  1. I mean, the first thing I thought was that Mads was completely new, then you mentioned that they weren't and were a returning player, which would line up with the returning Sith!Hael (yes Drake is returning, but they've been around a bit more than Mads/Hael). That, and Drake made a more dangerous person to clear as Village and was being quite active, which made sense for the Jedi to try and clear over Mads (or me, which I never really thought much of besides voting you + being a bit odd about some things). Thought one Jedi would be a bit more under the radar, which is another reason I believed Alv would be good. Also also Alv was a power role in the LG that I'm running and wasn't dead and flipped for most of this game, which made theorizing about him difficult but that game's still going so can't say too much. So a mix of Alv and Mads fitting my idea of where to look for Jedi and Drake not so much. And lastly I was tired and panicking slightly and didn't want to overthink things I did nail one of the clears was an Apprentice, as that's the only way you could get a 3rd clear is if you made an apprentice and knew their action was used - although my main hypothesis was one of you got redirected rather than Alv successfully Protecting. Now what to do with Kalabel... I've got a few ideas (She's not Faleast by the way. Only a few things would have made that a reality. Mainly a duel with Terantatek!Devo lol.)
  2. I think the main reason we stayed off the Lightning is because there would come a point where we’d need it off Cooldown if we wanted any chance of stopping a redirect/protect that could end us. It would have been much more useful to us C5 than it would have been pretty much any other cycle. Especially since Sith can’t see where Jedi actions are going (save vote manip), while every Sith action is pretty clearly shown happening to the Jedi.
  3. Basically although Transformation (and Gravitation) are last on the OoA so they can see certain changes, the actual action submission has to happen first and the eight Surges need to behave in mostly similar ways. Otherwise only those two Surges would be allowed to be used with no Stormlight in the event of a Tension-ing. (Another thing on this vein, although it matters less now - Transformation and Gravitation don’t fail if the Honorblade they’re using is Reclaimed.) May need to do something weird in the OoA in future games with these to better show that but idk.
  4. I knew Fifth would be lying about Alv being the other Jedi, I knew it and did nothing about it… and I would have guessed it was Mads anyway so maybe that’s for the best. Good game everyone, that came down to the wire fast but it was really fun! Holocrons and all
  5. LG91 Night 6: A Bladeless Art The remaining citizens of Earthen Truth gathered, save one. There were only eight now. One for each Honorblade they still had. Who knows who held what or how many though. They considered asking. The issue was, one of them was still Truthless. Sun-son-son-Tzu. With him gone, getting the truth should be much easier. But Sun had been loyal, and held no deceit about this. Nor any Honorblades. Elkanah was executed! They were a member of the Shin High Council! Jezrien's Honorblade has been reclaimed or redistributed! Vote Count: Elkanah (6): Araris Valerian, Shining Silhouette / Ookla the Debonair, Amanuensis / Ookla the Remembered, InfiniteInsanity, Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher, Tani / Ookla the Implosion InfiniteInsanity (1): Elkanah @ookla the POKE VOTE is under final warning for inactivity! They will be replaced by a pinch hitter or filter-killed if they do not post this turn. (I believe I have a pinch hitter but not 100% confirmed yet.) The turn will end on Thursday, December 8th at 11:00 PM PST.
  6. Byron gave a nod. "I guess so. But if there are dangers in there, running into a room blind might be more dangerous." He didn't add that he'd been trapped alone in a shifting maze before, and he'd gotten out. Eventually. The Alleys were a whole different adventure. "If we're really on a sundown timer I won't be the biggest help, but I can keep my metal turned down. And there's a few things that can do." Byron gave a small grin, then turned to the girl who'd wrote to him - the Lightweaver, if he knew his Surges right. "What about you, what's your name?"
  7. At the moment I believe I have a pinch hitter, but if Turtle doesn't come back by D7 and my pinch hitter isn't available then they would get filter killed.
  8. Alright... now what happens. Are Fifth and Wiz allowed to react to things said in the main thread while still talking in their duel thread, or should they stay there?
  9. Kalabel's eyes shot up as a table flew across the bar. She quickly dove behind one of her own, clutching the pyramid to her stomach. Part of her wanted to go out there and... oh who was she kidding, she couldn't fight. Especially not a drunken Jedi. Jedi? Maybe Jedi. Seemed close enough. Or just stay here. Find a way to slip out and head to Galtaran's. This wasn't something to fix, but he sometimes knew how to fix things that were broken in weird ways... Kalabel's train of thought drifted away as her hands once again began twitching over the red prism. It was a puzzle. One that wanted to be solved, because there wasn't much time. Wasn't much time for something. She jammed one of her unchewed fingernails into a small seam at the peak, feeling the nail flex as she tried to force it open. No luck. Moff seemed to be getting more agitated, there wasn't an answer, there wasn't time, she could feel it asking and begging and promising everything if it would just open- And then it did. With a satisfying whoosh. And Kalabel heard a beautiful voice. @Madagascar perhaps I can duel you tomorrow, if engineering doesn't try and ruin me again We are tied. Why are we tied. Fadran Matrim. Need to either do homework or sleep, but I'd much rather not have a tie than try and piece together why I sus Fadran and why you all don't. I think I have the general idea though.
