… did what? I don’t think I thought you were cardblocked, just that V!Kas’s result doesn’t necessarily clear you from putting in a kill. Edit: Oh. Right. HrhrhsvdkbwgJhshhdbdvxbdbhshjx Draaaaaaaaake

Hmm. Good to know... Follow-up: If a cheated-in card isn't used immediately, does it just go into their hand? And would that show up on a Two of Swords scan that same turn?

Hmm. @Lotus, when a Cheater cheats out a card, is that their action or just something they can do? I.e. can a Cheater cheat out a card, then submit an Elim kill instead of using a card?

You start with two cards...

Actually, if we're counting this as exelo, we might have better luck looking at actions and who killed Steel. There's seven of us, and Fabian and I weren't on to submit the kill. That leaves TUO, Kasimir, Archer, Drake, Araris. Drake claims (???) he used Two of Guards to protect Archer via Cheater mechanics. Not really confirmable. Kas claims he used Two of Swords to investigate Drake, turning up with One of Spears. This (with the clarification) matches with Drake's claims, although I believe Drake could have used a card C1 and then gotten no cards and put in the kill C2. Or Kas could have just made up the scan and made it match what he would have seen. Or any other paranoid thing that I could think of. Who knows. @The Unknown Order, @Archer, @Araris Valerian, any actions that would clear you from killing Steel?

Okay, cool. Then due to camping largely outside of cell service and having other responsibilities, I missed this game from approximately Noon on Monday/last third of C1 until the end of C2, with a possible exception of seeing the events of C1's rollover. Ah, bluetext. The friend of many a tired soul.

Well, that makes sense. Because by "nothing that would have impacted much", I meant... "nothing". I didn't use a card. Which is on me, because I'd meant to send an action in before I lost cell coverage, but... I forgot/had more important things to do with fleeting cell coverage. But I can say that I was completely out of cell service for the last third of the cycle (@Devotary of Spontaneity, can I put that in blue if it's true, or is bluetexting retroactively not allowed? I forget), so if I put in the Elim kill I'd have to have done it without knowledge of that last third of C1, which includes who would die that turn. I was also completely off for C2 (or I may have had time to look at the C2 post for who died, I can't remember, but I definitely didn't look at anything beyond that until C2 had ended). So... yup. Make of that what you will. I also appreciate the snowman! I will also say - if we're having consternation about kill decisions, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the Elims are letting Fabian decide kills. That seems like something Drake or Kas or Steel would cook up (although I suspect E!Araris loves putting in the kills too much to suggest it). I could also attempt my 101%-success-rate kill analysis. That always works and never just highlights midactivity players. (Although there really aren't any midactivity players... hmm. Might actually try that.)

Or more seriously, no, nothing that would have impacted much. I only saw the first half of that cycle, and nothing had really stuck out at me. I'd be interested in seeing what Drake's reactions to a major lead on him. I'm feeling good about Kas (surprise), but Archer Drake Araris all are a bit off to me. I'll start with Araris, for something specific and something I'm admittedly rather biased on: Why start with me and not Archer? Edit: Also, Ash has been green for a while, so I'm trying something new.

Hi. Sorry. I was out camping the past few days, and had very limited access to internet connection. (I did have some internet connection, but that was spent... either working on something or avoiding working on something that I am not allowed to speak of any further but is no longer a major concern of mine ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ .) TL;DR, didn't really have a chance to do anything, as I barely saw the first half of C1 and never even saw C2 until post-rollover. Archer, didn't respond to your vote because I never saw it. I'm going to do some yard work and then read through things.

AraRaash examined his cards carefully. A lot of options here, and all of them were quite... random. That was unusual in a Rosharian game, with the fortune-telling displacement and all. But that was one of the advantages of this great war. It was harder for the Ardents to justify their teaching of Voidbringers entering souls through seeing the future when they'd all seen how dangerous they were on the outside. Plus, AraRaash had gotten good at gambling on Scadrial. It was easy to have a poker face when you could deactivate your facial muscles at will. But he still wasn't sure what the storms this game was. Ones and Twos? Storms and swords? There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason, pattern, anything. There wasn't anything on Roshar to base this off of, and this was absolutely not poker. "I'll take a look," Faleast whispered. A beat. Another. "Nope, nothing." Well, this would be an eventful game. Great. "I'll put in two marks," AraRaash said, looking back at his hand smuggly. When in doubt, test the waters. Edit: And that's post 2,000!... somehow. Might beef it up later.

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Ashbringer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Whooo boy. That was tense. Sort of glad I didn't have to play the coinflip last cycle. Sorry I didn't post this sooner, but life's been busy (and not very sleep-filled). Being a Postman was kind of fun. Organizing with Dannex for those few rounds was something I'm traditionally poor at, but went pretty well until... yes. After that I did my duty as the sole remaining Postman, creating some random PMs and then creating some with Steel and people and being thoroughly irritated that Steel's PM friends kept dying. And then Quill made a PM with me and Whiffle which left me very confused as to why there was another Postman running around. WhiffleWhaffles, I had a few reasons for telling you not to guard me. I had narrowed down Link to Alvron and Steel, but still didn't trust you (or Quill until we figured out creating a PM cleared them and me). Plus I knew I wasn't Link, but I wasn't sure if the others had crossed me off the list yet. I wasn't confident enough in your alignment to fake-claim Link, or ask for protection which would sorta be a claim. In short, I thought I would (or very well could) get targeted, and at that point I'd rather explode than have that kill randomly redirect into someone who had about a 1/2 chance of being Link. I'd love to play this again, because sooooo much could have gone different. Trigger-happy Link, Kohga getting scanned literally D1, Zelda and the confirmed dying in the same cycle, and the main game mechanic dying N1... maybe if/when we change the Non-Sanderson game rules this can be rerun once (or twice). As for Faleast? Well, he was similarly busy not sleeping trying to find the Kandra Leak, although he was proud to be the last one of those to survive. He didn't get much of a souvenir, but he does still have an antique pot... -
I’ve got too many things planned for the next few weeks that would stop me from doing rollovers (or signing online at all, possibly). So if someone else wants the slot, go ahead. Hopefully I can run my games once school starts. Ironically that’ll be easier for me because I’ll actually have a schedule I can control…

