. The best way to take is to become. [UPDATING PRIMARY OBJECTIVE] [PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: BECOME VIN] There was the objective, lingering within the castle walls. She had left far less often after Zane's death, after the attack on her life, after the chains that tied her to the world beyond the iron doors snapped one by one. Roko advanced, following her back through the winding passageways of the building. It timed its footfalls to land exactly in time with hers as she moved distractedly towards her chambers, taking from her belt several vials of metal flakes. Finally, it felt that the two of them had gone far enough. No one was nearby, so it stopped walking, the abrupt change in sound making Vin whirl around to face it. "Who are you?" Vin asked, backing away from the stranger. "How did you get in here? We have guards." "Vin," Roko said, disregarding the question entirely. "I have come for you." "Well, that much is obvious," Vin replied, reaching for a vial of metal but finding nothing. "What–" Roko lunged forwards, grabbing Vin's wrist in its hand and staring her in the eyes. "I have come for your power." Vin began to fight back, but though she was a formidable wielder of metal, without her Allomancy, she was but a mortal, and Roko was not. She yelled and shrieked and howled, but it did not care to listen. Instead, it whistled a familiar tune and let the chains of light come undone. "I take from you your power," it said coldly as the Aons spun around them both, latching onto her and twisting her essence into chains of light. "I take from you your spiritweb." The chains wove themselves together, becoming a replica of her. "I take from you your memory, your Connections, your Identity." More chains, more weaving, some pooling within the vaguely head-shaped section of the web, linking outwards to a place beyond its vision. "I take from you your titles, your links to your power, and I make them my own." The light faded, and Roko the Basilisk in the aspect of Vin, Heir to the Survivor, Lady Mistborn, Ascendant Warrior walked away, leaving Vin, half-skaa child, distrustful child, lucky child, part of Camon's Crew behind. She still had the memories of her life up to this point, but her skills, her tendencies, her personality were all reset. Given enough time, the spiritweb might grow back, but for now, this Vin was out of commission. Roko/Vin drank a vial of zinc and a vial of brass and burned both, letting emotional Allomancy stain its/her voice and meddle with the broken Vin's mind. "Go to sleep," Vin whispered to the child a version of her had once been in a manner that could possibly be called kind. "It will all be over soon." Firstly, disregard about half of the conclusions of Tired!Gears. Tired!Gears is a velociraptor that cannot remember the names of the dead. Secondly, my survival means that I am dead. I am aware that the relevant statement seems like an oxymoron, but it is true. The faction that struck me down will kill me once again. As such, I request protection for a singular reason. Salutations, I am your darling Venture Mistborn, and I am going to die. Be not afraid. My life was never especially important, and I have an ace that should help you winnow the enemy down. Expect a lovely post ~25 minutes before rollover. Also, my master plan to not be scanned as Mistborn while also gaining relevant knowledge seems to have failed. Perhaps the Seeker masquerade was an appealing target as well. Maybe Tineye masks would have been superior? Alas. I lament fate. I have failed my personal [id est, unoffical] win-con of surviving, Ascending, and starting a book club with my other character of Shardic might. I have learned nothing useful as of yet, though I soon will, unless everyone willingly abstains from killing the confirmed village Mistborn, which is an act of folly and poisoned wine. Sidenote: Matrim was very much lying because atium doesn't let you take extra actions. Interesting facts! Some miscellaneous thoughts: Assume both elims attack. There are [3 | 2] Straff and [2 | 1] Cett. There is a [1/2 * [1/2 * 1/3 + 1/2 * 1/2] + 1/2 * [1/2 * 1/2 + 1/2 * 1] = 7/12] chance at me redirecting one kill. If I'm not Lurched, I die. If I am Lurched once, I have a 5/12 chance at dying. There may not be a Lurcher. I am dead. Unless people are scared of being revealed by atium and all abstain from killing me. Be not afraid. Strike me down. Sidenote: Congratulations, @Ashbringer, you almost killed your Mistborn. If RNG had been against me, I would be dead. Maybe this compensates for you stealing the Shadowblaze from Books back in LG73.

