  1. Calano's jaw drops. Then he gets right up in front of Wizard and begins staring at the cube. "That's so cool! You've repurposed it to make it an absolutely insane weapon. That's awesome!"
  2. "We do not venture far outside the domain of Juun. Juun protects us from the dangers of the outside world. I do not know of any people who would be expressly willing. You may try Orteo. That might be your best chance. Farewell." Without waiting for a response, Hyron drops the clubs in their hands, then shoots vines at the ground, propelling themselves upwards. They begin to fall right as they pass the top of the tree Juuno is on, before grabbing the tree and barely feeling any difference as gravity takes control again. Such a skill took them way too long to master, and is quite an achievement for them at 16 Lights Lived. "So, what'd they want?" Juuno asks in a sing song tone. Hyron did not respond, instead watching the traveler with a grim expression. "I am still not sure. They asked if any of our people wished to join him and his people to try and reach the moons. Great respect to Those Ones Up High," They noted, putting their ring finger on the top of their head as a sign of respect again, "But it is impossible to reach as high as Them." Juuno nods. "That's quite strange."
  3. Hyron instinctively leaped backwards, brandishing their weapons. How- They thought, in utter shock at this random display of power. Well, not random. It was warned that such power would be shown beforehand. But still. The stranger was stalking floating. Stalks... this would not stand. "Absolutely not. We will not approve of this. We do not allow you passage, and we will not be joining you." Hyron said firmly.
  4. "Adventure for adventure's sake? And to the moons? How would you even get there?"
  5. Hyron glanced up at the sky, where Calia hung. "What purpose would that bring? Seems futile."
  6. Hyron's green eyes narrowed. "Keep talking." Don't get them wrong, Hyron loved it here in Juun. But sometimes they wished they could go see the world. So, they were going to listen, cautiously, to whatever the stranger had to say. And pray Juuno wasn't stupid enough to intervene.
  7. Calano grins at his old friend. "Very funny, Wizard. I vaguely remember it, but I don't remember much."
  8. Calano stares at TAAron. "That's... It would be my honor. I will keep it safe." He reverently takes his bracelet and puts it on. "Thank you."
  9. "Please, if you'd like to." Calano turned to Bookwyrm. "It means a ton. Thank you."
  10. Calano nods. "I can help you get in." He turns to the rest of the wedding. "We should move on! Is it gift time? I think it's gift time."
  11. Calano put a thinking hand to his chin. "Hmm. That's an Ancient structure... it has quite the defenses. How soon do you need to be there?"
  12. "You're all a part of the wedding too, and as the groom, I have to make sure the guests are also enjoying it. Are you sure theres nothing I can help with?"
  13. Calano walked over to the group. "What's going on? Everything ok?"
  14. "It feels just as exhilrating for me," Calano whispers to Emma. "But we should probably continue with the rest of the wedding, don't you think?"
  15. Hyron's stance did not waver, despite the strangers seeming attempts to disarm them. "Recruiting for what? Recruitment parties don't come here often, as we like to keep to ourselves. Answer my questions, and be on your way." Hyron took a threatening step forward. "I will not hesitate to use force."
  16. As the pair dance, Calano's mind fazes out all else. Eventually, it feels as if he and Emma are dancing alone. In a void. A void of joy and eternity. It is just him. It is just her. It is just them. And there's no place Calano'd rather be, no place where he would be happier. Then dancing with his bride. Calano twirls Emma, then brings her right back into his arms, looking deep into her eyes as they sway.
  17. "Then state your purpose." Hyron said slowly. "We do not take trespassing lightly here."
  18. Hyron noticed the man in his loose clothing, then shushed Juuno's retort. Juuno glared at Hyron, but Hyron pointed down at the man. Juuno's eyes widened, then narrowed suspiciously. Hyron whispered to him, "I'm going down there. He should know not to wander here. We may be connected to the other islands, but one needs permission to tread on the Ground of Juun." Hyron leaped backwards, then began falling towards the ground. They stuck their fingers into the dirt pouches at their wrist, then shot springy vines to the ground. They landed in front of the man, who stopped and stepped backward in surprise, and the vines tensed, slowing Hyron down until they landed on the ground. Hyron disconnected the vines from their pouches, then grew thick branches as clubs, raising them. "Who are you, and why do you trespass on our lands?" Hyron asked in Simple, assuming the man knew the language. "You know the treaties, I assume. Why do you come here?" Hyron's simple tunic revealed their midriff, and their simple leggings were slightly loose, and went down to mid-calf. They were barefoot, for gripping branches, and wore simple leaf bracers on their upper arms. @xinoehp512
  19. Hyron leaped through the trees, using the pouch of dirt strapped to their wrist to launch vines out. The vines wrapped around nearby branches, then Hyron grabbed them, swinging on them. Hyron shot another vine at a branch underneath the canopy, a long vine, then catapulted themselves up with a shout, landing on top of the canopy. Thanks to their wide feet and long toes, they were able to grasp the leaves and branches, steadying themselves. Hyron breathed in deeply, enjoying the sound and crisp smell of the forest. Hyron put their ring finger to the top of their head, a sign of respect to the current moon in the sky, Calia. A shout began to sound behind Hyron, slowly growing louder until another member of Hyrons Tribe appeared next to them. The top of the Evergreen tree, the thin canopy, bent forwards with the force of Juuno landing there. "Hey, Juuno." Hyron said, "What's up?" Juuno gasped at the air. "How..." He gasped, "How are you able to do that so quickly?" Hyron grinned. "Guess I'm just better," They said, talking while surveying the leaf and needle ridden floor below.