Kill the new player in the second cycle? Really? I’ll look into that. Elims don’t do that without a good reason… or they usually don’t. … on second thought, maybe someone else should do that. Today’s proving an odd day for me. Mat for reasons said last cycle. (Which I can probably put in better words if needed because that was midnight!Ash writing)- 192 replies

I’d contest this. For starters, again Mat did the same as Devotary last turn, and… I don’t like this. You say that you don’t want to be pushed around but you made Araris of all people change his vote… Plus I’m really bad at E-Reading Matrim. Or a lot of people, but mostly Matrim. This is interesting. How about ”I had work from 3:30 to 11:00 and didn’t get on until now and really only had time for one post”? With the possible supplement of “I like to RP every game and especially in Kas games and simple ones particularly where I’m not shunted with PM responsibilities, so I made my first post RP”? And “I don’t like making a D1 vote when I’ve been inactive in general particularly when doing so in the last QF nearly got me killed and nearly ended the game D1”? Don’t really like playing follow-the-arrows either, but it’s D1 so eh. Might vote come the morrow, probably won’t.- 192 replies

Quick Fix Game 54: The Smoking Mirror

Faleast burned brass. He was still learning the intricacies of emotional allomancy, as he hadn't had much of an opportunity to use it back on Scadrial. Or at least, not... subtly. It was easy for him to overwhelm someone, but Soothing could be much more potent than that. Much more. Fortunately, Awakening couldn't break into a Hemalurgist's mind. At least with the skill that these Halladrians had. It was a potent system, one that he'd never really investigated, but AraRaash had filled him in on some details. Nalthis had... strange customs. More normal to Scadrial than Roshar's, but still mostly alien. Colors, a lot. Colors were important. He'd learned that. Wait... how did AraRaash know more about Nalthis than he did? Faleast's thoughts drifted. Ever since the Republic, since AraRaash's jaunt back through time. The darkened spike. He had some idea what it did, and it was useful... but it had changed things. Not much, but their path crossed those of many, and that led to a lot of differences over time. The end result, was AraRaash had different memories than Faleast did. And the kandra wasn't exactly sharing what had changed. It was possible he didn't know what had changed, but... neither of them seemed to want to talk about it. The spike was binding their souls together, but their minds weren't cooperating very well with that. Faleast still felt... more... angry. It was disconcerting. Hence the Soothing. Plus, it didn't hurt to Soothe the crowds a bit. It wouldn't help in the long run, but perhaps it could calm things in the moment. Perhaps.- 192 replies

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Ashbringer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Just going to say, assuming we don't lose tonight we need everyone to vote on the same person tomorrow. It's possible there's 2 Elims left, which leaves it a 3-2 split if the three Villagers vote. -

Okay. First of all, not a fan of the switch on Devotary. Not at all, especially with Quill and Whiffle going after each other like that. We've had (and as Elims encouraged) such Thunderdomes before, but it seemed like the best lead that we had and instead we flipped on Devotary. @Alvron, I'd love to hear what tipped you off, because I was maybe 40% sure that Devotary was Link. Fortunately that was wrong. And then there were six. We can work with this. -

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes

Hmm. Well, I guess I need to try and spur conversations more often. This… isn’t what I wanted, but we’re out of easy answers. Both Quill and WhiffleWaffles claim they haven’t been lying, and technically neither of them have to be. Could just be that unfortunate situation. However, I do think Quill was very quick to turn on you, and Mist’s support is similarly confusing. That PM has only been open, what, less than 48 hours? But a Knight is still a Knight, and while such mistakes could happen… unless there’s another Knight, Link would have to decided to up and murder Zelda / TJ. And the Elims would have to decide that Dannex was sufficiently exposed to attack him, which with 2 protectives out isn’t that strange… but everything here is setting off alarm bells and I don’t know if it’s because it’s unanticipated or otherwise. @WhiffleWaffles, did you ever get contacted by / placed in a PM with Dannex? Or TJ, maybe, but mostly Dannex. Also when did Quill contact you? And lastly, do you think you ever sucessfully redirected a kill? I’ll see if I can wake up in the morning (heh, morning…) and decide then. For now… this is all fishy, but two players hard sussing each other is a decent place to start. (For those who keep track of such things, this is a scenario where I like the tie. Two suspicious individuals, most likely nothing to manip, and at the end of the day I’d like to know the alignment of both.) -

I'll be gone for work tonight, until... well, until about midnight (PST) to be honest. So please... don't... don't wait for me this time. I'll be back, but not for 7 hours... and I never got a chance to tell Kas to sleep so I'll just tell you all not to stay up waiting for me to post or whatever it is that happened last day turn. Don't trust Quill, don't trust this Knight Alvron and Steel are null Trust Whiffle and Devotary For now Edit: forgot Mist... Mist is Null-Trust. Not sure which way it leans, but I don't want to kill them either way since they essentially can't be the last Elim. Although them being Quill's E!Knight would make some sense.