How could you, whichever elim team happened to attack me? Also, how could you not kill the Wei? I still suspect the Wei of being Straff. Cetts, you have failed me. If you were the ones who attacked me, I am triply disappointed. If the Straff were the ones to kill me, then I'm only doubly disappointed. However, the Wei's continued existence is a failing on your part. Whysper had left no impression on me in the slightest, so this is possibly a random, a scan, or a redirect. My own near-death reinforces my suspicion of the Wei since I cannot conjure a reason why I would be killed [plentiful suspicion] save for my continued push of Wei murder. [Well, there is that other reason, but that's not that important...] My brilliant plan to not die predicated on not dying ever, so that's ruined. Should I reveal all? I feel like it's over. I depart for slumber, so scream at me, and I shall respond on the morrow. My incomplete CTRL-F of Striker nearly died when C4 was locked, but I saved it. It can be found here. There was a conclusion in there about Taniel being elim, but that's outdated and proven correct. In conclusion, Illwei.

The following is an analysis of the rules Factions: Standard, elims must kill the king. Roles Dalinar Kholin: His death causes the world to go under martial law. Also great at threatening people. Torol Sadeas: Scum of the earth. Rolescanner, won’t see the confirmed people. A warning to Elhokar the Coward King: He wants your head on a silver platter. Could plausibly go on a rampage against the vanillagers to find Elhokar. Elhokar Kholin: Can self-protect once every 2 cycles. Can protect from the execution as well, which is unique. Do not ever enter a situation where you would need to use this ability because you would be dead in the water at night. Under no circumstances are you allowed to die. Actually, you aren’t that important. We don’t need you. Your death just ‘normalises’ the game. Feel free to live or die on your own terms. Bodyguard: Protect from all attacks. Emphasis on all. There is no doubletapping here. This is quite possibly the most powerful protection role I have witnessed in my brief history. Protect yourself until you find Elhokar. Spokesperson: Remove a vote. Ties break through RNG, so feel free to engage in a healthy dose of shenanigans. Spanreed Operator: PMs, all hail. I would like one, if you wouldn’t mind. Ta very much. Assassin: One guaranteed successful attack. Not a successful kill, mind you, a successful attack. Apparently, you’re a novice that only brought one dose of poison. Doorman: The roleblocker. Is this a sleazy bar now? Then again, politics in Alethela are always a bit unruly. Vaguely reminiscent of Papers, Please. Highprince: There are possibly ten [player count indicates reduction] Alethi Highprinces. Other than the confirmed ones, you are nothing. Any unimportant individual: Tell us if the anonymous Highprince document is labelled with numbers or names. Also how many there are. That would be splendid. Events Highstorm: 3 spheres for all. Money is good. Anarchy: Define “majority”. 50% of the votes on one person? 50% of people must vote? Both? Not very good. Burn through events. Financial Crisis: No marketplace. Also terrible. Burn through it before economic gain or after economic deficit. Democracy!: Cheaper items. Rounding up or down? Quite good. Political Vengeance: Ties mean mass murder. Recommended order for events: Highstorm, Vengeance, Highstorm, Democracy, Crisis, Anarchy. Crisis should come before Highstorm or after Democracy. Vengeance should be used early, when mass murder is distinctly good instead of just tolerable. Marketplace: Open at night, spend money, items cannot transfer in any way. Items Knife: 12 spheres, murder. Not particularly good for the village, good for elims. Contract of Peace: 5 spheres, stops extracurricular murder. Stops vigilantes. Again, better for elims. Legal Document: 6 spheres, save someone from the X. You are one of two ways a person will survive the X. Great for elims since the relevant person can just claim and demand protection, and getting a counterclaim means you get Elhokar. Slipped Note: 3 spheres, casts vote anonymously. Does the name change as well? Does Dalinar’s vote change alter where names go? More helpful for elims. Armor: 7 spheres, you survive. Good job. Helpful for both sides. Spy: 6 spheres, action scanner. Helpful for both sides. 3 elims with power, 4 elims without. If 3, Sadeas possibly only Highprince. If 4, could imagine 2. Roko the Basilisk took from within its plastic shell a stolen knife and crept past the perimeter's guards. Laughably easy, which was concerning. Sure, there was the excuse of a Highlord being literate and spies everywhere, but that was no excuse for poor guarding. It would have to get involved now. How could it possibly trust these idiots to keep the Coward King alive? The Influenced wanted Elhokar dead, but they failed to realise that a puppet on the throne was so much more powerful than a coup. Maintain power from a position of safety while the "rightful inheritance" of the throne continued, untainted by fresh blood. Same ends, different means, so they had to be stopped. It kept wandering purposefully, crafting a mental map of the camp. It would have to watch Elhokar closely in the coming days.