  10. LG91 Day 6: Equal, Not Escaping It was a cold night. The Storm was coming again, and the streets of Earthen Truth were noticeably empty even in the evening. Such bloodshed for two handfuls of relics. Soon there might be more relics than people. Jen-child-Verin was one such person, keeping their eyes on the wood and dirt and blood that made the walls and buildings around. They thought they'd seen something earlier. Might as well look again. Jezrien's Honorblade could let them know if anyone was coming. Unfortunately for Jen, someone was. And the attacker didn't let them get away. JNV was killed! They were a member of the Shin High Council and the Bearer of Jezrien's Honorblade! Jezrien's Honorblade is available to be claimed by JNV's killer! If it remains unclaimed, it will be redistributed at the end of the Day Turn. @ookla the POKE VOTE / Turtle has been warned for inactivity! Please post this cycle or you will be replaced by a pinch hitter. The turn will end on Wednesday, December 7th at 11:00 PM PST. Player List:
  11. I'm... very tired. Being tired + trying to do in depth analysis of Mat is a great way to make me more tired. Mat, Fadran, Wiz, JNV. And Hael for good measure. Fadran and Mat ended up together a lot. But Fadran always made me feel worse about several things (Fifth train for one. That entire... wait, did you guys... oh I don't even know anymore.) I kinda want to hear the Jedi's thoughts on Fadran. So let's do that. I should be on for rollover + around the next several hours, although I have the LG and several things I should do during that time. Tag me if you need to yell at me for something Mads, I might be able to duel you in spirit next cycle. Not entirely sure though. Time is always running away.
  12. Byron gave a slight jump at the door slamming in the distance, but something told him that wouldn't be the biggest danger in the house. Then someone mentioned cadmium. "Uh..." was all he got out before the other person - Malsam? - answered. That she was used Allomantic cadmium too. Byron wasn't sure if he'd ever met another Pulser. It made sense, seeing how he'd lived for so long on Roshar. But it was still... odd. Might as well share. "I'm a Pulser too. I've used cadmium for... a long time. I can carry the bubble with me and slow down time and do a few other things. Other than that... I can think pretty fast, and I'm good with knives." He didn't mention he was a decent pickpocket - it seemed like it was the main idea, and the guardsman seemed to not like the idea of sticky fingers. Felt a bit strange, seeing as they were desperate to leave the house and everything else inside, but maybe there were multiple teams for multiple items.. That wasn't the most outlandish idea. "If you need someone to scout ahead, I'd be alright at that. It just won't be very fast." Byron paused for a second. "Also, if we have a deadline or are counting on the house changing at a consistent time... I might mess with that. Or your watches. Or anything made of aluminum at all."
  13. ... huh? ... oh. Nope I think I swapped yours and Chantara's. Real D5 Vote Count: Chantara (7): Araris Valerian, JNV, Shining Silhouette / Ookla the Debonair, Amanuensis / Ookla the Remembered, InfiniteInsanity, Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher, Elkanah Turtle / Ookla the POKE VOTE (1): Chantara JNV (1): Tani / Ookla the Implosion
  14. LG91 Night 5: With Pain The Storm Who could have killed a Stone Shaman? Many people in Earthen Truth revered the Shamanism. Thought it governed by the True Will of the Almighty, even above the Splinters of him that they held. And in some ways they were right. But in some ways even the Almighty had been vulnerable, as were the Shamans. But who could have done so? One individual had an idea. That someone - Chantara - had hidden from their sight somehow. Potentially a trick of the blade of Illumination. One of those Blades had been with the Tukari from the beginning until Stick's death, but another had been with Illwei when they died. And not seen since. An initial search of Chantara found nothing. But then someone took a gemstone from them, and it burst into light, and the various coins shimmered and turned into Tukari symbols. Another had been found. But they were not done here. Chantara was executed! They were a Tukari Invader and the Bearer of Paliah's Honorblade! Kalak's Honorblade has been reclaimed or redistributed! Paliah's Honorblade has been redistributed! Vote Count (corrected): Chantara (7): Araris Valerian, JNV, Shining Silhouette / Ookla the Debonair, Amanuensis / Ookla the Remembered, InfiniteInsanity, Archer / Ookla the Paragrapher, Elkanah Turtle / Ookla the POKE VOTE (1): Chantara JNV (1): Tani / Ookla the Implosion The turn will end on Monday, December 5th at 11:00 PM PST.