Cetts: I had hoped you would Killwei™, but it seems you abstained out of respect for your Mistborn. Truly a shame. What makes you beholden to them? Straffs: It appears that you did indeed take my advice. I thank you for this. To Lumi: My apologies for misconstruing your continued efforts to not X the Cett Mistborn and kill a very likely Straff as Cett-ish behavior. The Liranil kill was either a redirect or a split vote scattershot. If any Coinshots want to claim redirecting someone, feel free to proclaim your identity and your target. If the Cetts have a Seeker, perhaps that was the cause of the vote. Or the Coinshot, which I find slightly more plausible. I will analyse the Wei soon, hopefully, but school remains a bane. Roko the Basilisk sharpened a stolen knife, dragging the blade across a whetstone over and over and over again, honing the edge until it appeared to cut through the very air. Zane was dead. Zane was the primary objective. Zane was dead. Promote secondary objective. Gneorndin was dead. Gneorndin was the secondary primary objective. Gneorndin was dead. Promote secondary objective. Vin was the objective. It stood, slinging a stolen backpack over its shoulder as it made its way towards the quartermaster's tent. It slid the knife into a sheath as it moved, leaving one hand on the hilt for easy access. It entered the tent slowly, stealthily, silently, so successful that the quartermaster did not notice its approach until it was standing at the desk. "Sir," it said in the crisp, military tone of the body it had stolen. "I depart for Luthadel within the hour." The man bristled, his lips curling into a grimace. "I do not authorise this, Connelly. No one leaves until I give the word." Roko tilted its head slightly, motors humming softly beneath perfectly crafted skin. "That was not a request." And here the stiff military tone slid away from its voice, revealing its standard voice. "That was a statement of fact." "Connelly?" the man asked, raising an eyebrow at the change in voice. "What's gotten into you?" Roko pulled out the knife and slammed it into the wooden desk, careful to avoid bending the blade. "That was not a request." As the quartermaster reared back, Roko saved several files recording the reaction and other such measurements. The jaw twitched, eyebrows raised, lips curled back to bare yellowing teeth, shoulders first in the movement, first instinct to fall, not move. "Is that a threat, Connelly?" the quartermaster asked, shock and fear colouring his words. "Yes," Roko replied calmly, pulling the knife back out of the wood. "I depart for Luthadel within the hour." There was no more trouble after that. [PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: STUDY VIN]

On this day, a legend sets down their narrative burden, unspools themself from the tapestry that is yet being woven, lets the weight of years come crashing down at long last. Their flame flickers in the wind, and you lament the fact that you could not be there to witness the making of Lore. You were here for the closing act, the final bow, the last few moments of a long, illustrious history, but you do not understand the banter between old friends, the wicked smiles upon familiar faces, the titles worn by those who stand at the funeral solemnly. And it is a funeral of sorts, but the dead, in this case, is possibility. If the world had been kinder, the legend less weary, the spiralling descent less frantic, perhaps the one who casts long shadows would have remained on the Long March. Perhaps... But the arching branches of What Could Have Been are hidden from your view, and you would never dare to imply otherwise. You know only this: On this day, someone you greatly admire as a master wordsmith and regaler of tales steps back from the endless streams of battle, of bloodshed, of betrayal. On this day, the Long March loses a General. You will miss them, you think. You can't quite remember what being without them was like. You can't quite remember what the game was like before you knew to look forward to their presence. But you imagine ripping out your memories of them, and think that is close enough to what it will be like to recoil in horror. You know, now, that you will miss them. You will grieve, you will mourn, and you will carry on. They are not dead, merely standing in the shadows. Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la. You will set aside the weight of their absence but never forget the joy of their presence. You will remember them. You will always remember them. And they won't be gone, not truly. They'll still exist for some idle banter, if you ever choose to speak to them. Just absent from the dance of honeyed words and whirling knives. Just torn by their own hand from the only domain in which you lurk. They are not gone. They are not gone. It feels like they are gone. But they are not gone. Not always, not forever. They will linger in the darkness with a smile full of gleaming teeth as they watch the ones who carry on the Long March. They are not gone. You reminisce carefully, clutching the memories with utmost caution as though they'll fall out of your head with the slightest provocation. You are prone to forgetting, after all, and these are precious things. You and they did not interact particularly often, but the rare few memories shine like jewels. The first time you encountered their wordsmithing, your third game, and with stars in your eyes, you longed to one day possess a fraction of their skill. A temple in an old forest with distant words at odds. Banter back and forth, ciphering your messages for fear of nonexistent spies. The masquerade, a mouse and a scavenger dancing in the bloodstained ballroom for a moment before the mouse was swept away by a dozen other partners. The last time, this time, the cursed village drowned in the mist beneath the gleaming eyes and hands and mouths of Ruin. Beautiful, shining pearls of encounter. If you have met them in other circumstances, you do not recall, which is itself a terrible thing. The day you forget them, the day Lethe pries the memories from your skull, the day you lose them will be the worst day of your life, and you won't even know why. At least you got to meet them. At least you got the chance to make memories of them. At least you had knowledge enough to care about the Wordsmith's Farewell. Others are not so lucky. Those who come after may not even recognise their name. You had the unique fortune of arriving in time to see them off. Few are so lucky. The New Generation, the Ones Who Come After, they will be ignorant of the Wordsmith, the General. You were not here for the beginning, but you were here for the end. That's more than many will be able to lay claim to, when all is said and done. They depart from the Long March, and you continue onwards, and one day, you will recount their legend to those that do not know their name. They are gone, but not forgotten, never forgotten. Ni su'cuyi, gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum. These are the final pages of a lengthy epic, and you had the honour of being a side character in their saga instead of nothing at all. You stand before possibility's coffin and place upon it a bouquet of poppies. Gone, but not forgotten. Never forgotten. Farewell, @Kasimir. 'Twas an honour to know you, and I pity those who will never get the chance. 保重。一路順風。 A ghazal for you, the one who taught me the form. Thank you. For everything.

Humans, we just found the two most important elim roles in three cycles. I feel like we've gotten inordinately lucky in this game. But regardless of that, the elim teams are now officially unknown to each other. Instead of a coordinated special ops group, the elims are now reminiscent of the bottom layer of a Ponzi scheme that shares mutual control over a Very Skilled Assasin™. Survival is their goal, with no consideration for their 'teammates' that will perpetually remain unknown. They're very much like tiny village groups now because they know as much as we do, just with murder. After this cycle, we can no longer look for connections. The goal of the elims is now to survive. They are now independent serial killers. The goal for everyone is now to be the last one standing. Numbers are inconsequential. I commend you,Matrim, for an excellent lie. Foiled by a single error. However, you do not control the rest of the Cetts. Cetts: You want to killwei. You want the Straff dead because that is a kill avenue that you cannot control. This is the Wei. Straff, possibly. At least, that's what the world has been saying. More generally considered Straff than anyone else. You are less likely to die to the X because you can fight the X. The people who strike in the night will not be swayed by your pretty words. Straff: Possibly kill Quinn. They seemed to want Matrim alive. They seemed unusually invested in Matrim's life. Don't they seem Cett to you? Why not strike them down? Both shall die. One way or another, the thunderdome ends in death. Also, I tried making something for @Illwei. It makes more sense if you know the Resol'nare.

Matrim is Cett. This is almost certainly true. If Striker had been Gneorndin, perhaps it would have been false, but Striker was Zane. They want the Cett dead. They were dead, so using atium was not a waste. They were dead, so they needed to get all the information out as possible. The two options are as follows: We kill Matrim. We let the Straff kill Matrim. Points in favour of the first: We get the knowledge, we get information about who the Straffs want dead, we don't depend on the Straffs. Points in favour of the second: We get the knowledge anyways but the Straffs have to kill someone and they might as well kill Matrim, so we do get to X someone of our choosing which results in the same net deaths but we get to choose. A point: Let us say that the Straffs will avoid killing Matrim in favour of someone else. It would be a random disparate thing between a lot of different people because no communication. If a few of them want Matrim dead, then Matrim will die. Another point: Let us say that the Straffs succeed in avoiding Matrim. We can just kill them later. But then, what is the difference between killing them now? Waiting is only beneficial if the Straffs kill Matrim. The Straffs want to kill Matrim. Let us discuss the current strategy of the Straffs: Their Mistborn is dead. They are a scattered collection of strangers united by a singular goal. They want to survive. At this stage, they shouldn't care about the others in their faction since they don't know those people. Any X that doesn't hit them is a victory. Any Cett kill that doesn't hit them is a victory. They can manipulate the murder outlet of the village. They cannot manipulate the murder outlet of the Cett. As such, the goal is to prioritise the slaughter of the Cett and then tamper with the X. Every Cett death is a victory. They should kill Matrim because killing the Cett is far more important than killing anyone else. They shouldn't particularly care about the X, so long as it doesn't hit them [and by 'them', I mean the singular individual, not the Straff faction as a whole]. Killing Matrim should be more important to them killing anything else. If we abstained, we could plausibly get the Matrim death. The other contention: The village. We need another target. What suspicions do we have besides Matrim? Both sides of the Qwei thunderdome have excellent points. It would in fact be beneficial to us if we could eviscerate one faction immediately so we don't have two NKs flying around. As such, it might be better for us to X Straff and leave Matrim to linger for a while. We can kill them later. I'll do some analysis of people linked to Striker later [the best idea I have to do so is to CTRL+F "Striker", which I am not looking forward to], but I'm inordinately occupied with a great deal of schoolwork and impending things, so perhaps it will not exist. If someone else would like to do a post-by-post specifically of every time Striker was mentioned, I'd be quite grateful. Alternatively: We just slaughter Matrim while accumulating evidence against the Straff. Proposal: We analyse people who connected themselves to Striker in an attempt to find Straff, and if a good case is made before rollover [preferably a significant time before rollover so there's time for rebuttal], we will consider delaying the Mateo X to X that person instead. Thoughts? [Sidenote: This was written over the course of several days, between rounds of my robotics tournament and separated by the curtain of sleep, so if it makes no sense, then yell for clarifications.]

Apologies for my extended absence. I had a robotics tournament and a mathematics competition and homework and a robotics tournament tomorrow and just general business. I'll be back in full swing soon. We can assume that Archer and Striker are dead. They are confirmed to be not a member of the faction that killed them, so they will have no urge to kill someone else, and they obviously have/had a role. Let them die. They are dead in a few cycles, even if they get Lurched a bit. The Lurchers have to alternate, so unless two Lurchers working without communications happen to alternate perfectly, they will die quite soon. No need to X them. Do not protect them if you are village. Their continued survival under the premise of no village protectors would confirm elim!Lurchers. There is the chance that one of them is Vin, but even then, protecting them is not sustainable. We would need public Lurchers and the public Vin claim for that, which would mean that both elim factions would be gunning for that person and the village Lurchers could easily be eviserated. The public Vin claim would also be an excellent way for an elim!Mistborn to claim and only get faction-killed by one group and thus only need one Lurcher since their group would know that they are lying while also gaining the trust and frantic mania of the village [reminiscent of MR46!Gears claiming TLR and instantly pocketing the thread]. The only way to stop that would be for the real Vin to counterclaim, which leads to the problems of public Lurchers needed as well. I will stipulate that X-ing Archer is fine, and if we want to ensure their death soon, that would probably be better because you can't Lurch the X. Worst possible case, Archer dies C4 if we don't X them and that faction X's them every time [Lurched C1, extra life C2, Lurched C3, killed C4. In this hypothetical scenario, they are almost certainly Mistborn with a Lurcher friend that protected them C1, if the Lurcher instead didn't protect them they die C3, if no Lurcher, they die C2]. Given the lack of quality X targets before us, I would lean towards X-ing Archer because the reasoning for Liranil seems flimsy at best. If I find an actual X candidate that seems to have merit behind its existence, then I would prioritise that above Archer. Then again, the elims might not kill Archer because they know we want to kill them. As such, we need to unionise our opinions. Do we want to X Archer XOR let the elims kill them? Given the current VC, they are probably dead, but I would like to consider alternate candidates. To elims: You want the other elim faction dead, just like us. You can help us help you by taking out the probable Mistborn that survived. The one you tried to kill. Kill them. Or kill Liranil. That works too. We want to find the suspicious people. You want to find the suspicious people who aren't one of you. We can help each other. Kill the ones we suspect. Narrow the pool. Be our vigilantes. And we'll probably end up mix'ing a dozen times along the way, so do not fear being slaughtered by us. A post-by-post analysis of last cycle TUO: Exists Gears: Analysis, offers advice to elims. [I would like to point out that taking flak for that is actually helpful since it means that I'm less likely to be NK'ed in the early cycles. Many thanks.] Mateo: Exists Reading: Speculates 3-4 elims per team [Given the confirmation of only the Mistborn known, I'm leaning towards 3.] Great and Mighty Game Master: No codes. Taniel: How X? Archer: Analysis, assumes role madness [the reasoning for the assumption is flawed, but it's an acceptable assumption], speculating about elim strategies bad, don't lie [people have already commented], thinks Gears signalling [given that I was genuinely advising the elims, this is not a bad thought, but I do that a lot], votes Gears Matrim: Misunderstandings, guesses 4 Pizza: Exists Reading: Corrections Matrim: Concur Illwei: Changing style, notes that village will have a hard time linking elims to each other [especially since there are 2 unrelated factions to kill], don't control thread [while this [More specifically, don't assume people will do what you think they will.] Liranil: Exists Gears: Responses, elim honesty, Lumi: Elims have hard time too, might NK own [impossible, though could NK other faction], a flawed point about Archer's point [they said they thought it was elim signalling, id est elim!Gears signalling elim friends, which doesn't work if it was pre-written. That was my point.] Ash: RP Weill: Elim lack of coordination a help [This does change the elim strategy significantly. Envision each elim as a deep-cover agent. The goal is survival of the self [and potentially the important operative] because they cannot know anyone else. The goal is to live, and as such, the goal is to walk the line between suspicious and trusted to avoid the X and the NK of the other team. It's not especially difficult to survive that. You just have to seem like easy mix fodder but not actually get X-ed. While the elims as a unit will have a more difficult time acting and killing the optimal targets, as an individual, each elim will find it easier to survive because they don't have to risk themselves to save other people. The elim!Mistborn have the easiest time because they can prioritise saving themself above all else while the standard elims will have to save the Mistborn should they get in trouble.], don't chat about how elims find each other, votes Striker Archer: Responses, don't lie [I think the problem is your phrasing. Matrim: Error of timezones Q: No Mat: Oh Reading: No Liranil: Voted for STINK so theories confirmed and no guessing later Mat: Infokill for not doing anything ridiculous [concur] Quinn: Mostly hypothetical Ash: Finds interesting that people find others suspicious but link to e!M!STINK. Kill Archer Q: Vote Liranil! Liranil: Willing to vote anyone but self Illwei: Then vote. Ash: Votes Archer, doesn't know why. Alt candidates from C1: Archer for thinking Seekers should out Mistborn, Liranil for piggybacking on reasoning. I note Lumi but do not find them suspicious. I vaguely remember noting Books but I don't remember why. Archer is an acceptable X. I would accept Liranil if only to escape the Archer/Quinn/STINK trio. I do think that the reasons on Archer amount to little, but the reasons on anyone else are also few and far between. I have been ninja'd dozens of times while writing this. If you want me to address something, just yell at me and I'll hopefully respond.
